I just posted that I'd been unsubbed... for no reason. I was several videos behind, and also noticed I was unsubbed from 3 other channels... all gun channels. I wouldn't be surprised if the notifications weren't coming thru.
It's not that I really hate you; it's that I'm almost insanely jealous at how well you didle with and shoot revolvers! When young, I considred myself a pretty good pistol shot -- single action at rocks and targets and double action for rolling cans -- but I never, ever, came anywhere close to what you do without fanfare or getting arrogant. WOW! and with the greatest kudos! Please keep up this wonderful stuff.
I hoped everyone got my low-brow humor in the jealousy remark but apparently you took me seriously. With pistoleers of my day, jealousy wasn't actually often encountered -- on a fun day anyone in the crowd could beat anyone. I absoluely agree regarding blessings from the Great God. @@redfaux74
THanks so much for the kind words! I do struggle sometimes with my shooting, I have bad days like anyone else. Those days I'm not so inspired to get the video equipment out and make videos if you know what I mean! LOL! but it's all fun, I truly enjoy that I get to do this and hearing feedback from folks like you makes it all the more worthwhile!
2 things I really enjoyed in this video. 1. The brick shaped red dust cloud that hung in the air for a few moments after the impact. 2. The clear and excellently done Picture in Picture with the target during the accuracy check. Keep up the good work, it is appreciated.
My first revolver is a Taurus 66 in satin stainless steel. I am madly in love with that gun. 4" barrel allows me to carry it and otherwise, it shoots very smooth and I feel I'm in control hitting where I am aiming. Did you ever publish a video how keep your gun nice and shiny after usage? I got the lead remover towel and stainless steel cleaner but you might have a trick or two up your sleeve😊
I bought the 3 inch RP63 with the sniper green Cerakote finish. Excellent DA and SA trigger, good impact to point of aim, absolutely love it. Thanks for the video.
I was looking at different options for a 357 revolver purchase. I own A couple of model 92 rossi rifles and I am very happy with them. I came across this Rossi hand gun review of yours and I was very impressed and ended up purchasing this hand gun. I looked at your other video's and enjoy them immensely. Keep up the good work. Thanks
I am watching this with my early morning cup of coffee and thinking this is a precursor to what it is like every morning if I make it to heaven. I am headed to my local gun store this morning to pick up my own RM 66, loading ammo this afternoon and shooting tomorrow morning. Thank you sir.
Your videos are always useful and refreshing: no shouting like a hyper-excited football TV commentator; no arm waving or talking too fast to understand; no flag waving or yelling "YOWLLL" every sentence; just peaceful and useful exposition like a next-door neighbor. THANKS for being our neighbor!..............................elsullo
Very nice looking Revolver!! I own the two inch snub nose Rossi 357 in stainless steel. It’s an awesome back-up while provides enough fire power to take down whatever you’re firing at. By the way, excellent shooting at that distance. You’ve put in a lot of time. It shows!! Enjoyed the video!!🇺🇸
Put a Blunderbuss of all things in this man's hands and he could snipe a gnat's wing off in another country. The irony is that this is only a minor exaggeration. Buffalo is in my top 5 sharpshooters I've ever seen. Keep it up, pal. Glad you're back.
Love your videos, buffalo. I really do like when you show the actual fit and finish of a firearm. When im considering buying a new tool, your videos are in the handful i peruse before i make my purchase. Its ok if you forget sometimes, were all human. It usually goes to say there are different quality firearms that usually hold true to certain brands. A ruger, remington, or smith is going to be a better gun than a taurus, but not as good as a colt or a taylors. Love your videos buffalo, and that was a great opening clip, nice shot!
Nice review, Buffalo. When your video first started, I had no idea of exactly what caliber/model of gun you were firing. From the recoil, I at first thought you had a .44 mag. The lighter weight of the revolver and using PMC .357 ammo explains that. IMHO PMC ammo overall runs a bit on the hot side.
Great video as usual, Buffalo. Love the pace and relaxing nature of what you do. Other revolvers I can think of along the lines of this Rossi: Taurus Model 66, Weihrauch Windicator, Sarsilmaz SR 38, and Rock Island AL3.1. But sometimes...........I think I should just sell all the Rugers, S&W's, Tauruses, Rossis, etc. and buy one Manurhin MR73 or Korth Mongoose and be done with it. Hahaha
