@@Brainflayer that entire idea makes it at least twice as funny. Athens realizes Theseus is a massive piece of shit who (apparently in some versions) got pushed off a cliff in a civilian revolt, falling to his death just like his old man, who he totally kinda accidentally killed by being stupid, but still someone thinks, “you know? Im curious if he somehow found out she was using him, because she helped imediatly when she saw him, and most say its due to love but she has such a fucked up family i wouldnt be suprised she wanted to escape imediatly. Sisyphus then dies again, but has his wife not perform the proper burial rites. Sisyphus convinces hades to let him go aboveground to tell her what to do with the promise that he'll come right back. A promise he immediately breaks.
Hades wants to send thanatos to go kill sisyphus, but Thanatos is scared of sisyphus after what happened last time, so sisyphus gets to live a long life.

one wonders why they didnt smite him themselves and made Hades do the dirty work this time, maybe they tried including him in their god business or something for a change and Hades might have been bored and not too much of a sore-ass that day (probably because on this legend persephone was with him so he was more meekly maybe)

Isn’t Ariadne Dionysus wife? And I find it ironic that the most faithful and devoted husbands among Greek gods aren’t the ones you would think first (Hades/Persephone with hades being god of the dead, Eros/Psyche with Eros being a god of lust and Dionysus/Ariadne with Dio being the god of wine). You would think first would be too busy in his work, second would chase women around and third being an abusive drunk yet here we are

Still love Sisyphus in this game. He's all friendly, but then hits with the "I never was terribly fearful of you gods" and you realise that even though he helps you out and is very polite that he really is no pushover. Especially since he trapped the god of death by essentially being the bugs bunny of the era (he tricked Thanatos into putting on manacles and then locked him in a closet).

So Aphrodite is cheating on Hephaestos with Ares
and Ares is now going out with Nyx
truly some of the shittiest members of the pantheon
    Though there's
hera: kills, curses or enslaves a good deal of the women zeus elopes with (or forces himself onto) as well as their heirs
zeus: womanizer who can't take responsibility for his triggered wife + r-ped his sister (and more)
    hephaestos: tried to r-pe athena
athena: made medusa so ugly she kills people because she and poseidon boinked in her temple, then had a hero go out and kill her and then mounted her head on her shield, plus she turned Arachne into the first spider because athena wasn't as good at weaving
    so that's some fierce competition

    • @kaihiwatari5476

Actually Athena and Arachne were equals in weaving, the reason Athena punished her was the fact she called out she was better and this was hybris.

@@KleptomaniacJames If you consider this abuse of power, you forget poor Teresia and she did what she did by accident. Keep in mind that himbris was actually a sin in ancient greece so theorically, Athena's action of turning Aracne to a spider was covered. Yet again she blinded Teresia by panic and in ancient greek when a god punishes someone, the punish cannot be lifted (that's why Prometheus had to carry a ring with the stone he was tied after Hercules released him) As for the dna comment. Not, it doesn't but it happens for me to study the myths of my country. So yeah I probably have the actual sources in my shcool and staff? Regardless, fighting over how shitty the greek gods were is pointless, they were shit either way.
