I voulenterr at Rising Starr Horse Rescue! So glad to see all of the horses. The mini you saw was Salem - a true sweetheart! Poppy is so sweet but very timid (as you know lol). Poseidon (cremello) is the absolute not gorgeous horse ever - and he got adopted! I love Rising Starr and all they do!
The hat is awesome----and the Southwest print sweatshirt looks perfect on you! You totally deserve to treat yourself. I was happy when you went back for that hat. I love the white horse, Poseidon, he was gorgeous. I have a weakness for white coated animals.
I was fortunate enough to attend Equine Affair here in Louisville, Ky many years ago when I was younger and was raising horses. I've never seen so many different breeds of horses. It was awesome!
The hat is YOU! I wish I could get away with wearing one, but I just don’t have the face for one. Every year my BFF and I went to Equine Affaire. We drove up to Springfield on Thursday afternoon so we could get a good night’s sleep and be up early on Friday morning. We stayed the entire weekend and came home on Monday afternoon. Unfortunately, my health has deteriorated and I’m stuck in a wheelchair full time. It was ok when I could walk and sit when I needed to, plus, we could hang all of our purchases on the chair. My friend, Flora Lee, was older than I and couldn’t easily push me comfortably around full time. We stopped going the year of Covid. I really miss going. I loved the clinics. Watching your video brought back so many memories of the years we went! We also went to two Mustang auctions when they were held at Cornell. Those were the only ones held close enough to us. They were a blast and SO tempting! Both of the mustangs we liked didn’t sell the day before and the wranglers told us we could get them for $25! I would have loved have done it, but my fencing wasn’t approved. I have Ramm Fence and it’s only 5’ tall. Also, I don’t have a round pen and I wouldn’t be able to properly train him without one. Thanks so much for posting your video. I’m looking forward to day 2! Oh! I loved Fantazia. It was amazing. I wonder if it’s a new program? Have fun!! 😊💖
The hat and sweatshirt look great on you! Good for you for buying something that is not necessary but that brings you joy. And glad to see you are able to feel joy again. That barn with the apartment above it would be a dream. I wish they'd posted the price but I'm sure it's up there if a rwo horse trailer was over $27,000. Like you, I rarely buy myself things unless the previous one has worn to the point of falling apart or indecency. And I usually get used unless it's not possible. Did me good to see you splurge a bit!
For some reason I thought Equine Affair was only out West. Super excited to know there's one here in New England too. I'll definitely have to go next year. Thanks for sharing. Love the hat! 😊
❤🎉😂 Oh Britta so good to hear from you and as an older person I can often see things before others -- i.e., wisdom lol. So when you first put that hat on I'm like "yelling", Britta you better buy that hat!!! It really lights up your already gorgeous face -- it looks BEAUTIFUL on you!!! Is it comfortable, wool, a certain brand name...?? I love it. If you wear that out I predict you'll get tons of compliments -- at least you would in down to earth Wisconsin. I can't speak for snooty New England... 🤣😀🤣 Thanks for a cool video, Ryan Rose is from Wisconsin, you can tell by how hard he worked those people yikes lol. Be safe. 🙂❤️🙏🐎🇺🇲
interesting about the 2nd clinician I have heard/experienced the exact opposite -- my trainer always instructs getting bend and having your horse respond to your bending aid as soon as you get on, and they actually release into the bend and this relaxes them. Bending is the number on way to relax your horse and supple. Bending is the key to suppling on the dressage scale.
Yea, it's just been taking me a long time. It was 5 weeks yesterday since he passed. I've gathered all the footage I have of him, reflected on my time with him/lessons learned from him, and tried to create a memorial video and talk about it...but it's been hard to do. I hit a wall each time I've tried. It's been over 5 weeks now since my last video and I know i need to get back to it. I thought maybe I'd find some momentum again doing something easy. Anyway, I still hope to do it for myself to remember him by...but yes, he passed 5 weeks ago due to colic. The vet came and he Initially had a good prognosis...but it rapidly got worse while the vet was there. It came down to emergency surgery which isnt' even guaranteed (~$10k) or euthanasia. It was so hard and I had essentially no time to think. i literally had just done his hooves just hours before. :(
I don't understand that over there they don't build horseboxes, a small truck changed to put 2 horses inside like you can see everywhere in europe. In europe are also big trucks for 4to 8 horses, with a kitchen, table, bed... you can see an example of a small horsebox on many channels, like this esme with almost 1M followers, or mathilde et sligo, they made a special video about their horsebox, and they have also bed and kitchen.. Also don't understand how people can buy saddles without a saddlefitter, because it's the most important thing to ride a horse, and a little mistake can cause damages to the horse. And you have to check a saddle at least each year, and with a young horse till every 3 months.😍
Hey! not related to this video but im spreading this to multiple channels that rescue/train horses. There is a mustang in the corral system currently and in two days the auction ends. He is a 5 or 6 year old palomino mustang and hes adorable The catch is... he only has one ear. hes been in the corrals for over a year and idek I dont want him in the wrong hands. If you are looking for another mustang PLEASE consider him!
Oh I know exactly which one you are referring to! I’d love to but am not yet in a position to adopt again, unless it was a client horse. I hope he ends up in a good place!!
The baby donkey you showed was sold to us! So excited to have him he is sweetest little thing ❤
Oh how fun!!! Thanks for sharing that- he is adorable!!

Hey I love that you take us thrift shopping with you that's how I met you at goodwill in Williston remember?
Oh hey!! Yes, I do!! haha if I remember correctly, it was 2 thrift stores that day as we were both thrift store hopping 😂
Good on you for buying the hat! Wear it everywhere because it suits you plus it give others to do the same and we need more hat wearers in the world.

Hi Britt, love your channel, but are you ever going to let us know what happened to Merlin? We love & miss him (from all the way from Australia). 😢
