Thank you for the video. So glad something like this is available online.

This was so much fun to watch. I love that Paul would even do this. I love his guitars and I can't speak to tonewood but I can speak to the quality, comfort, and wonderful sound that I get from the various PRS models that I own.

"I know I'm not alone in saying that these Paul Reed Smith videos have been a real 'eye opener.' " I mean it in a positive way, though. I'm always amazed at how much wonder Paul still finds in the guitar. Fender and Gibson have kind of stayed in their lane and haven't improved much, if at all (they do change things here and there, but the instruments are, more or less, the same- which is their niche). PRS has been able to establish itself as a brand that has some of those vintage callbacks but is able to constantly evolve and change, as needed. As a guitar player/collector, I appreciate that.
They covered everything from Beatles to ZZ Top and Jeff Beck. Some have this visceral dislike for Paul, but I respect the dude more and more I see him. He reminds me of me, always full of wonder, curiosity and love he has for guitar. Please keep on going Paul. Thank you for your endless wonder and curiosity. If I can afford them, I'll keep on buying them.

Gibson and Fender are so much bigger in terms of the number of guitars sold per year that PRS is really forced to do something to stand out or they wouldnt survive

Paul is great, a one of a kind. AND I really want a Private Stock in a classic quilt top, Brazilian fretboard, Hollow body I, and Piezo!

@@benelder6431 Been exposed to his guitars since the 80's. Had some friends that loved them, but I could never connect with them. Even owned an early 2000's model. Since seeing his silly xylophone Tonewood video, I know why. As to the man, 100% agreed. Oh man. I just heard them defile Jeff Beck. 200% no.

I wish my local guitar shop had such a selection of PRS guitars. I'm glad they don't because I'd be living in the park with a bunch of guitars.

Paul and his company build great guitars. From the SE’s to the CORE models. And , yes , of course tonewood matters.

I know i'm not alone in saying that these Paul Reed Smith videos have been a real "eye opener." Not impressed with this jerk, not interested in spending my hard earned money on his products either.

I'm dumbfounded that you took that away from these videos, and pretty blown away by the general negativity. For the record, I am 100% on his side when it comes to the lack of imagination, wonder, and magic involved in guitars and the experience of playing them. How many asking to use an audio scope or seeking verifiable, objective data can play? To connect with music through a guitar involves exactly what Paul is talking about. I've played great guitars that cost $100 and $400,000. I've played bad ones in extreme price ranges too. It's about the heart, hands, and attitude of the player. It was a gift and treat to experience Paul at CME. A bunch of true assholes out there, sorry. Thanks for watching

@@PlayandTradeGuitars Honestly, I'm sure you are since you're funded by Zzounds and all the major manufacturers. The negativity from many of the viewers came from our disgust of Paul's attitude on film at CME. People are hurting out here man, nobody wants to hear this pompous ass strutting around spouting about all he knows about tonewoods. That's the root of the argument.

Paul's money has been hard earned too. Regardless of whether you like his personality, a jerk can't build multiple successful businesses (PRS, Digital Harmonic, CytoAcoustics).

@@PaulCooksStuffI completely understand that Paul. A lot of people have worked very hard to achieve what they have in life. After watching all three videos yet again, he seems even more full of himself and pompous than before. I really enjoyed your channel and reviews, but I don't think this conversation is going to end up anywhere good. Keep on rockin' the channel, take care, Chuck.
