The cider onion soup sounded and looked absolutely fabulous, perfect for a bit chilly autumn day. As for the fish and chips, I can't judge it, as I am allergic against fish. But it sounded very good. Worth the price, I would say yeah, without a shadow of a doubt, as after Gary did Jamie Oliver's new restaurant in London and my wife and went there, andit was really good and I was really surprised, with a bottle of wine between us and a port with the dessert, I was happy to pay the price.
Well yes, Dublin is pricy, it always was... the wine looks so good 😂 I would have prefered this as my soup 😊😊😊 we can buy these chips at our supermarkets, they are callled chippers 😂
I think the fish was standing on its edge, to stop the batter on the flat part of the fish going soggy, the heat causes steam and softens the batter. similar to when you put toast in a toast rack. 😊
What's reasonable about a plate of 9 euros for a plate of soup pkzzz don't care who they are it's extortion for that. He got got a cheek to promote healthy inexpensive school dinners also in expensive home dinners this peazzz me off when all know the prices of stuff don't go on your name because you made it ffs over priced celebrity chefs.........
Looking really good greeno, enyoing all your reviews so far! One consideration I have is that when you are tasting and describing the food, you are still chewing instead of just taking a second or two and swallow.
Great review thanks Greeno! Love French onion soup but it can be a meal in itself so nice to have a lighter version on offer. Those scalloped chips are quite common around northern Italy and Croatia and I must say they're brilliant when fresh - great for dipping and catching the salt!
Another great video Mr Greeno. Loved the way the Fish was presented. Before I noticed the chips in the bucket on right of screen, I thought it was actually being propped up by a pile of chips 😀Despite my advancing years, I've never had Hake before.........since watching this, have added to my bucket list. Thank you.
I am surprised you never had Hake, when I was growing up in Birmingham in the late ‘40s and the ‘50s Hake was the preferred fish along side Plaice,we never went for Cod because it is tasteless.I don’t eat Cod even to this day as I prefer a fish with more taste,I don’t eat battered fish, preferring a sautéed fish instead.🧙🏻♀️🕷️
Hi, welcome to Dublin. Nice review 💚 normally watch Gary Eats on here but lovely to see another great review channel! Happy you enjoyed my home town eats 💚
Been to a ciuple of Jaimes restaurants years ago before they all closed and can honestly say food has always been good and prices always doable. Glad to see that continues. Looked like a really enjotable meal without the showy pretensions.
Great video Greeno, never been to Ireland before but looks like a lovely place, that french onion soup looked very nice, the fish and chips looked good too, never seen a battered fish standing up before. Great as always Greeno 💚
Like many others I have come across from Gary eats. Nice review Greeno I have subbed. Now I will have to binge watch your videos from the start to catch up. ps I always liked Jamie Olivers simple cooking.
Even before one o' clock,I would have my reservations about Mr Oliver - one might wryly suggest that the frozen chips were due to fresh potato supply issues - but really all you can do as a reviewer is comment on the food in front of you. It looked good, and the soup was clearly well made, with the fish and chips nicely prepared and thought through as a dish. Everyone deserves another chance, and it looks as though the new low-key Jamie Oliver concept, with a few decent dishes as opposed to a hammy attempt at fine dining, is better than his previous incarnation. Like Rainbow in the 70s and Timmy Mallett, from the 80s there is a certain nostalgia value in the cheeky, banister-riding Jamie of the 90s. So here's hoping things continue to be "pukka" for the Naked Chef, who after all built his reputation on making good food simple... Nice review. With nostalghia in mind, let us hope Jamie doesn't end by, er, bungling it, making us go BLEURRRGGGHHH. Where's my mallet?
Haha, this is the second reference I have heard to Timmy Mallet - the other being on an episode of the off menu podcast I was listening too while galivanting around Yorkshire!
I've been to Dublin a couple of times I went to Farm Foods today and got a couple of their curries and some mayflower curry sauce (55p each) which will be a lot cheaper than getting it from the takeaway I took the afternoon off work so i could have a few pints with no-one talking to me they do my head in
Nice one Greeno . Great food at a price . The onion soup looked very good. Long time since i had onion soup and that looked first class . Great review 👍👍👍. Cant wait to see you reviewing Christmas dinners lol.
