I got a call today. Gave me the option of replacement or refund. I took replacement. New tire already on its way and will be here Friday. They also are sending me a $100 Visa card to help with mounting costs. All of that was them being proactive. Over and beyond in my opinion. Very well handled.
This is awesome! Thank you for the feedback!
I bought the Two Track based on Kyle's recommendation and the rear tire was affected. Rocky Mountain contacted me and said new tire would be sent to me and they are mailing a cheque for$100 for the inconvenience/mounting of defective tire. I have been VERY impressed with the service from Rocky MTN. The communication and the way this has been handled has been fantastic.
Great news!
I hope the kids take over your channel someday and become amazing riders and staples of our community! :)
Maybe one day...
I will continue to do business with RMATVMC. Every TUSK item I have bought has always been a great value. Saved me lots of money and made ADV riding more affordable for myself and so many other riders.
The TUSK panniers and rack are tough as hell. Saved me hundreds of dollars.
The MSR Xplorer gear is amazing quality. Saved me hundreds of dollars.
The TUSK 2Track have been a great set of tires for me. Saved me hundreds of dollars.
I’m not going to complain about a possible defect on a set of tires that were damn near free. I’d be surprised if RM made a profit from the 2Track at $210/set.
I appreciate the heads up from RM. They were honest when they could’ve been dishonest.
I have faith they will right any wrongs.
Resolving this whole situation will take time, just like everything else in life.
At $130 per tire multiplied by 900 tires, my math says this is potentially a minimum of a $117,000 problem. I can understand not immediately jumping to refund that amount of money for a situation they don’t yet fully understand.
This is my perspective.

While l do feel certain that Rocky Mountain is a good business and am not surprised that they got in front of this do not underestimate the liability exposure of tires. It can be financially destructive to a corporation and is largely responsible for Firestone tires ceasing to exist as an independent brand. They are now a division of Bridgestone. With that being said over the years l have met in person many of the people at Rocky Mountain from the owner on down. They are good people love motorcycles and like a lot of people in this business they want to win.
@@othgmark1 I agree with you. There is a lot of liability in manufacturing tires. Firestone’s downfall is the proof.
I was frustrated when I posted my first comment. I just wanted to say something positive about RM after reading so many negative things being written about them.
Rocky Mountain is a fantastic company! I have had tires from 5 of the big names fail over the 40+ years of riding I have done on-road. Many new tires need rework... Good people with a great brand. Looks like they have it figured out. I am stoked for them and will run the 2 Track in the future too!
Hey Kyle, I have a set of these with a couple thousand miles on them. I inspect my tires before every ride. Do you know any signs that I could look for if they start to separate. Also do you know about the mileage that they start to separate. I really like these tires and want to run them tell they come apart. Lol. Thanks!!!
Ha! Ha! Lugs fly off, but nobody that I know of has "lost pressure" while riding. Two I know of lost knobs early, the others were several thousand miles in.... nobody noticed an issue until the lugs were "gone." Happy riding.

Good luck! You've been entered!
Thanks for the information Kyle.
Any manufacturer can have a bad run of product. My Motoz Adventure was delaminating in 2023, my Motoz GPS I replaced it with was rock solid. You just neve know.
I hope RMATV decides to refund folks. Waiting for a replacement tire is not a good option. It's riding season! - Frank
Yes, it can happen with any manufacturer. I have personally had issues with 5 top manufactures in the 40 years of on-road riding I have done. Now it seems RMATV is offering a refund or a replacement +$100 for mounting. Good on them! I love this!
Too you long enough to name the on air talent. The Bradshaw Inc. Staff may need to unionize! - Frank
Oh the staff... getting hungrier by the day!

