In high school my friend owned a big old 71 Mustang. We used to sit in the parking lot during lunch and listen to Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. I remember that car being so immensely huge on the inside but the rear window was almost impossible to see anything out of (his had louvers). Such a sweet car though! Miss those days.

Same here. my buddy had a 70 Mustang Mach 1 in high school and I had 70 Dodge Challenger R/T. Great times un both those cars.

Before standardisation of testing manufacturers used to quote horsepower with the engine running on a bench with no auxiliaries and a total loss water system. I wouldn't be surprised of it never made the quoted power output.

Under-reporting horsepower for insurance reasons was pretty common with muscle cars. GM in particular had an internal prohibition against more than one advertised horsepower for every ten pounds of curb weight except for the Corvette. There are quite a few late 60's Chevrolets, Pontiacs, and Oldsmobiles with suspiciously low advertised horsepower.

we're talking about a 52 year old straight line car..... pretty sure camaros, a cheap muscle car out performs any mclaren on a circuit.

I did the same suspension set up 15 years ago. 1” lower 600lb coils, a larger sway bar. The front end stop rising up when going on the freeway round about. Would going to a coil over setup improve it that much more? Looking at Chris Alston’s coil over and quad link rear suspension

Way to miss an opportunity to educate your viewers on how IMPORTANT it is to pay attention to #1 positioning on both the distributor and the timing mark. Which will save a lot of headache when dropping in the new distributor ! Yes Clevelands love timing, but you also failed to mention that you can destroy an engine with too much timing and low grade fuel !
