    I never realized just how fast those little tugs can pull those huge planes.

    Thanks for the ride! Back in the long ago when I was young and had hair on top of my head, the city fathers decided to build a new airport. The projected name was Jetero. Fortunately it became Houston Intercontinental, now Bush. Post opening for business, there was nothing around the airport but plenty of cow pasture. A few years later, it was surrounded by wall to wall housing developments, shopping malls, businesses, schools, etc. The folks who had moved around the airport started complaining about the jet noise, thus the airlines cut back on the power once airborne. I flew out of Houston Intercontinental in the 70's and I didn't particularly care for the cut back on power while climbing. lol

    I loved doing that same route on the very first U.S. based B789, way back in October 2014. It's cool to watch this and relive it.

    AGAIN THE BEST SEAT IN THE "DREAMLINER" TO SEE AND HEAR THE WONDERFUL WHINE OF (I believe) THE HUGE GE- 9X ENGINES WORKING HARD AND THE WING FLEX. WHAT A WORK OF ART THIS ARILINER IS! GREAT FOOTAGE. THANKS!

    Love how you guys started dat turbulence dance as soon as you entered those CBs - so many in the area, they probably vectored through the least-bad alleyway.

    Seemed like a rough landing that kept on being rough, but maybe just seems that way. Oh you caught one of those 4-engined delights toward the end, too! Great video!

    Convective clouds will definitely toss a 380 around, no less a 787. Looks like the pilots couldn't avoid any of them this time, normally they'll ask for deviations when possible. The new Terminal C and North Concourse is complete, I think the South Concourse is going to be opening soon if it's not already. Also, looks like someone got a bit ancy with the boarding announcements in the terminal 😄. Great set of videos from your Hawaii trip, enjoying every bit!

    Why would a 787 go on such a short route

  • @120ail1
    @120ail1 5 лет назад +2

    Beautiful flight...shame United has such a rubbish biz product on a newer plane. All the other carriers are going to all aisle access. If they fitted their new Polaris seat on the 787-9, it’d be outstanding.

    • @Natnast69
      @Natnast69 5 лет назад

      Same for their domestic 777's. First Class is not Polaris grade, just retro-fitted Business Class seats in a 2-4-2 configuration.