It was excellent, and good value. I guess it won't be long before Christmas menus start to appear... I expect some turkey is likely to be reviewed between now and Christmas that's for sure!
Really enjoyed that video Greeno. I have to say the food looked amazing Wow that fish looked the part. Omg. Wish it was on my plate for dinner. Great score Thanks and take care
It Took a bit of time Greeno but ive subscribed to your channel as i find you fair and easy to listen to. Keep up the good work and keep an eye on that waist line!!
That fish looked amazing. I was in Dublin 19 years ago, but for a stag weekend so it was only a lot of Guinness, magners and kebabs. Wish I'd of tried all their other great looking food, Irish stew, spice bags, fish n chips, Irish brekkies, as love white pudding. Enjoy yourself Greeno, keep up the great vids 👍👍👍
The thing about jamie is he can actually cook - the relaxed but hearty food ... french/euro brasserie style I would suggest is and always should have been his go to. Do it well and you really cant go wrong.
I’ve got several of Oliver’s books and watched many of his tv series , and I thought the recurring influence was Italian , may be wrong as I’ve never eaten in any of his venues.
I think he's quite misunderstood by Internet culture. He has never really stepped out of his 'comfort zone' and I mean that in all the right ways. In terms of his food content, it has always been about simplicity with the occasional inventive twist. He will take inspiration from all over, so is of course often pilloried by the usual baying mobs that attend to such things. There have been well documented issues with some of his endeavours, but this is very much par for the course in the razor-thin margin world of hospitality. His chain restaurants were generally good at the price point, albeit suffering from all of the issues that come from chain restaurants (ie their commerciality inevitably compromises their quality to some degree). But as with the content, I would argue, this is chiefly due to people not being reasonable with their expectations. I don't expect the same thing from McDonald's that I do from Le Manoir...
@@differentname5867 I think has always been quite good at differing euro dishes I feel that when he tried to focus on one style such as Italian and solely Italian, it was deterimental and overly limiting to him. Great video - clearly a fine restaurant which represents its talent, Jamie Oliver, very well. Your video serves a really useful purpose too - how to have a great meal out on a break in Dublin without facing foreclosure! And that means prospective visitors can breathe a little easier before summing up their pricey hotel bill. Well done Greeno!
I was certainly pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced this meal was, especially given the name above the door, and the central Dublin location. As you allude to, not much is cheap in Dublin that's for sure!!
HI Greeno,Another fantastic video so you are finding some great places to eat, Well I am not a fan of all the top chefs but give Jamie some credit he has been doing a lot of good work outside his restaurants. The food that you had was making me feel hungry that Onion Soup was heaven and Fish and Chips was lovely to apart from those mussy peas. What I liked about that restaurant it was plain and simple. Mark 9/10 Thank you for sharing.
There are certainly some questions around some of the actions when his restaurant empire came crashing down. But while I mentioned that in the intro, my job is to review the food etc. and it was excellent here
I would have walked away just seeing the name, but must admit the food etc. apart from the loud music was pretty good as your excellent review showed. Cheers Greeno 😊👍
I understand why people have this position on him, given the quite frankly disgraceful set of circumstances around the closure of his previous restaurant empire
Hello Greeno👋 Must say everything did look lovely and the price you paid for it wasn't bad for Dublin Until next time take care and keep up the awesome work 👍🤗🍀
Great review Greeno food looked lush. For a Jamie Oliver restaurant price was on point his previous chain of restaurants were terrible in portion size and quality of food. He basically took bad financial advice and overstretched financially. I have all his cook books and watch his shows I think that’s how he stayed afloat to open a few restaurants and his wife is a clever lady. Like all our wives😂😂😂 great vlog Best wishes from a 🥶🏴🏴🏴
That looked great both the soup and the fish. We have found it so hard to get good fish and chips in Ireland, I live in Kerry and my other half is in Dublin. We often try to find a good one to get close to our favourite one, which was La Fish in Chichester. This looks worth a try and we might go there while Christmas shopping soon. Thanks Greeno.👍
Harriet and I were big fans of Jamie Oliver . In the states he was very popular on public tv in the states with his cooking shows. When we found out that his restaurants were closing up. We were surprised. to hear that. It seems he has learned somes lessons about growing his business. The Dublin restaurant renews our faith in him. Did you say you would go back ? All the best my friend 👍👍 from Jim and Harriet
His school dinner project backfired. The food was dry and flavourless so no one ate them. Sacking over 200 staff with no notice. Owing literally millions to suppliers because of his greed and ego. Very helpful. What a cheeky scamp!
