I cannot accurately express the level of satisfaction and pleasure I get from watching exceptional musicians react to Will Ramos and see their astonishment at what he can do, as their brains melt...just like mine does. Not only is he a mindblowing vocalist but his ability to bend, warp, mold practically every syllable into an orchestra...with his voice, will never, ever get old. And he's just getting started. WTF
And then on top of that Will is literally the most genuinely happy person I’ve ever seen! Like watching him in interviews and other videos and seeing his energy while knowing the literal devil comes out of that man in the studio 😂 when they did the throat cam on him that’s groundbreaking stuff and now they have a whole program to teach you how he does all these crazy sounds. Awesome time for metalheads 🤘🏻
You're insanely good in analysis and immitating. Never saw such a great analysis besides Mark from Kardavox. I'd say you're even better in duplicating especiallyWill's high screams because of your tongue control. Insane.
I was lucky enough to see Lorna Shore three times in a row during their european tour like month ago, he does all this stuff every evening in like forty days, almost, for more than one hour, in this precision and in between the songs, he makes people happy, with things he says, he is not just an amazing vocalist, he is also a great performer and entertainer, he is a true gem, love your analysis, thank you
"Fisher Price phonation". Perfect. Great analysis, Phil. Will's ability to be "in key" really helps Lorna sound massive, especially live. So impressive in person.
I've listened to this song better than 20 times, and I'd never noticed that slide "Breee" at 26:00 before. Another reason I love vocal analysis videos.
I love how you explain what happens in the mouth and the vocal tract during singing like this, or in general. You explain it simple and without typical "vocal coach lingo" (even though you add it too sometimes, understandably so). It's easier for "noobs" like me to understand what happens physically during growling or singing. Thank you, Mr. Freeman!
God, I love your appreciation for everything he does. Your giddiness is infectious and I just love when you do these! You, sir, are an incredible vocalist as well!
What I find so impressive about this performance, this was the first and only take. Dude just rocked up, killed it, and dipped. xD Learned a lot from this analysis. You were able to explain how sounds were made and felt that made a lot more sense to me, way more so than other people i've heard talk about harsh vocals.
holy shit this is one of the best reactions im only at 8:09 of the video and i absolutely love your explanations and did not expect you to show the vocals yourself as well! I love this :D definetely going to check your other reactions as i already see on the right side the reaction to another one take from 2 years ago haha.
I love how much appreciation you've been putting into metal vocals, your reactions are always so thoughtful and educational! I don't know if you're familiar with the metal vocalist 'Guillaume Villeneuve', but I promise you a really interesting and unique whistle / kettle scream. His current main band is 'Beyond Deviation', but my recommendation for an intro to his vocals would be the track "Thoughts Ov Sanity" by "Pear of Anguish" because it has a couple of sections (particularly 1:40) that really showcase his signature sound super clearly. Even if it's not for a video, please check him out, I can't wrap my head around what is going on in that man's throat and I think you'd find it really interesting! (btw: he has a video filmed in his car demonstrating how to combine that distinct sound with zombie highs etc. for something totally crazy lol)
Great vocal breakdown!!! I loved it. Since you reacted to Will Ramos, I think you should check the OG of arytenoidal gutturals, mr. Travis Ryan and his band Cattle Decapitation. He's still the master of that technique, and his pitched, "sung" highs are absurd, inhuman even.
Your explanation of pitch bases with a filter over them for screaming is the first good one I’ve ever found and I’m excited to see if it’s what I’ve been missing in screaming
Merry Christmas Phil!! Love this analysis. I'm no singer but I can only be amazed by Will's talent. You're so talented as well, one of the few that can actually understand what he's singing and do the same techniques that Will does. Keep it up dude 🤟🏻🤟🏻. Btw as a latino, I love the Café Bustelo plant vase you have 👏🏻👏🏻
Great banger reaction Philip yeah Lorna shore is definitely the huge banger bands around Will Ramos vocals are sick banger you know heavy vocals he did is just wow awesome texture to it Philip and yeah I agree screaming in deathcore songs are challenging to do as a vocalist you know it take practice and dedication bro such a kick ass cover will did amazing reaction ever love you Philip 🤘😁
Phil, if you read dis, first of all a very happy C'mas ! can you please tell us as the first reactor how big Will's vocal drop is from within the solo of Welcome back o"sleeping dreamer into the breakdown? still dying to know from how high to how low he goes there...

Dude. You would make a great deathcore singer.
I appreciate that! I have some ideas for some side projects. You can do everything but not at once 😂

Let’s get Will Ramos sleep token chokehold cover next!!!
Awesome to see another analysis Phillip! Thanx brother. Appreciate all your work and Happy Holidays 🖤🤘🏼
Amazing analysis video, glad I subbed after the video with Elizabeth 🔥 thank you, Will Ramos content is always so welcome lol
Any one else, turn their head towards the screen when Phil replicated Will's scream?
This was fun and informative. Will looks bored LOL... Fisher Price. Also Jackson is adorable. Reminds me of my Great Pyrenees.

Great review!
Which technique is Will using here? False chord? Fry? A mix? Or another one?
Thanks! It’s difficult to pin down for sure but I believe he is using a mixture of the two and switching back and forth!
Waiting for Of The Abyss one take as well. ❤