So it's basically a Taurus model 66, but with the "classic" Smith & Wesson features: 6-round cylinder, hammer-mounted firing pin, and NO internal lock. I love it. If I see one in carry size (4" barrel), I will definitely get it.
Hey I have to compliment you. The audio is perfect (like that you are using a wind screen on the mic) and video was spot on ! Thanks for the great work !
As the proud owner of a Rossi 971 it looks to me like its very similar if not the same. Id love to get my hands on any of the new rossi revolvers. Definitely on my short list of new purchases coming up.
Taurus has been given a lot of grief over the years and I am sure it’s deserved. I have experienced it myself. But they have produced some very good performing guns among some duds. I happened upon an excellent blue 6” vent rib model 689 357 with adjustable sights about 20 years ago. I landed it for $255. It’s been the most accurate centerfire handgun I’ve ever owned. 1” groups at 25 yards and a 100 yard group that could have been covered with a coffee can. It lives with my daughter now, she doesn’t like autoloaders. Supposedly their QC has been improved. I hope that’s true but time will tell.
My 686 had some stretch in the top strap. I'm concerned that the Rossi would be more prone to that. Stretch or no, I'm sorry I sold that 686. S&W knows how to set up a wheelgun trigger. Rossi, by your numbers, seems a touch heavy. Thanks, Buff, for another fine video.
Suggestion, Buffalo...when you check the lockup on any revolver, pull the trigger, allow the hammer to fall and hold the trigger back...as it would be at the moment of firing. This will have the cylinder "hand" pressing the cylinder against the locking bolt and providing the most secure lock-up.
I think I may get one. I've been wanting another 357 double action ever since I got rid of my GP100. I like this one and will be on the lookout for one locally. Great video.
Im a taurus fan , I always wanted a rossi but never got one. Taurus may have kept the name alive but they didnt keep the low prices alive. O , Im thinking back 40 years ago when you could get a rossi or taurus 357 for 150$ . I paid 145 for my taurus 357, 170 for the 9mm and 170 for the 40 cal, I miss those days.
Great review. Yes, looks like a clone of the old R972, except for the bead blasted finish. Right down to the somewhat disproportionate looking grip, which is only an appearance thing. Glad they brought it back and especially without the key lock. Here's hoping it's a trial balloon for S&W to do away with that nonsense. Love the hammer-mounted firing pin. Maybe now someone will make nice looking wood grips for it, which will also fit the ole R972. Great revolvers for the money. My only beef with Rossi/Braztech/Taurus is the almost non-existent tech support, at least my experience was totally off-putting a few years ago. You are an awesome shooter, Buffalo!
I have an older Rossi M971 .357 with the 3” barrel and factory brake. I hesitate to call it “ported”. It a true Rossi before the Taurus purchase and it is a fantastic, underrated revolver! Although I HATE the brake after accidentally shooting it without ear pro and realized I do NOT want to have to shoot this thing indoors or in the confines of an automobile! I love shooting it as long as I’m wearing ear pro! I’ve had the opportunity to have the brake cut off but haven’t because that’s what makes it what it is and if I ever sell it I it would lose its value. It’s apparently rare, tho it is “only” a Rossi. Oh! And it is a DREAL to shoot .38 Special!
Thanks again for another video.... Much appreciated,,,, from long time fan in Auburn Hills, Michigan,,,, to the "Bob Ross of the Gun Tubers"... :) Pastor Buddy
If I wanted something half way between .357 and .45, I'm a bit of a sucker for underdogs or less common stuff. I'd skip right over the .44 magnum and instead grab a .41 magnum.
Rossi is still very much out there, primarily with lever action rifles. The Rossi 92 and Rio Bravo are still quite common. The Model 92 is quite common for cowboy action shooting, particularly with those shooting more for fun... and those who know they're not going to be able to sound like a General Electric Minigun when shooting a single action revolver or lever rifle.
This is the 1st Buffalo Outdoors video notification that i have received in a long time.
It’s been a couple weeks since my last upload. Glad to hear they are sending out notifications for it! Thanks.

