Dave Draiman is the correct name of the artist, not Kennedy Myles. Sorry I was misinformed, thank you guys for the correction.

Looks to me as if you really appreciate good music.
I recommend that you also do a reaction video for Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe Barcelona.
You may also want to do one for Queen at Live Aid in 1985, as well as Queen who wants to live forever.
Paul Simon, the writer, said this song belongs to Disturbed because they depicted the words they were trying to convey...what an honor.
Great React! Felt a Religious Message in this rendition of this timeless song & lyrics. The Rage he expressed in the last verse reminded me of the Rage of Moses when he returned from the Mountain To to find his people paying homage to their man made idols.
David Draiman is a Christian. It's possible that has something to do with the 'Rage' your'e talking about. I know that's what I would do with that part. After all, we have replaced God with technology and pretty much everything else possible that could allow a relationship with Him. (And relationships with each other.)
If ever there was a voice that I would describe as angelic... and if ever there was a song that seemed like a sorrow-filled warning from on high when combined with that voice - this would be it

I've heard said the Simon and Garfunkle version was the warning of the breakdown of effective communication and Dusturbed's version was the outrage that no one listened. in that light they both are true and both appropriately made.
Paul Simon from Simon and Garfunkel commented on rhis version of the song. He apparently loved it. You know you've got something special when the originator loves the version you did which is quite different than theirs.

Did you get goosebumps? I did. I still do after listening to this song. I love both versions. I grew up listening to the original from Simon and Garfunkel. But when this one came out I fell in love with it all over again and more.
The reason I like this one better is because it has an epic feel to it. Like watching an EPIC movie that will be life-changing to many people. All the passion we need is in this song. It's uplifting even coming from a heavy metal band.
The original always made me want to sing along. THIS one motivates me to get off my butt and DO something.
Seeing this done live mad me cry. So emotional.
Be sure to watch their live performance on Conan. NOTE: that David Draiman was really sick for the Conan live performance and I heard he was not pleased with his performance, being the perfectionist that he is I can understand why he felt that way. However, the production as a whole was amazing and his performance was EXCEPTIONAL! I loved it. So POWERFUL and EMOTIONAL! Thanks, Diane

David Draiman was trained as a cantor. Very much an operatic training. Years and years of voice training. Went to Jewish schools both here in America and Israel. Has a very deep history. Disturbed has produced several albums. They most definitely are heavy metal. Some of it would be very disturbing to you.

Simon and Garfunkel. I believe Myles truly captured the essence of the song. The video creates the picture of war. And how words or the lack there of can do more damage than weapons of mass destruction.
David Draiman, not Myles Kennedy. David is the lead singer for Disturbed, Myles is the lead singer for Alter Bridge. Myles did joined David onstage a few times for this song, but what we've just seen is the official video and it's David Draiman singing.

@@elenadinu7576 Thank you for the correction. Myles is an underrated talent himself. Alterbridge was influenced by such a broad spectrum of artist before them, and you can hear many of them in their arrangements. Watch Over You is an amazing piece that touched me.

As good as this song is, it doesnt hold a candle to his live version on Conan Obrien.
After he did the Conan show, Paul Simon himself said this song now belongs to David. Its utterly stunning, especially when you consider he was so sick with the flu he had to sit the whole song for fear of passing out.
