I use an old hifi system from samsung, I have been looking at these two options for a while now as I'm looking for something more compact for my setup and also the mackie name on this type of product intruiged me
I do use desktop speakers. I am currently rocking the Vanatoo T0 speakers. They are 400$ right now, but they only cost 360 when I got them before covid. But yeah they are not cheap, so not a fair comparison to these, but thanks for the vid. It gives me a good recommendation for people on a budget.
LETS GO!! Find a budget desktop speaker! I’ve looked into speakers before, but I can never justify buying any. I wouldn’t use them often. I would like some just to enhance my pc setup. Maybe one day.
I use the Cyber Acoustics CA-3810 2.1 PC Speakers with Subwoofer. They sound great and all my PC FX and games have rich sounds and these puppies can get LOUD!
I use the Corsair SP2500 with a big, BIG subwoofer and excellent sound combined with a dedicated DAC/AMP that provides MORE POWA. My room litterally shakes, my windows vibrates when the sound is right. After all, what's the point of blowing someone up if you can't FEEL the blowing up? BOOOOM. And the music kicks ass.
I have used a ton of different speakers before finally settling on the Logitech g560. THE g560's are the best i have heard for the $200 price point. with the ambient lighting that can match the screen gives an unparalleled experience in immersion. The sound quality is amazing with a nice full bodied sound due to the sub woofer. Very clean and crisp too. Please try and review these i would like to know your thoughts on them.
@Umar Mohamad yeah idk much about these desktop systems I like the convenience and ease of use know what I'm getting. I may go with some edifiers or something a little better this time around. these were a gift not bad but I want to upgrade
@umarmohamad1063 they had an update on the g560 a while back that did cut the volume and added a noticeable balance in tone, with a much warming full sound from the speakers themselves. Much better detail than before and a big improvement o er the z series for overall sound quality. But in this price range, i haven't heard anything better. A lot of people like the bose desk speakers those too fail in comparison to these imho. Plus the l9gitech customer service is second to only amazon!! Sound is very subjective but I will respectfully disagree with you on the detail. I am by no means an audiophile, but I do appreciate good sound at a good price. Gaming and movie-watching with these is spectacular. They offer a very wide Soundstage for both of thise media platforms.
Hey techne I went with your advice and I got the Razer blackshark v2 pro white edition and there amazing I'm glad I found your channel you awesome amazing keep up the great work
Me yesterday: maybe its time for a soundbar for my setup The Techne: Guys, here some good gaming speakers!!! i love your channel, its like you read my mind always
I do use desktop speakers, although it's nothing fancy. Just a cheap, $50 insignia SoundBar I got from Best Buy. I use my headset a solid 85%-90% when I'm gaming, so I didn't wanna break the bank on something I knew I wasn't gonna use a lot
Unlikely, Mackie gear is quality, but go too cheap with any brand and you get junk. Nevertheless, web search user reviews and feedback before you make a decision.
I need some good speakers. I'm using a old Bluetooth Samsung speaker box not intended for PC. Works for now but I searching for a good set of speakers.
Hey, i just noticed the volume display when you changed your volume on windows. Did you update? Windows, if i am not mistaken, no longer shows the volume stuff in the corner, but in the lower middle now after the latest updates. Check your updates if you can.
Hello man how are you? Nice video, i always come to you for an honest opinion. Can you please tell me since you have tested both the steel series arena 3 and the mackie cr2 x cube which ones sound better because in my country they are both priced the same and i want to purchase one. Which one is the best buy?
Lol 😂 I just got a Vizio sound bar with a old Sony Subwoofer hooked up to my gaming rig .. best part my desk has a top shelf and the sound bar hides underneath it sitting on the cross bars of the desk legs so it's hiding
Hey, so did you make up your mind about which you like better? CR2 cubes with whatever placement for best sound that is not behind your monitor or the CR2 bar? Do you feel the bar is more convenient?
Hey Techne, Thank you for the review, I was wondering, can you use the Cube and Bar Pro together at the same time? Connect Bluetooth or wire and use it altogether? I know the cube and Bar Pro are totally 2 different products. However, I'd like to know their capability and function.
