I’ve been in the medical field for 20+ years. Three years ago my wife and I went to barber school and opened our shop on Route 66! I was 40 years old at the time. We now take photos as well and though we don’t get paid yet for that, the local HS yearbook uses our sports photos (with permission) and we are getting inquires for paid work! Never too old to start something new!

I was 48 when I got back into photography and started creating portraits. It's been an interesting and educational 12 years.

Im 49 and am feeling that maybe I was too old for this industry, but have been doing it professionally for three years and am enjoying the process of learning. Good to find a like minded youtube channel.

What a nice video. As I am indeed a photographer in my mid 50s. Plus having been a serious visual artist since the 1980s. This is pretty spot on advice. Learning/doing oil painting and photography for decades is pretty awesome 👍

Thank you. I needed to see this. I picked up my camera a couple years ago after not having one since my film camera died in the early ‘90s. After dusting off the cobwebs I cannot get enough. Developed a growing portrait/landscape/fine art photography side gig. 👍🏼

Thank You for this Video Mr Verosky. In My 80's as You know, a late bloomer in Portrait Photography. While I don't take images as a Professional, I enjoy taking images of Family & Friends. Learning is one of the things that has big attraction to me. I get a lot of satisfaction in learning, looking at images in the past Vs current ones, and seeing that in fact I have improved. And often have been told some of My Portrait images appear taken by a Professional Photographer. You Video's have been a large part of my learning, has given me the confidence to invest in a home studio, and equipment. I encourage others to view your Video's, Purchase Your teaching Video's, etc. Thank You for your contribution to Photography, and personally to my improvements & enjoyment there of.
