it's actually not phenomenal. Will's terrible american pronunciation of Vessel's beautiful british english almost botched the whole performance. also flat voice, wrong tembre...good, nothing more. the chokehold cover is not half as good as his hypnosis cover...

I have actually fallen asleep to their music. Not only is the vocals white noise-ish, but the mix of everything just fills out the space in the audio so well. And rather than it being overwhelming and harsh, it’s more like a warm blanket of constant sound if that makes sense 😅

I understand every single word that Will sings. I’m in a local Death Metal band so I totally get it. He is the G.O.A.T of metal, heavy metal and death metal combined.
I saw Lorna Shore live last November, and Will's highs and harmonics are batshit live. They're so ear piercing. I don't think cameras and recording equipment can pick up the sound 100% accurately.
He did another one take of cursed to die, but he was holding the mic instead of having it on a stand like all the other ones. You can really see the different mouth shapes and tongue positions, I think you would enjoy it.
I have sleep issues.. Because of illness. Been like that for 15+ years. Nothing is better than listening to melodic metal. My all time favorite is a Australian band called Austere, with "This dreadful Emptiness" and "Just for a Moment" as the two sings I most likely listened most to. Its so calming and deep. Metal music is one of the most emotional and gifted genres out there. ( Granted there is many different genres and bad, some good some bad like in everything )
And to go along with arguably one of the "scariest" voices out there... Will has the nicest, down to earth, happy go lucky, personality you'll ever come across!!

I would put them more toward symphonic black metal than symphonic death metal, and black metal has long tradition in using symphonic elements. See for example Dimmu Borgir: Gateways live with Norway public broadcasting company orchestra. Dimmu Borgir is one of the few metal bands ever that have played live with orchestra and choir songs that were composed to be exactly like that. Usually they of course use backing tracks, but the symphony orchestra and choir are always there.
I always kinda assumed they sung in a voice slightly higher than a whisper and was amplified up to match the band. Otherwise they would tear their voice out
If I remember correctly from watching Kardavox Academy (Mark the host teaches people how to do harsh vocals like this) it may be slightly louder than their normal speaking voice; however, it isn’t as loud as people tend to think. I saw Lorna Shore live in November. When the sound cut out in the middle of a song I couldn’t hear anybody. Definitely not Will. I think they may have kept going while the sound was out based on were they were in the song when the sound came back on.
What I always find strange as a throat singer and a metal vocalist is that throat singing is accepted and considered beautiful and all of that but performing metal vocals and certain styles of metal vocals is the exact same layering principle. The only real difference, even in terms of mouth shape and tongue position, is how much distortion one has compared to the other. That's not to say they are the same. It is insteand to say if you can appreciate the change of timbre and pitch and whatnot in throat singing, then listen for the same in the harsh metal vocals you listen to and you can hear it there as well. Alex Terrible is particularly notable for how he layers his diction on his distortion and his double harmonic is the same thing done in throat singing but the distortion layer is altered.
You should react to ironmouse opera singing. She was a trained opera singer then caught a rare disease cvid. She can't leave her house and was bed ridden for years and nearly lost her voice. She's on round the clock oxygen and medicines but now she's a vtuber and sings and it's amazing
