Insurance in florida takes everything and pay nothing
Same in TX.
That's because they cannot drive in Florida I've never been so scared to drive in my life and I drive a Transit bus for a living so now I actually had to get a rental in Florida for a few days ohmygod I just knew somebody was going to hit me😂
Ins is going up nationwide. Its all planned destruction.
@@Kazeshini6 same in CA and now theyre all going to az and tx.
Insurance period in FL. Home insurance is through the roof - 7k a year for a beat up house in the stix, let alone something nice. And that's not even covering medical costs. FL has some of the most expensive medicine in the US. I actually visit relatives out in other parts of the US for anything that's not an ER visit. The airfair + out of pocket is half of what I'd be charged in FL.
With Florida you get beaches, with Texas you get mud flats
Texas has a ton of beaches believe it or not
Mud flats with tar in them. Galveston Beach is garbage lol
@@robertn.4329 Galveston isn’t the only beach in Texas.
@@robertn.4329 and Florida has dirty ass beaches and swamps, If you want a Texas beach try port Aransas or courpus Christi
@tylerzuniga2231 I don't think I've been to Miami is it bad right now or nah?
Property Tax More like 6-7K in Texas.
Live in big city you get big taxes.
Same in Florida. It’s based on purchase price. If you buy a $500k home taxes are closer to $12,000 not $2000. I bought my house in 2015 for $238k and my taxes are $4k. You can look up any house on the county property appraisers website and most have a purchase price calculator.
That is still quite low, I pay 15k in NJ.
As a native Floridian it sucks here don't move here
Better then texas
Not everyone has the same opinion as I LOVE Florida as I can’t wait to soon to Miami 🌴🇺🇸🇵🇷🇮🇹🇯🇲🌴

Yeah, what neighborhood?
I bought a 3 bed 1 bath in Kentucky just south of cincinatti and my mortgage every month was about $1250 only putting 5% down and it wasn’t in bad shape or a bad neighborhood. The whole country isn’t like your town

You can find 2 beds here for 900-1000 a month.
Very subjective. You live in south Florida, it’s going to cost you. Live in the panhandle, not as bad. Property taxes crush you in TX more so than FL. Both have zero state income tax which is a plus.
Property taxes are higher in Texas, but the homes are also larger and cheaper than in Florida. So when including the mortgage and insurance payments along with property taxes, it would still be cheaper to buy a home in Texas.
TEXAS IS A HORRIBLE STATE.

Dont try to live beyobd your means in fancy highend areas. Most decent 1bdrms in OR in a decent safe area are 1300-1400/mo. Tx getting worse because CA all moving to tx with their politics, crime, traffic. Its similar in FL but not half as bad as tx.
57,703 salary in Florida ? 1676 2/2 apartment ? Where? Not in Miami 😅
I am moving out of Florida after 12 years 🤷🏻♀️
Fr, im 11 generations and cant afford to live here
Average net worth is 600,000? What? Where did you get that data
Where, indeed. Based on a 2019 survey by the Fed, the mean/median for each state is:
FL: $410,000/$95,770
TX: $340,000/$90,390
The overwhelming majority of people have a negative net worth. So pretty much retired people with their homes paid off or multi-millionaires.
When you factor all the homeless into the numbers, how could it be that high?

You’re right in rent. Here in Florida, a crappy, falling apart apartment can go for 1k a month.
1k???
We haven’t had rents as low as 1k in palm beach county in years
$1800 in miami for a "studio" of you get lucky ( in a bad neighborhood of course, on Brickell its atleast $2500 for a studio easy)
$1700 Panama City beach it’s crazy
$1000 rent for an one bedroom apartment?
That’s a great one. Try California where one bedroom apartment is 2-3 times more.
As a Floridian, go to Texas and I don’t mean this a “FlOrIdA iS fULl” thing. We get hurricanes all the time. Just now, we’re getting one sometime this week. This may or may not mean that your employer has to shut down for the whole week. If you get flooded, you’re not leaving your house for 3 days. If you’re employer is decent, they’ll pay you to sit at home, if not, your out of a paycheck for a week or two. Seriously, I know TX has its issues, but it’s definitely a better move.
Texas has tornadoes and flash floods. Also straight line winds that can knock over buildings. Droughts the last months. Really crappy traffic. People are mean. Florida has better everything.
man i really wanna make a move michigan has never looked like such a dead end
Michigan is a prison state.
Yeah me too bro. I’m considering to leave Michigan for Phoenix AZ
Stay out west. The south is packed and getting more packed. The North just sucks unless you’re a nerd. The West has land, space, honest work and God still roams.
Same, I'm from Minnesota, sucks here
I live in a nice area in Northwest San Antonio Texas and I live in a big one bedroom with a washer dryer hook up with two balconies we have a pool we have a gym it's back up off the road so it's like a little oasis in here and I pay $867 a month before utilities
In which city?
See Texas is cheaper Florida you would have to pay 4 times that
Smart choice in these odd times.
Florida rents are going up while wages stay low ! Unless you plan to buy a house cash or have several roommates it ain’t gonna work !
That’s 90% of the country at this point. Even my small home town has rent as high as $1200, pre- covid I paid $730 for the same place. And trust me, wages have not climbed more than $2-3 since then if that.
2 bedroom apartment by me is anywhere between 2k and $3,400 a month in Orlando. 😂 Florida has become overcrowded in the past 5-10 years so traffic is so bad it takes 30 minutes minimum to go a few miles up the street.
You talking about traffic I live in the Philippines soon to go back to the USA in a few months, traffic here is pure hell, I grew up in New York City and the Philippines hands down is the worst. No traffic laws everyone brakes the law, go 2 kilometers it will take almost 1 hour, even thoug its cheap here but 99.9% of all products are imported from China who dumps their cheap products here.
It’s the tourist and I hate them

In Florida, you probably going to need both hurricane AND Florida man insurance.
Definitely. I keep telling people to come up with a convincing lie about being from a different part of FL when you meet your new neighbors. They *will* slash your tires and break your windows in an attempt to make you leave.

What income tax are you taxing if both states have no state income tax?
While both Texas and Florida do not have a state income tax, you still have to pay federal income tax.
Compare the minimum wage to each state. Florida wins
@@user-hm1zb8js5i federal tax is the same and has nothing to do with the state so why factor it in when comparing states
Federal.

Don’t base Everything on money, money doesn’t mean shit
Straight to the point
you need to calculate the amount of breads you can buy and how much you pay for the size of housing, to actually get a decent comparison
As a Floridian, I've been to both Huston and Dallas multiple times. I must say, i was not impressed. Big, dull, corporate wastelands. I hear San Antonio and Austin have more personality.
All you talk about is money! What about sea level rise? Flood insurance? Gun violence?
Really cut and dry isn't it. When medians mean the world to you, you might be out of your depth. There's 10000 more things involved when moving
The problem with Florida and South Florida specifically is that the prices in 2024 and beyond are going the way of NY and California! With that said, the days of Florida being a cheap paradise is over! Texas is getting expensive in the major cities but nothing like Miami. What this tells you is that it’s cheaper to live in Texas and visit Florida for the majority of people!
The other video just stated the rent in Florida was less then 1600 and California was 1650 what’s going on?
There have to be better places to live. Florida has DeSantis and Texas has Abbot. You lose either way