Hey techne! Im finding a good cheap headphone in my area, and i have to make a choice between the hyper cloud stinger which are 49$ and HyperX cloud stinger core (NON 7.1 sound version) For 27$... note: the price of the hyperX cloud stinger core is only in my area.. i think
1. Dont like the "power on". 2. Dont like that its USB connection, but at least it has an Analog input. 3. Dont like how the cube has all the wires coming out of one speaker. PC speakers of this price point should have a separate remote/connection point. 4. No Sub? Wtf? If anything, the sub should be included and *that* be the main connection for the wires.
Those little desktop monitors are a straight rip of a design that got popular with diy a couple years back. If they are smart and use the actual bmr's we all love, they will sound great and have ridiculous room coverage
Lol Please try iLoud Micro Monitors and let us know. I am almost sure it will trash all these gamer junk out. Although Mackie is not a gamer brand so it is more promising.
I use studio monitors for my desktop speakers, but I'm sort of a sound junky so something like this just wont do for me. At the moment using a pair of IK multimedia Iloud MTM with an Adam T10S Subwoofer and have it hooked up to my PC with the Universal Audio Apollo Solo audio interface. Yes this equipment is more for studio recording and sound mixing, but I just couldn't find a PC speaker setup that was going to work for me. I like pure sound that hits my ears the way the sound from my media or game was meant to sound. Dont want the exaggerated treble and bass that are build into many pc speakers. Being fastidious is not cheap though, so be ready to shell out 1500 bucks or so if you want a similar setup.
Him poking the woofers made me cringe so hard. So much worse with the Mackie's because of the bmr drivers. DON'T POKE YOUR DRIVERS. EVER. ESPECIALLY BMR ONES.
So you didn't find crisp sound on desktop speakers and then you look at "gaming speakers"? Speakers are not exactly a new invention. There are plenty good out there not sure what this weird product placement is for.
These comments... This is a review channel. He discusses/reviews a product and may even compare with other similar products. Simple process. Not once did he admonish other "non-gamery" desktop speakers for lacking crispy-ness. Just a simple straight-forward review regarding this new product he's tested and compared against similar competition. Relax.
@@jeffhult4451 You're ill brother. You won't find a single person on this planet that knocks at razers and steelseries door when looking for "crisp" sound over selling a soundbar as if it's the best thing ever for a price which could get you very nice speakers. Sorry but that I cannot take serious. Too bad he couldn't also slap on his endorsed mega cushions to improve the sound even further lmao.
@@vnxya7116 I believe a large number of gamers are going to go with one of the big brand "gaming" peripheral companies. I get it. How can you TALK SO MUCH but SAY SO LITTLE? 15 Minutes.... feels like an eternity and somehow like you had to make a 15 Minute video to get those speakers for free. There are only gamer reviews online and everyone says the same, almost in the same wording... really strange... on the other hand, the speaker sound very very good. Stereo field is okay, but not that good. Clarity and low end for the size is great. It's really more a consumer product than a professional tool. rather strange from mackie but right now, everyone tries to get into the gamers market.

rarely, i have a cheap redragon soundbar, but most of the time im using IEMs or Edition XS
Audioengine A2+ with a sub. Cleanest game and music experience that I've ever had from speakers *edit*
Best part of those is that you can replace the front mesh grid for Wicked Cushions... no wait!

Put them on some wicked cushions to reduce vibration on surface 🤔

Upgraded my monitor to LG C248 and speakers to LG S95QR soundbar. All my headsets are collecting dust.
My previous speakers were Logitech Z533 2.1 which were actually very nice for the $40 new in store I paid for them a few years back.
Can you combine them for an even better experience? Both soundbar and the smaller speakers? I have space for all 3 (barely).
Now we are talking
Probably with the help of surround sound mixer software or something.
Another great option are the jamo 801 powered speakers, and a cheap sub. Mixed mine with a elac sub and it’s a great sounding set up under $250.
im using logitech Z333 multimedia speajkers. they have bt also. love them. comes with subwoofer.