I'll never understand why restaurants have loud music. Not exactly relaxing if you have to shout to have a conversation. I would go there for the food though. The soup looked fantastic. Good on you Greeno for showing us a great celebrity chef restaurant. I've always loved Jamie.
Apart from the questionable chips and the croute covered in cheese 🤢, everything else looked really good food along with being value for money! Good to see that your not paying for the name. Great review Greeno. Keep em coming.
Yes very good for the money, and mashing garden peas with mint for mushy peas. I will make them that way next time. Well presented and fair view, I thought. I will subscribe. 😊
Aww wow that soup 🍲 looks amazing nice big bowl 🥣 too Greeno love French Onion Mum uses to make mean one lol 😆 😅 Love my croutons too Greeno! Really makes it ❤🎉 Wow that fish looks amazing 👏 😍 😋 A wonderful review again Greeno take care Helen (henny Penny) in Australia 🇦🇺 ❤🎉
When you mentioned Jamie Oliver, I gave the biggest eye-roll in history because the one in Perth WA was a disaster, but this one is good. How did other people's dishes look?
I think if folk are serving you (and actually making an effort to be polite and courteous) then it's important as a customer that you show them the same courtesy!
I never knew that place was there and I live not far from there. I might give it a try, go for lunch with friends for a Christmas treat. I will give the soup a miss though as I hate onions as much as you hate mushrooms lol. Great review, and saw you on Gary's last one, hope the beers were good!
(160) Looked like a solid meal; interesting soup. One can forgive a place for not doing chips from scratch when the rest of the elements are so beautifully done. Great upload, Greeno.
That fish is wonderful. It's as good as the Wetherspoons Fish i had recently. Was piping hot , crispy chips and batter and good mushy peas. Competing with spoons that is good.
Finally caught up with this one Greeno! Top Video as always sir, agree with your comment regarding the chips and a fair score in my opinion. Off to Dean Court shortly Greeno? ⚽️ ….Smithy
Nice one Greeno! Dublin is not cheap so seems very good value, I've paid more in a pub... Did you ever identify the fish ? looked like Hake , and the cook looked perfect.
Greeno wearing Reddo, sitting on Reddo chair, with Greeno stuff on the plate! Great review, but never forget, Red and Green should never be seen! Give us a Chip! You made me hungry!
Hi Greeno. That food looked excellent. The prices were reasonable as well, especially for a celebrity chef's establishment. The music would put me off however. In my opinion restaurant music should be very much of the background variety to create a relaxing atmosphere.
We’ll much more pleasing decor than you hotel room Greeno! Soup looked lovely, good size bowl too. I confess to being a bit drooly over that.😋 Fish looked like the Rock of Gibraltar, very sculptural! Yum! Shame about the chips. Not fond of Mr O but that did look good. Why they think they have to blast you with music I don’t know, it puts me off but the food looked good. Thank you Greeno. 😊
Aside from the slightly odd chips, and the crazy loud music it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. And yes, it was done out more nicely than my Premier Inn was!!
Food looked great Greeno; or should we call you the new "Doctor Who" as someone spotted your Tardis in Huddersfield earlier lol! 😊 Jamie certainly is not stingy with his portion sizes. Massive bowl of lovely onion & cider soup and those fish & chips looked fab too.
I do like to get around - I reckon I'd make a good Doctor Who - just politely asking the Daleks if they'd mind not exterminating me as I have a fish and chips to eat!
It was all very tasty Denise - and for a place with a celebrity chef name attached very reasonably priced I thought! Biryani sounds good though. I am home alone tonight, have a chicken roasting in the oven.
