I think it was The Stop that did a piece on ish supposedly saying that the JBP was more silly when Rory and Mal was there and that's what's missing in my opinion. I get that yall (rory n mal, jbp) wanna discuss music and things going on in the world but it was the stories, jokes, chemistry, random questions and conversations that made me watch Joe Budden's podcast when Mal first came on and Marissa was there. All of this podcast "beef" shit is tired and corny. Get back to entertaining your fans. This goes for both podcasts. Even Million Dollarz Worth of Game went guest-based and i know they wanna do different things but even them, in my opinion, aren't as interesting anymore bc the entertainment isn't there. My opinions. Nobody has to agree.

I understand what Rory was saying when he was speaking on the interviews. What happens when everyone is interviewed? Only thing left is covering current events and covering what other podcasters are saying about current events. That's when the beefs start. I think a possible solution is doing more vlog based content. I know everybody doesn't want to reveal their personal lives all the time, but it's good original content. Someone in the comments mentioned what made jbp were the stories and jokes about the outings of the members. Pod was always better when it was personal imo.

I completely agree with Rory's take on podcasting since Tax was incarcerated and since Combat passed it just got watered down. A lot of it is due to the Podcast Industry becoming so commercial.
I totally disagree with what Rory is saying about Combat Jack! He would say BS just to be in headlines. That is one of the reasons he made podcasts so popular because you can get on your podcast and say anything and the FCC wouldn’t fine you like they do in radio! Seems to me like all the people that knew Tax even sort of personally are unable to admit that somewhere along the way from using his rising platform to antagonize some rapper he ain’t like to pulling up at a venue said rapper was performing at strapped up, Tax played himself.
The issue is that all the best podcasts break up and end up beefing with each other, or they lose what made them special. This has left the door wide open for trashcasters like Fresh and Fit and all the other bottom of the barrel Podcasts to flourish.
The JBP, Bad Friends, Brilliant Idiots, Whorible Decisions, Flagrant 2, Burr and Bert, shit even Opie and Anthony all ended or lost what made them special.
