I've had the Saramonic Blink 500 for about 2 years now and I love it. This Synco is priced the same but has more features: hard shell case, channel gain, unit LCDs, 3 head charge cable and the receiver headphone jack. If I have to replace mine, I'd consider the Synco for sure. Thanks for the review.
I think I’m kind of convinced that the guts of these units are probably made in some of the same factories. Great to hear you’ve had some long term success with the Blink 500. I keep thinking, if if only these tools existed 20 years ago when I started making videos…. Haha Thanks so much for watching Craig!
@@CreativeVideoTips You're probably correct on the guts. I shot my first VHS video 35 years ago when the camera and portable VCR were separate units. To go wireless, you had to find a Mr. Microphone 🎤. You remember "hey good looking, we'll be back to pick you up later", probably not, you're too young. Tech today let's everyone create their own content.
What a coincidence I tapped on this video, I was looking for these kind of mics so my team and I can film for our school’s morning news. Thank you for doing this review!
Great review of the Synco, it is so important to know about the limits for drop range and the performance of the set. thanks for the recommendation Chadwick ! I will be adding this to my audio tool set . great video
Thanks - What surprised me about the distance test when making this video is how important it is to be in direct line of sight whenever possible. For the longest time, I would place a transmitter on the backside of the talent. Now I know to try to keep it forward-facing to get the best signal possible.
Is it possible to transmit to multiple numbers of receivers if I purchase another set?? I mean, can a receiver catch the sound transmitted from a transmitter of another set? I already have a set of G1A2, and want to use it like a Walkie-Talkie machine for several numbers of people so that they can hear my voice at site visits😊
Not bad for the price and cool that it includes a lav. Looking forward to your review of the DJI mic. That setup looks pretty sweet. I think the lack of onboard recording on this will keep me awsy.
Yeah I agree this is one of those "for the price" type products. I can't tell you how many times I wish I had an onboard recording backup. I've heard great things about the DJI mic, although I'm not sure I have a need for it in the near future. We have the new Rode Go's at my office and they can now batch export the onboard recordings so I might just pull those when needed. Thanks for watching Galin.
The Transmitter A lasts for 12 hr 11 min without mic. Receiver and Transmitter B are still working without any input to a video device and without any mic . 😮
Having trouble finding the exact tutorial you mentioned on independently editing 2 channels. I’m always wary of mic kits with a single receiver bc I fear it’s going to bake all the sound into one file.
hi there, When I record on my iPhone and try to record stereo sound it does not have 2 audio waves, only one, when I use a record app, I can get.2. but for some reason both audio waves are the exact same as if there's only one mic, am I doing something wrong? I would like to be able to split them and be independent sounds. do I have to use a camera? thanks!
This mic does not work with my phone for some reason. I have a moterola stylus 5g and for some reason, no matter what ive tried, it has not work. I would really like to know if there is a fix for this.
Being 2.4Ghz it is very important that antenna oration is not 90 degrees to each other unless the device has dual or multi antennas. As to the Unit not having built in recorders well when the ROADE wireless GO 2 is configured w/ Lavs it $500. or 250% more in cost. Can U possibly do a video on the Pixel UHF Wireless Lavalier Microphone System
Thanks for your advice - are you suggesting, we might get a better signal if they are both orientated the same direction? Potentially having the receiver not laying down flat on top of the camera? Very curious to try this. I don't have access to the Pixel UHF system, but I'll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Great review man! Just subbed to your channel. I just picked one of these up for a interview video shoot this weekend. I will check out the lav, but looks like I might be getting the Syn mic2 as an upgrade for better audio quality. But for now I think I can eq and compress the audio for better sound.
I'm trying to figure how to sync a 2 mic 1 receiver wireless Mic system while using the 4 channels of the a Zoom H4n placed with both are upto 50' from Video camera. The video camera has a shotgun mic installed also. I have to leave the H4n and wireless mics on continually, Can't pause them and wish to have on and off recording of the video. This is outdoors at a Model airplane field & I can't be near the H4n or the People using the wireless mics. Wouldn't it be great if every recording device Cameras audio recorders etc. had a universal time clock built right in them correct by WWV Coordinated Universal Time ?
Oh absolutely that would be nice if that was included in the devices. Have you seen my video from last week on the tentacle sync E system? The track E is great too from what I've heard. I can of course understand though, those extra bits to connect, buy, and potentially fail are not ideal. Some of the high end field recorders like the mix-pre 10 I think can hold a timecode, but they are few and far between. Sometimes the best you can do, which is better than most people do, is make sure your date, time is correct and then try to click the time on each device the exact same time to set the clocks that way. This will usually get you at least within a a second or two which does help in post.
Legend! Thanks, for now that is really the best way to help support the channel. You don't even need to buy the thing linked, just click through every once and a while if you think of it.
I used this with my s21 ultra for the first time today, and I'm getting a hiss in the background. My friend used it on his iPhone 13 with no hissing. Has me really confused, how can i stop this ?
I’m sorry to hear this. The first thing I would try is to disable cellular on any phone nearby. They have a tendency to sneak their way into signals. Airplane mode is great.
Thank you for this, just came across you. Bought a few days ago at a great sale price and on testing found something I don't like that you didn't mention. It's so easy to hit the mute button. Is there a way you can use these and also have a back up system; I'm new to audio. Great channel.
Good job. I just bought two two transmitter set. When I want to use two mics at once does the receive pair on its own or do I need to do something? Thanks.
Checkout the Godox new mics. I have the Rode Go II. Rode Go II output different levels on separate channels. More stuff and the handle. I think the handle is cheesy. I bought a tascam lav to use with them.
Both of my units died on me. The day it arrived actually had the receiver dead. Managed to swap the battery for a new one but shortly after, the second one died too. Then I gave up on it. A few days ago I found it again and tried to recharge them. Guess what? Both dead again. Synco never answered my emails.
@@CreativeVideoTips My Pixel 5 allows for variable or fixed frame rate. My guess is to use this with a phone, you'd need a USB-C adapter. Would it just a standard USB-C to USB-C cable?
@@CreativeVideoTips At least you own it and can laugh about it, and went ahead and posted anyways. Great video, always love seeing cost effective alternatives to more mainstream products.

Great video. You have great public speaking skills and you are so comfortable on camera…I’m jealous
That camera built in mic is good 😊
Super professional review, down to earth and helpful. Well done! BTW, I bought this two weeks ago on Amazon and only paid $139! So far so good.
Thanks for the video, my man

It sounds really hot. Is it quite a bit hotter than the Rode Go or Go2?
It is about the same, I must have just mixed or recorded it a little high.

does it have internal recording?
What reporter mic adapter are you using? I know rode has one for 30.00 but I like how that one looks??

How will this work with a PA system/ speaker? Vause microphone feedback because the mic is omnidirectional?