Wow Greeno. That looked bangin. I’m confused though. I was watching Gary earlier and you walked in at the end. Then Greeno eats came up so I didn’t leave a review for Garry and clicked on you. But you’re in Dublin! What’s going on???
Hi greeno. As you said cleb chefs lets wait and see greeno. Not fish not its not my kind of food. But please enjoy your wine and food. Thank you again great video. Ann❤xx.
Interesting one as you clearly enjoyed it but to me it looks fairly pricey for food which didn't seem great, even given Dublin tourist prices. The chips being bought in would have been enough for me to send it back given the price. I'm glad you liked it and a good review.
Thanks for the kind words. Believe me, by Dublin standards this was not an expensive meal - that cod and chips plate was about 6 Euro more than the spice bag I got... I know which one was the tastier and better quality!!
Haha - yeah I guess his theory there is that adults are big enough to make their own decisions, but kids in school should have better options than nuggets and chips :-)
I love French onion soup, used to buy jars of Epicure, that was taste heaven! Not something you can get anymore, unfortunately! Yours looked lovely. Did look value for money, not paying to much for a name which makes a change, not that I like the name, for the reasons you were thinking of, but not verbalising! Definitely a step up from the spice bag or bucket!
In spite of the "issues" around Jamie and restaurant ownership, I have to say this was excellent, and great value. Give me this over that Spice Bucket any time!!
HI Greeno .... I've had a really long day, but I made sure to watch your video. .... Okay, the food actually looked good - very low risk type stuff - but I think that works better for Jamie. He has had some absolute business disasters in recent years. However, he has a famous name and should stick to simple high quality concepts .... Good review.
Hope you get a good sleep after your tough day (hopefully my video didn't send you to sleep though haha!) - I guess I did pick safe-ish choices on the menu - just went with what I wnted to eat :-) I was surprised how good it was for the money though
Hey Greeno - love the vids. Will try my best to trust your judgement on the French onion soup. You were there and I have not been to that particular Jamie Oliver restaurant - but it looked awful. That was not in any shape or form a classic French onion soup. Firstly it was incredibly runny looking judging by how it looked when you were putting your spoon through it. Secondly, but most important, the onions in any onion soup but especially French onion soup are the star of the show. They looked totally white. The onions should be incredibly dark and super well caramelised which they were absolutely not. Thirdly and also very important too - how can any serious professional chef place any crouton, large or small or toasted bread in a soup. Iy gets soggy and defeats the whole point. Especially in such a runny consistency of the soup. I have a lot of time for Jamie but in my not so humble opinion, I don't have to be there to see how bad soup must be - at the very least on the points I have made. But the lack of caramelization of those onions is totally unforgivable. Much respect, and I am a huge fan of your content. But Please please please, try some other French onion soups before giving that one such praise. Or rather would be very interesting to see how you would reevaluate it after trying others. Once again thanks so much for your channel and to the general community. I always eagerly look forward to each new chapter :)
Thanks for your detailed comment, and your kind words about my channel. As for the soup, it was classed as an Irish onion soup - and whilst different in many ways to the classic French Onion soup it actually worked quite well. Using cider and what I assume to be pork stock made for a lighter dish, whilst still incredibly flavoursome. The lighter soup worked well as a lunchtime started for me. Of course, as with any reviewer, it's all down to personal taste, and I fully accept that others may, and will have different opinions to myself :-)
I think that looked really nice not a fan of mushy peas ,the fish looked amazing, even if they were posh chips triple cooked they are frozen so if you can get a good frozen one bought in why not, gives them more time to concentrate on other things like that amazing onion soup ,nice review i would deffo go there 👍👍,when you going to wakefield 3 flames wakefield could be a good one for you and gary says he will go never does but spends £100 on a porterhouse steak you can get anywhere, would be a great xmas treat for both of you 👍👍👍👍
I was in Yorkshire just this week!! Didn't know about that place - I'll have a look - maybe it will be on the list for my next trip to that part of the world (it's a long drive from Dorset!!)
