Nice truck! Take good care of yourself---and I am so very sorry over the loss of your dog. It's a death in the family and it takes a long time to heal from it.
It’s really important in life to do what you’re passionate about and to follow your heart. If you do that you won’t go wrong. You do a fantastic job producing very informative and interesting content. Thank you for sharing your heart felt story about your beautiful dog.Take care😊
So sorry about the loss of your wonderful dog. Losing a beloved dog is a really heartbreaking experience to go through. Sending you positive thoughts and prayers❤
8309 is a 13 yr old fantastic gelding I hope gets a great home thanks to all who are able to train and give them forever homes the mustang needs to be protected in the wild also I agree 💯
Bless you dear. ❤. Loss of our amazing pets is sooo hard. Cried watching your video. Ironically, I was taking a break from outdoor chores yesterday and just had melt down over the loss of my mare who I had fo 20 + years. She died about a year or so ago. Told my husband that I don’t know if I could ever find another. 🥲. I guess what brought it on was we got another buckskin filly (my favorite) a while back and she is nothing like my brandy. Stinky face all the way, dominant type, and we just aren’t gelling. I miss her so. From the time I got her as a baby till she died she was a love bug all the way. 🙏 for you during this loss. ❤
Spring in VT, so pretty! Nice to see you experienced the Solar Eclipse there, and maybe you also got to see the recent Northern Lights Solar Storm? Hope you & the horses enjoy life anew. So sorry again about Scotty. Our pets are important b/c they're w/us through good times and bad, why it's hard to express the feelings b/c they're very personal to us. All four of mine were soul dogs, but the one in photo is special for having been the companion to the other three. W/all of them, I dedicated songs, posted photos, and wrote memorial tributes to each, even if I'm the only one who looks at these. From my time in animal rescue, photos and story always help, even if we don't know the history. Personally, I don't need to know, but just showing their personalities, it seems a matter of compassion, empathy, and respect. Anyway, congrats on the f250, and I hope it's rust-free underneath? In any case, it will be a good hay bale hauler and work truck for as long as needed. Thanks for giving us a video update in whatever time you have. There's no schedule for this, but it's nice to know the people I follow are doing okay. Hi to Nathan... and Jaeger as well.😅🐴🌅
Hi Britta, im a new subscriber from the UK 🇬🇧 , iv just caught up watching all your vlogs and iv thoroughly enjoyed them, for anyone who loves horses they are really educational. Obviously we dont have Mustangs here but we still do have New Forest, Dartmoor, and Exmoor ponies running free but they are owned and managed. Your doing a fabulous job and im looking forward to more vlogs! Sorry to hear you've lost your little best friend, he was lovely!! ❤❤❤❤ xx
Thank you for subscribing and saying hi! I love hearing where people are from - I remember falling in love with a picture of a dartmoor in a horse book I had when I was a kid! Cool ponies!
Great check in! Except for the sad news about Scotty. 🥺I recall commenting on how much I like him. I started this next sentence to say I also lost the second of two dogs "recently," until I realized how long it's actually been. It just feels recent and I still miss my dogs everyday. Years later, I still have habits like looking behind my computer chair to make sure I don't run the wheels of the chair into them when I back away from my desk to get up. The memorial video is a good idea. One of my boys made one for my border collie, Murphy, who was my solo side kick for years before adopting our lab, Abbey. I've kind of taken up my comment space on the topic of Scotty when your check in was so much more than that. Glad to see you'll be moving hay in your new truck and so much more! The news about Scotty, though... I never know what to say that doesn't sound like a cliche condolence we hear too often to always sound sincere. That our dogs don't share our lifespan has never seemed fair to me. I'm genuinely sorry. A quote rather than a scripture my son placed at the end of Murphy's video was helpful and remains in my thoughts after such a loss. "One day, we will see our animals again in the eternity of Christ. Paradise is open to all of God's creatures." ~ Pope Paul VI
Ah yes, those little habits like looking for the dog can be painful reminders! I often think where Scotty would be if he was still here- riding shotgun, in his bed or on the couch, depending on where and what we were doing of course. He was quite the dog! I know so many people share the pain of similar experiences, that’s for sure!
Sorry for the loss of your buddy Scotty. I recently lost my dog Gemma, she was 16. Even though it is expected, its so sad and hard. You can't replace a beloved pet. But, I have loved all my dogs, so even though they are different, they are equally great!!
