Nice run Peck ... gonna bring that win home soon!!!
Glad to finally see Rico in Whiskey Meyers Victory lane. Nice driving on a slick slick track.
New York state race tracks are a different world, slickest race tracks on the continent perhaps.
Utica Rome used to always be like this. It’s a good track but the track prep crews most likely packed it tight earlier in the week due to the threat of rain.
@@rsphotography20 Utica is ALWAYS like this. track is always burned out and glazed over in hot laps. anyways, the sprints still put on a good show.
RICO, SO SO SO AWESOME.
Rico Abreu with a great win with Justin Peck and James McFadden also fast. Brent Marks was the fastest in time Trials, the heats and the Dash but his car seemed to have issues in the feature and getting 4th was a struggle for him with his issues but still a good day with another top 5 with his 4th place finish and still 3rd overall in the points.
good one rico!
Hell yes!!! Congratulations Rico🏁🏁🏁🏆🏆🏆
YES! Rico first of the season in NY State!
Congratulations to you Rico
Way to go RICO
Bout time Rico
Rico kickin' butt
Rico!!!!!!
Jacob Allen is tanking fast. He started out good in the High Limit Series and was at one time 5th in the points but now slipped out of the top 10 in points and currently 11th in the points with his best finish in his last 5 races being only 18th.
I saw that too. I wonder what's going on with that.
Schuchart isn't doing much better with the WOO
None of the Posse is doing any good what are y'all talking about 😂
Id say Brent Marks is holding his own.
@@curtishoke143 so now Shark Racing is Posse cause they aren't winning but if they do win they are considered High Limit and an Outlaw.. ok got it..
Go Rico! 👍
Go Rico
Someone should show these race tracks what a water truck looks like and maybe purchase one.
Tracks up in New York from the big tracks that the modifieds race at to the small cart tracks get like this. It’s the New York dirt, it’s 1 in a million you race without some dust.
This track is like watching paint dry...
Lol this morning . Come to my mind too!
Crew chief probably different maker on this type of racing surface
Dam Skippy ❤💪💪
Holy DRY SLICK NESS!! That was horrible!! Like watching winged Zambonis out ther!! 💯😆Congrats Rico on w1 for '24 in the 24!! Cali Cartel! 🔥🏁🏁🏁
While that surface was pretty lame I will say it was interesting watching the drivers be on absolute edge the entire time and trying to get the most out of their cars as they could while not over driving it. Some guys are good at going balls to the wall but often times it's a totally different set of drivers that are good at negotiating low grip surfaces and I think that was apparent in this race.
Damn Rico.. did you steal that car before the green flag?..
Drove it like he stole it🏁
I really don’t understand all the people whining about the track. I’m guessing they only watched the highlights and saw a dry track and thought the racing sucked. Well if they did watch it they’d have seen cars high, middle, and low. Running side by side and passing all night. Who cares if they weren’t running flat out. It’s nice to have a change of pace. Y’all complain Sweet wind every night on a stuck track, now you get a slick track and he’s a non factor, yet you still whine. Be glad they cancelled Fonda, now THAT would’ve been a joke running a track with more ruts than motocross.
The tracks went away in hot Laps. That’s not very good
@taylormcmillen9453 If your definition of “ the track went away” means cars can run side by side and isn’t one groove, I’d say more tracks should do it. But again I watched the full program and saw a great race.
@@onethumbks you’re definitely entitled to your own opjnion
I wonder if Wise still loves those Ford + Tony = Fony Ford engines.
During a Chaz pit walk tonight @ Attica, Schatz said (To paraphrase) that he hates them.
Yeah, the Ford engine is a wild beast to tame! Those cylinder heads allow that engine to make insane power and keeps feeding too much air into the cylinders even after letting off the throttle.
I watched the full race on Flo. And wanna say I wasnt sure how to feel about the official making gestures to the drone after Rico hit the scales. Even if it was just a thumbs up and something else I couldnt tell. If I see that at every race going forward then OK. Since that will be our confirmation from the official. But if it was a subtle middle finger for the criticism from Thursday and is only done last night it's not a good look. I tried jumping on the wing bandwagon since I'm from Indiana and always preferred traditional sprint cars. But there is starting to be too much drama in all this for me. And everyone wants to have an attitude if you have any criticisms of either series.
No that was a thumbs up. I've not seen him do that before but it will probably be added to the theatrics and catch phrases in racing these days.
Haudenschild managed to dump twice tonight, within the first 10 laps, to commemorate his Ohio home coming. I've seen Sheldon dump 3 times in one night. In one race. He would have duplicated his record. I have no doubt. If he hadn't completely destroyed the car tonight on his second flip.
I was at that Race he flipped 3 times in one night in Willis Texas ,same night Reutzel ran over that kid in the pits it was the kids fault 100 percent I seen it happen
@raymond3803 😂😂😂😂😂 "I have no doubt" great post
WTF does any of that have to do with THIS race?
@@aammdj a lot he flipped twice last night and 3 times in one night in Texas
Still finished 12th.
You see what happens when Sweet isn't running light.
😂😂 dumb
Yeah how many times was sweet light in his 5 straight WOO championships?
@@rich873 the same amount as this year, zero times.
Track prep several times this year have made for less exciting racing
This is typical East Coast slick track racing... Horrible track prep. Track went away before heat races.
Bad lighting it's dusty too
So did Rico weigh his own car in. What a joke
what do u mean?
He weighed last night and so did Sweet on Thursday. Not sure why people are saying they didn't.
Great for Rico,but what moisture?
New York tracks are a joke. 😂
BORING for the Low Limit Racing Series.. oh yeah another big track..
Then why are you here watching if you hate the HL?
Big track😂 that's no more than a half mile
Any moisture in this crap track is in the announcers imagination, either that or he's never been to a race before. I understand track prep can be hit and miss depending on the quality of surface you have. Couple things I've learned being around this sport for 65 years, you can't start prepping the track the day of the race. You'd better start at least 3 days before. If you wanna have a low and top grove, that's where you have put the water - DUH. I watched some hots laps and qualifying at this show tonight. They lost the tack during hot laps at this joint. There's zero excuse for that. High Limit better start getting a grip with these tracks on prep, Laying rubber and every night and ice skating rinks are about as interesting as watching grass grow.
calm down for petes sake.😅
@@albondigas9549he’s not wrong…
To be fair the announcer is chase Roden… and he is a moron
@@tuckdaman1185 It was a great race. Someone would have to be looking for stuff to complain about. Normally its a know it all type trying to flex their " knowledge" on people. Like a grumpy frumpy old man. Id just as soon have a beer and enjoy the race for what it is.
As sprint car driver. Dry slick is the most fun racing. A heavy track with a lot of moisture sucks to race on. Takes more skill to be fast on ice. I prefer dry slick because I know what it takes to drive these cars