Looked a really good meal to be fair - which surprised me in that I find Oliver's food rather lightweight (which you did allude to in the soup part) ... bit like a lager with no alcohol in it. This habit of mint (which I love) in mushy peas for me is a big no no when knocking up basically, a traditional fish, chips and peas. Your score seems about right I think. Sauvignon Blanc ...... a tip for you .... don't get one from The Loire as you intimated ..... go to New Zealand for classier stuff, particularly if it's from The Marlborough area. A great starting point would be Villa Maria Private Bin.
Happy to see you were able to get a good lunch today, though for me it would have been the Hake in mustard sauce,I don’t care about battered fish.I find the comments on UK food reviews very interesting, they are so much more judgmental that the comments on American review channels,Americans are much easier going than us. I think I never realized how blunt we can be even though it’s been mentioned to me that I at times just say things as I see them, and my American friends tend to be more careful when making a comment, and if they do say something out of place it’s usually from ignorance, not malice.😊
In my experience (of having worked for a US company for 20 years) - we may be more blunt, but some Americans can be more outright rude. And as you mention an awful lot of ignorance from some folk I have dealt with in the States too - as if anything outside of the US barely actually exists lol. I would like to stress this is not my experience all all Americans before I get piled on!!
Agree with the chip review! However Irish spuds have been terrible the last two years ( and expensive) so it reflects in the price which for Dublin wasn’t too bad!
Hi folks - the third of my Dublin mini-series, and hopefully a step up from my Spice Bag experience!!
Let me know what you thought about this - good value?
The cider onion soup sounded and looked absolutely fabulous, perfect for a bit chilly autumn day. As for the fish and chips, I can't judge it, as I am allergic against fish. But it sounded very good. Well I am not a fan of all the top chefs but give Jamie some credit he has been doing a lot of good work outside his restaurants. The food that you had was making me feel hungry that Onion Soup was heaven and Fish and Chips was lovely to apart from those mussy peas.
What I liked about that restaurant it was plain and simple.
Mark 9/10
Thank you for sharing.
A very fair comment all round there - glad you enjoyed the review!
Great review Greeno❤. I never understood until recently why Jamie is so controversial in the UK. Have a nice day!
There are certainly some questions around some of the actions when his restaurant empire came crashing down. But while I mentioned that in the intro, my job is to review the food etc. and it was excellent here
@GreenoEats I'm glad! 😊
Hello Greeno👋
Must say everything did look lovely and the price you paid for it wasn't bad for Dublin
Until next time take care and keep up the awesome work 👍🤗🍀
It was absolutely lovely, and the pricing was more than fair I think!
that looked delish, good review mate
It certainly was a tasty lunch, thanks for the kind words
Lovely, looked yum, ty for sharing , Jamie came up trumps then 🎉
He did indeed!
Like all our wives😂😂😂 great vlog Best wishes from a 🥶🏴🏴🏴
Glad you enjoyed the video. I think you're right, if he goes on steady then he can build it into something successful yet manageable!
I hope you'll find it as good as I did!
Fair play Greeno that looked absolutely beautiful great content as usual was Jamie there cooking it?.
It was really good. I didn't see into the kitchen, but I'm gonna assume no, he didn't cook it!
"Happy Dayyze" as the Mockney One would say! Looks like you picked a winner with that tasty lunch for a reasonable price. ☘️👍
Yes, I was surprised to get a meal of that quality for that price in a "name" restaurant.
Great Review, Greeno.
Thanks, I appreciate that!
I would go back, I very much enjoyed the meal there!
Good review, thanks Greeno. Birds Eye have bought out some chips called The Dipper. I have seen them in Asda, they look just like the ones you had,
I might have to give them a try, the kids will love them!!
His school dinner project backfired. The food was dry and flavourless so no one ate them.
Sacking over 200 staff with no notice.
Owing literally millions to suppliers because of his greed and ego.
Very helpful. What a cheeky scamp!
I do understand the position you take, as I referenced on the intro I certainly have mixed feelings
I do understand the position you take, as I referenced on the intro I certainly have mixed feelings
A smashing video review. ❤
Thanks, I really appreciate that!
Great place, great prices and great review nice one Greeno
👌😊😊
Phil Green
Yes, for a "celeb chef" place I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food for the price
That looked pretty good! Which is a shame because I really dislike J*mie Ol*v*r and wanted it to be bad. Great video as always!