It's good to have you back and you haven't lost your touch.
What an absolute great presentation. Slow, precise, great graphics, damn good.

Great video

I agree
I hope that rossi will be making more models. I appreciate the look of a Smith, at a taurus price.
I love that it has the hammer firing pin, 34 ounces is very light for a 6 inch steel revolver.
I like that too. It kinda sets it apart from the crowd.
This looks more attractive to me than the current production s&w 686 i love the old ones but they can keep all the new ones key holes and all

Thanks for your honesty, sir!
From my perspective, you are quite the shooter and Rossi has a very formidable little revolver.
God bless my friend.
Glad to see Rossi back and Buffalo too
I like that Mrs Buffalo set him up a lane in the flower patch.
Wow! Inexpensive copy of a S&W m-66! Makes the new Henry look like a grown up RG starter pistol
Love both of my Rossi revolvers!
WOW!!!
Just in the nick of time. I was having really bad Buffalo withdrawal.
Really good looking wheeler buddy.
Thanks for not forgetting revolvers, Buffalo! Great video! 👍👍
Good to see you back at it...
Thanks for reviewing I’ve really been looking hard at this!
I have an RP63 3" and I absolutely love it!! Great video, thank you Buffalo!

Always had a thing for beautiful Rossi wheel guns! This new generation of them has done nothing to douse that flame. Great video
Another great video! Thanks Buffalo!
Good looking gun Buff.
I saw the hammer mounted firing pin and was like sold! That’s awesome.
Che arma!! Bellissima!!
Nice looking revolver.
Thanks Kent!

I could give one RUclips example of most of those other traits. Hahaha
Thanks for bringing us along nice revolver.
Nice pistol, looks well made. Good showing, nice to see you back.
Great gun for the money and I am a.357 guy, thanks.
Thank you Buffalo, great job
Great video! I currently carry a 4" S&W Model 64 concealed, and have a sizable revolver collection. You definitely got me looking at the Rossi!
Great video brother! Happy to see you back on here!
God bless all here.
Nice Rossi revolver, thanks for the video.
You’re welcome and thank you for watching!
Brother, you make shooting accurately look so easy. Great video.

Rossi does good work. I bought a 92 a couple weeks ago in 45 Colt. Just a great light little rifle.

A revolver without gutter sights. Now they just need to add a fiber optic front sight. Looking forward to their 22LR version.
thanks for the video, I think I'm sold on it

I've been wanting the 3in, 6 shots of 357mag is plenty for me
Excellent review as always Buff. Everything we need to know, and no BS. And as with every review, awesome shooting, I wish ......

That looks almost identical to the Rossi 357 magnum revolver I had 25 years ago but the old one had a smooth cylinder and a brighter stainless finish.

The value of the dollar dropped by almost half in the last few years.
40 years ago, a python would have been like $350
Great video! Rossi always makes great revolvers.
I had an older Rossi and the firing pin broke, it was used and the timing was off but I loved that revolver.
Super nice shooting. Super nice review. God bless. Happy trails
Excellent shot.
Confirmed! At first glance all I could think of was Taurus must be making these. Sure enough. Not a bad deal at $485.
Thanks man! I couldn’t pass it up.
the cut out or scalloped left side of the grip is to facilitate better speed loader usage.
nice looking revolver
Thanks Buffalo!
Great budget wheel gun as love your detailed info and of course your shooting is always stellar....Good stuff...
Thanks for the review! Seems like a nice gun for less than $500!
Very nice ! Going to pickup wife bday present in a couple of days , a Taurus 692 3".
Nice! I'm going to check other barrel length options.
Thanks for sharing.
I want one! 😁 Great video and presentation! Enjoy your work brother.

So Rossi is getting better at their production and performance. Good News
Good seeing you again. Great shooting, and the Rossi looks like a good deal.