What are your thoughts on running a 140/80/18 Tenere 700 rear? Stock size is 150/70/18… yes I’m a penny pincher 😂
It'll work great but will wear out in 1/2 the time of the 150. There is a big difference in the construction and width! Check this out: Motoz Tractionator RallZ Adventure Tire Review - Same Size Different Tires? Tube vs. Tubeless

@@manybikes thanks! I’ll check it out
Awesome!
Is this recall only affecting rear tires???
Yes, not manufactured properly.
Glad i bought the Motoz
Overall the Motoz is a better tire. 2x the cost, but a better tire all the way around.
Great video, kyle. Thank you.
My pleasure!
I may have missed it but is the Waypoint tubeless and does it come in 150/70-18 that the 2Track comes in? I’d like to give them a shot on my 1090 at some point. Tusk and Rocky Mtn ATV has always been high value stuff and they’ll continue to be my go-to vendor when possible for online buys.
Never mind. I looked it up and the answer is no to both lol. Looks like a good tire for a smaller bike though.
The 130 is the only size at the moment. I do hear that bigger ADV sizes are in the works!
My rear tire is one of them that are recalled. I called RM ATVMC on 4/30/24 and requested a refund for the price of the set of tires and the money I spent for a shop to mount & balance them. My front 2Track has a hop to it around 50 mph & up. They sent an email saying they aren’t offering anything until the NHTSA approves their remedy (which I assume is to replace the tires). I don’t trust the cheaply made tires made in China. To me, this proves low quality control. RM ATVMC could not give me an estimated timeframe. I told them that I would’ve ordered a different set of tires from them if they agreed to refund my money. They didn’t care. I’ve spent thousands at RM ATVMC and they lost me as a customer. I’m getting a set of tires from a local dealer instead. Lesson learned….you get what you pay for. Btw I bought these tires based on the good reviews I saw.
Same exact experience. They promised to call me back with an answer to my request for credit towards a different rear since I have a trip next week. Well, they never called and I am over it. Ordered a Motoz ADV and will wait for the refund.
@@fuscavw1 I’ve always had good customer service from them, but I think they are in over their head with up to 900 bad tires. The person I spoke to said they’ve been getting calls nonstop. You’d think they’d be interested in selling me a new tire & issuing a refund, but seems like they don’t really care. I only have 163 miles on this set of tires. Sucks to deal with it. Safe travels with your new tire!
I called an talked with them and was told that they are not going to do anything until the new tire is approved. That could be a while!!! I want you guys to have at least a break of a new quality replacement... and thus this video. Good luck with your resolution.
@@manybikes thanks Kyle!
IMO you're overreacting, sh!t can happen anywhere. I had knobs coming off MotoZ, and had bulges on them too.
I enjoy your channel and appreciate your no nonsense reviews and expert perspective on tires.
I ride an Aprilia Tuareg 660 for the last two years. The stock Pirelli Scorpion STRs were great on the street, but I needed more offroad traction. I installed a set of Heidenau K60 Rangers and was pleased with pavement performance they were much better offroad. However, the front would leak a couple psi per day sitting, and every hour while riding. Soapy water showed the bead was leaking.
I had to replace the front tire after an unrepairable flat, and tried the Tusk 2track adventure. Better offroad traction, but doesn't want to track straight in the sand for me. This tire leaks 2 psi per day whether riding or not. It's the bead again!
Valve stem is good. Only the bead leaks. I've mounted and remounted, cleaned and used tire soap. I see no obvious issues with the rim or tire bead. Any sage advise or anything else I can check?
The Tuareg forum mentions some front tire bead leaking with a couple of Motoz dual ventures, but nothing consistent.
Yes, both the KTM Tubeless and Tuareg wheels are prone to leaking. Some tire brands are better than others... but airing up daily is the most common fix. Frustrating for an expensive tubeless wheel, but the tolerances are just too great for both the bike manufacturer and the tire manufacturer. I would suggest the New Mitas XT+ as it has brand new molds and tighter beads overall from what I have experienced. I have had several people with the 2 Track beads leaking. I think it is because they are so stiff they are not confirming like they should. Rest assured you are not alone.
I also have a 2022 Tuareg. The last set of tires I ran were the MOTOZ Tractionator GPS, front & rear. The front lost about 5 psi per week. The rear 0-1. I also read that the dual venture would leak a lot, so I steered clear of that tire. Might be something with the rim? But the stock Pirelli tires held air rather well.
@manybikes thanks for the info. I've considered using something like Ride On tire sealant, but I'm not sure that would work on the bead just due to location.
How does the new Waypoint front look compared to the 2 track adventure for stiffness and pavement vs offroad qualities? Is the Mitas XT plus more similar offroad to the 2 track adventure or my old K60 Ranger?
The WayPoint is a softer more flexible tire that is 70% Off Road. We will see how it handles... The XT+ is right in between the 2 Track and the K60 Ranger.