He's a bit of a Marmite characted isn't he!
Really nice Greeno no complaints from me. Agree re the chips everything else on point
Yep - it was 90%+ of the way to being perfect
Great vlog, thanks. Looked a lovely meal. xx
It really was good - surprisingly so for the money paid!!
Saw you on Garys channel, came over for a look, delighted to see you in Ireland. New sub here.
Welcome to the channel - I hope you'll enjoy this little Dublin mini series and the rest of the content too!
@@GreenoEats Thank you so much!
I'll never understand why restaurants have loud music. Not exactly relaxing if you have to shout to have a conversation. I would go there for the food though. The soup looked fantastic. Good on you Greeno for showing us a great celebrity chef restaurant. I've always loved Jamie.
Thanks Siobhan, the music is a bit maddening (especially as it makes it harder to film!)
Real pukker !
Great review all round.
Thank you, as celebrity chef places go, this one surprised me, for quality and price!
Apart from the questionable chips and the croute covered in cheese 🤢, everything else looked really good food along with being value for money! Good to see that your not paying for the name. Great review Greeno. Keep em coming.
I will do, thanks 🙂
Good review, I must give it a go. I was on that street earlier today.
It’s definitely worth a try, I liked it.
Yes very good for the money, and mashing garden peas with mint for mushy peas.
I will make them that way next time.
Well presented and fair view, I thought. I will subscribe. 😊
Glad you enjoyed the video Peter, and welcome to the channel! I hope you enjoy you experiment with the peas!!
Yeah, this was a good’un Helen 🙂
@GreenoEats It made me feel very hungry indeed 😋 😅🤣😂
When you mentioned Jamie Oliver, I gave the biggest eye-roll in history because the one in Perth WA was a disaster, but this one is good. How did other people's dishes look?
Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked good - service was great for everyone else as far as I could see.
So good that you have manners unlike you know who who seems nervous and never interacts with staff etc
I think if folk are serving you (and actually making an effort to be polite and courteous) then it's important as a customer that you show them the same courtesy!
I think its mac master can't stand him
Great review - seemed very fair. Made me want to eat there!
Thanks Andrew, it’s worth a try if you’re ever in the area
Success another good celebrity chef restaurant, not bad value and food looked lovely 👍
It was really surprisingly good for the money!
I never knew that place was there and I live not far from there. I might give it a try, go for lunch with friends for a Christmas treat. I will give the soup a miss though as I hate onions as much as you hate mushrooms lol. Great review, and saw you on Gary's last one, hope the beers were good!
The first beer was tasty, but we have to try another couple more just to make sure 😉
@GreenoEats No surprise there 😆
(160) Looked like a solid meal; interesting soup. One can forgive a place for not doing chips from scratch when the rest of the elements are so beautifully done. Great upload, Greeno.
Yes - I only had minor quibbles - otherwise excellent and very fairly priced!!
I think the soup looks good, the fish and chips and extras 😋 sauces looks delicious 😋 enjoy
The soup really was excellent, a French Onion Soup, but lighter, which made it an ideal lunchtime dish!
That fish is wonderful. It's as good as the Wetherspoons Fish i had recently. Was piping hot , crispy chips and batter and good mushy peas. Competing with spoons that is good.
Haha - I am sure Jamie Oliver has slightly higher aspirations than competeing with Spoons, but he'll take it !
Finally caught up with this one Greeno! Top Video as always sir, agree with your comment regarding the chips and a fair score in my opinion. Off to Dean Court shortly Greeno? ⚽️ ….Smithy
Cheers Smithy. Good results for both our teams today! How was the date, we need an update 😉
@ yessss Greeno!! Get in!! ⚽️⚽️ yes all good thank sir 😊
Nice one Greeno! Dublin is not cheap so seems very good value, I've paid more in a pub... Did you ever identify the fish ? looked like Hake , and the cook looked perfect.
Yes hake - and it was perfectly cooked as you say. Very good value for a restaurant with a name attached.
