I would say that the team associated pro 4 is definitely a good truck but IMO the Losi tenacity tt pro is the best rtr sct hands down! Aluminum lcg chassis, towers, and shocks. Droop settings. Best part of the Losi for racing is it has 3 differentials. And all metal drivetrain
I haven’t had a chance to test one yet; it looks like a solid platform also! To be fair, the Losi is $499. FWIW at that price point you are approaching a competition kit investment.
@@DirtConcept @infamousrc2536 Dirt is correct here. He clearly factors in cost as part of the value when you watch the video. Your comment (infamous's) speaks to the overall best performing not factoring in cost. Yes, not factoring in cost it'd be hard to do much better than a Losi Tenacity. You could be likely right here. Although I think the Tekno 410.3 might have something to say about that or more likely the new Tekno 410SL is the new champ. But all 3 of those are amazing rigs. Back to the point. Dollar for dollar, the Pro4 is hard to beat. A the same time, the law of diminishing return says that a less expensive RC naturally will give you a better value dollar for dollar. So the pro4 here should be hard to beat. All that being said, I can't understand why someone would buy say a 4x4 Slash when this is cheaper & better.
I've got both the SCPro4 and Tenacity TT and the Losi is hands down the better racer out of the box. But yep that comes at an extra cost. But Pro4 is a more durable basher. I beat the snot out of mine and it takes it. For an all round RC it's hard to beat.
Hey, great little video, My local track is 2WD only indoors during the winter, and bigger faster 4WD in the summer on the outdoor track. Is it possible to just remove a centre driveshaft on this to make it 2WD?
Any idea what hex is needed to be able to fit Slash 4x4 wheels? Can't find anything with SC10 offset locally. Slash 4x4 offset (whatever that is), no problem.
Nice setup but if you have to upgrade the RTR it is not the best RTR for the price since you had to spend more money on top of what you spent on the RTR
@@DirtConcept Thanks, what wheels, I have the RAID wheels with Gladiator tires on mine, I also had totally redone all electronics and got a Sanwa MT-R radio.
I picked up a couple of these for my kiddos to bash. Was very impressed with how well they drive and jump. I find the servos satisfactory...actually better than servos I have been getting in Losi and ARRMA RTRs. I think the ESC and motor are bare minimum for this truck; they both get hotter than I would like when my kids are running them on 2S. Receiver went bad on one of them pretty quickly though. Also, one of the trucks seems to hit voltage cutoff noticeably sooner than the other one...I don't know what that is about. But, it is a great platform overall, especially considering the price.
I did the same thing! Can’t beat it for the price. The stock servo was just too slow and I felt a better servo made the truck a lot easier to drive. Agreed on the motor as well. If you keep the truck stock and run it on 2S with stock gearing it’ll be fine.
So… i’m kinda trying to get something not a tekno, that can actually our perform sc10 OG 4x4, belt drive, indooor…. This aint it… like, i guarentee your jaw will drop if you drive the old version…
It’s a budget friendly entry level RTR that can be raced. If we are talking competition level kits I’d look at the newest Tekno SCT. Big difference in cost and performance. The Tekno is hands down the best SCT on the market at the moment in my opinion.
The Arrma is a great truck for bashing and speed runs. It’s built like a tank. However, I’ve driven a few and both times I was not impressed with their capability on the track. 🤷♂️
@Dirt Concepts the capabilities come with driver skill, vehicle DOES offers adjustability, adaptability, and durability beyond whats offered by team associated. If you are not impressed, then the variable would be the pilot.... NOT THE MACHINE. In order to be considered better, it must improve on existing..... your best is an opinion at best, far from a fact but cool content 👌
@@jah-jah87you’re wrong. Though it’s built like a tank it was not designed for the track. And to call out someone driving. Come to our local track and beat some of us. These wheels are compatible. www.amainhobbies.com/jconcepts-12mm-hex-hazard-short-course-wheels-w-3mm-offset-white-2-sc5m-jco3344/p221357
Do you have to have 2 of those Exotek fan mounts or just 1 to mount the Protek fan.

AKA Impacts in SSLW compound.

Can you tell me the total weight of the vehicle?
Thanks ;)
2834 grams

No idea, haven’t driven one.