Appreciate your openness and self reflection. It helps others I think to hear you speak of the multiple real challenges you are dealing with- the short, medium, and long-term planning and dreaming. I also appreciate your sharing of nature and the horses. On a more logistical note, Is there a certain app or website you use to track multiple flight costs over time? BTW I love these less formal videos just as much as the others. Whenever you can, at least this one viewer enjoys your updates!
Thank you for that! And yes, I use google flights, which has been great and pulls up multiple airlines. I particularly love how when you plug in the destination and dates, you can track prices over the past 60 (maybe it is 90 days). You can also turn on a track prices feature , which will send you email notifications. Additionally, what I have done is made my page of tracked flights saved as a favorites tab so it’s easy to access and quickly see all the flights I am tracking. It’s quite helpful!
So understand about Scottie -who will forever be a huge part of you-I am crying for you right now as I have a dog I love so much =I get it-I think it is good to cry even if it is forever Deb
I’m so sorry about Scotty. It’s always hard when we lose a beloved family member. I know I’ll be a wreck when it is Legolas’ time. We just had a health scare with him recently.
So sorry for your loss. I know the loss of a pet can be very emotional. You can take comfort in knowing you gave Scottie a good life while he was here.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Congrats on your new truck and look forward to future videos.😊
Any of us who are animal lovers know how hard it is to lose your puppy/dog child. I had my last one for 11 years when she became unhealthy and I was the one that had to make the decision after the vets recommendation to put her down. THAT was the hardest thing I have ever done. It has been over a decade and STILL is a hard subject to talk about. It never really gets easier just more controllable. Good to see you back on the "tube" Stay strong!
Yes, horses get bounced around too much and the only ones who remember what they have been through is the horse. Then their next owner trips over a remembered trauma and risks being bounced again because of training issues.
Thank you sooo much for addressing the May 2024 blm online auction. Horses from Rock Springs wy holding facility are going in excess of $20 k. I'm a pessimist & thought it was a group trying to sabotage the sale of the horses. Or return them to the range or get any foals and return them to the origin herd. Crazy I know but so are the $ amounts being bid. Thanks for the explanation of them being the celebrities of the mustang world.
Yeah, that’s a good way to put it lol celebrity Mustangs.. But, yes there seems to be some weird stuff. like That yearling going up to $30,000, and then those bids being retracted and her dropping significantly in price. I don’t want to speculate too much, especially if I haven’t looked into it, but on the surface it definitely looks suspicious.
The director of the online auction has been deleting bidder’s accounts that are trying to raise the price of those mustangs. Subsequently, it deletes their bids. That’s why it’s dropped down. So thankful he’s doing that this time…👏
So sorry to hear about Scotty, Britta ❤ i could tell just from the pictures you shared that he was a perfect little farm dog The new truck is bery exciting! Those older fords are pretty tough ive heard! Im looking at getting a 2001 ranger, just gotta see if the price is right. I was hoping to see you at Annville but im sure Florida will be fun! My friend is bidding on a horse in this IA! A 2 yesr old gelding. I dont share the number until once the auction is closed, just a superstition i have. "Do not speak the name" and stuff like that.
He was perfect as a farm dog! Such good memories and experiences with him! And I’m thrilled about the truck. I’ve always wanted one and now having one it’s my pride and joy 😂 I hope you are able to get that ranger! Yea I was torn between the two locations, but ultimately didn’t feel up to driving to annville by myself. So Florida it was! I really hope to go to an annville one in the future and relive my first pick up! I hope you have fun there! And good luck to your friend!
Life is pretty good and I’m feeling quite optimistic! 😃 But I try to be open and share my struggles to encourage others who might also be choosing the harder path in order to chase a dream. I’d be better off working at McDonald’s than essentially working for free on RUclips. But that wouldn’t be fulfilling.😊 Quitting my former career path was the best thing I’ve done, as far as personal growth and development goes. I now think totally different and see opportunities I never saw before!
Nice truck! Take good care of yourself---and I am so very sorry over the loss of your dog. It's a death in the family and it takes a long time to heal from it.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your dog Scotty! It is tough losing them as they are part of the family. Good to see you have green grass and blossom ❤😊