Greeno wearing Reddo, sitting on Reddo chair, with Greeno stuff on the plate! Great review, but never forget, Red and Green should never be seen! Give us a Chip! You made me hungry!
Greeno in a red sweater - a colourblind person's nightmare!!
Hi Greeno. That food looked excellent. The prices were reasonable as well, especially for a celebrity chef's establishment. The music would put me off however. In my opinion restaurant music should be very much of the background variety to create a relaxing atmosphere.
Yes, the trend to have ever louder music is quite annoying!
We’ll much more pleasing decor than you hotel room Greeno!
Soup looked lovely, good size bowl too. I confess to being a bit drooly over that.😋
Fish looked like the Rock of Gibraltar, very sculptural!
Jamie certainly is not stingy with his portion sizes. Massive bowl of lovely onion & cider soup and those fish & chips looked fab too.
I do like to get around - I reckon I'd make a good Doctor Who - just politely asking the Daleks if they'd mind not exterminating me as I have a fish and chips to eat!
That fish looks gorgeous. I'm in envy. However, Biryani is my meal tonight. The soup looked tasty too. 👍
It was all very tasty Denise - and for a place with a celebrity chef name attached very reasonably priced I thought! Biryani sounds good though. I am home alone tonight, have a chicken roasting in the oven.
@GreenoEats Enjoy your roast chicken. 👍
Saw you on Gary eats so thought I would give you a go.😂
Welcome to the channel Tina!
Wow Greeno. That looked bangin. I’m confused though. I was watching Gary earlier and you walked in at the end. Then Greeno eats came up so I didn’t leave a review for Garry and clicked on you. But you’re in Dublin! What’s going on???
I can teleport pal :-) haha!! I was in Dublin filming last week, and up in Yorkshire this week... getting around a bit at the moment!!
HI look yum my sort of meal haven't been out for many year's just A little surprised AT the cost of A meal now. good video thanks 👌👌👍👍
Eating out is certainly an expensive venture these days
Wow, how big was that fish, looked so tasty! Hope you had a good trip :)
It was a whopper wasn't it !
Hi greeno.
As you said cleb chefs lets wait and see greeno.
Not fish not its not my kind of food.
But please enjoy your wine and food.
Thank you again great video.
Ann❤xx.
I did really enjoy this lunch Ann !
@@GreenoEats my mistake, I should have compared them!
Excellent video Greeno thank you. Did you find out what fish it was? It looked like haddock?
Didn’t Greeno say it was Hake a sweet fish.
It was hake, my taste buds were proved correct!
yep :-)
I like all the positive comments you are well loved my friend
I hope so my friend!!
Jamie back on the naked chef days made a fry up in one pan then he went around the schools to stop them serving junk food 🙈
Haha - yeah I guess his theory there is that adults are big enough to make their own decisions, but kids in school should have better options than nuggets and chips :-)
Looks beautiful & a good price 👌 👍
Agreed!
A crackin' review :)
Thanks Andy!
@@GreenoEats just imagine you gary ?and danny it would be amazing watch for xmas 😄😄😄😄
@@richardheaton8007 haha - I imagine they both have their own plans 🙂
I do like a Marlborough Sauv Blanc it's a regular feature at Greeno Towers 🙂
Hi greeno, they are lamb wesson skin on fries, good quality bought in fries
Ah, I knew somebody would know what they are, thanks for that!
Agree with the chip review! However Irish spuds have been terrible the last two years ( and expensive) so it reflects in the price which for Dublin wasn’t too bad!
Ah, ok, that could explain it. Same problem in the UK too - too much rain at the wrong times in the potato growing cycle
Great looking fish.
It was very good 🙂
Ex vids Geeno😊,
See u will be invited to Jamie's place for Xmas din dins😅😅😅
Haha - I am sure he has more important things to be doing than engaging with myself!
Considering it is a celebrity named / endorsed restaurant, that wasn't too horrific price-wise. The food looked cracking too.
It was really good Tim, and excellent value I thought too.
Why does nobody ask for the music to be turned down.? I always do at the beginning of a meal,if they refuse I leave.
I have on occasion if the place isn’t that busy asked for the music to be turned down, but I guess at the end of the day it’s not my decision!
