The Vintage Model Co was formed to bring back balsa; by combining the old with the new, we produce kits that are beautifully designed, precision laser-cut, and thought-out. It’s affordable, easy to get into, and fantastic fun. We’re now the biggest flying models manufacturer in the UK.

Very good indeed!.This is a different world from over 55yrs ago when I had to use ‘tissue paste’ to adhere the tissue and wait till the next day before it was set, then shrinking the tissue first with water and when that had dried, then use a cellulose lacquer to get it taut. Things have certainly improved. Thank you!.
Nice to see you getting loose there, throwing that tape around! Smiles up :)
Excellent job 👍 thanks for the video
James: That looks pretty good.
**proceeds by throwing it on the table**
I'm thinking about building my first RC plane out of thin plywood and this, would this be good?
Balsa- Use mostly balsa until you get to the firewall/bulkhead for the motor
Excited to be receiving my balsa Baron that I pre-ordered!!
Thanks for showing your enthusiasm through preordering Caroline! We really hope you have a blast building and flying it.☺️ - James
@@vintagemodelco7936 When the Gov. allows ;) lol
@@vintagemodelco7936 I didn't know you were the person behind vmco, James :)
Btw I also bought a plane from you
I've covered foam planes with packaging tape but didn't thought it is possible with balsa planes, cool!
Good Job! I really like this chanel, because is the old school of airplanes model making . Greetings from Poland
I do enjoy your videos. Your quite brilliant. I'm going to get into planes and it seems my budget is dictating building 🤣.
The covering had me nervous I thought of tape. You confirmed it. Thank you 🛩🛩
Have you experimented with ripstop fabric. Glue the fabric with covergrip then you can heat shrink this material. Ripstop fabric is cheap to buy and comes in a host of colours and patterns.
He stopped making these kits altogether if I’m not mistaken
Bought my self some tape and a plane kit,i want to see if this is working
Sweet!
Great content - have to buy one before UK leaves EU ... cause then everything will get more complicated and expensive as hobbyking had learned and established a EU facility in the netherlands. I hate to pick up things from customs which takes over an hour and to pay additional customs and VAT then.
This summer I will buy an old balsa kit to start again 20 plus years later.
hey zomba komba.. good job
From Spain where can I buy this beautiful plane
What's the type of tape you're using?
Envían a todas partes del uno los modelos..Gracias..hasta Panamá
Now I don’t need to spend £13 on dope
