- Flight 609 from Amsterdam to Salt Lake City
Taken from Seat 7A (World Business Class)
Aircraft PH-BHA (named Carnation / Anjer)
June 4, 2017
This was a flight I was looking forward to...a long-haul 787 flight! KLM World Business was amazing! Though for an aircraft that is only 7 months old, the seats look like they took a beating which was a little disappointing. But the service made up for it. Hope you enjoy the views!

The modern aircraft wing just fascinates me. Such a marvel of engineering.
Surprisingly quiet engines. Some have resonated in the cabin so bad that it makes your head feel like it's in a vice, but these are pleasant.
I see this plane coming in to land every time I’m at work... I love it. Thanks for sharing.
That low droning sound on the taxiway really takes me back to traveling in aircraft. They all have that sound.
What a beautiful and smooth departure out of AMS towards the atlantic.

That wing flex is spooky
Lithium batts be spooky
When they certify a plane, they bend the wings upwards to 45 degrees. The wings have to do so without failure in order to pass. A little flex is no problem, they are designed to flex.
@@RandolphMcguttersmelf damn LiPoS have no manners.

I love to watch the take off, the power is awe inspiring. The mountains at the end of the video are beautiful. Flight is such a spiritual experience. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing how thew 747-400 was generating so much thrust during the taxi. You can see the dust blowing from the ground. Amazing video overall!

Where did you see the dust during the taxing ?
@@karimtebbakh2432 if i read his reply correctly, he ? was referring to a 747-400
@@karimtebbakh2432 it was the chinese cargo aircraft which produced so much air blast. You could see it clearly when looking on the tarmac.
@@yamahonkawazuki Yes, correctly.
A very impressive trip report on a very quiet aircraft. Wow, the scenery as you approached SLC was amazing. For onlookers on the ground, watching the aircraft land, must have made an impressive sight, with the snow capped mountains in the background. Your wing shots framed the outside scenery very well. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful footage. The sound and visual quality were magnificent. It sounded as though an actual plane was taking off in my livingroom. Bose speakers supported that thunderous 787-9 turbine engine. Thankyou.
Nice angle on the fans. Not to mention that 747 at the 12:00 mark was beautiful. That is one busy airport. Great video!!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
It's great how the leading edge gets pulled in at 19:21.
Pretty impressed with the quietness of the engine. Awesome video.
It is very quiet in the cabin
Brilliant wingview video.Excellent sound and filming
I saw this fly over my school just north of slc, it was so awesome
You must've had the time of your life flying over the Arctic Ocean, it looks so beautiful.
Tremendous views 👍💥Stopping power Awesome.👍💥
That wing flex. You can see it getting bigger and bigger as the aircraft is accelerating.
awesome sound of engine.....
@ 42:42 cowling of engine is pointing directly at my house, Layton, Utah, as the aircraft just passed over Hill Air Force Base
Absolutely great video! Hope to try them soon nonstop from slc!
Glad you liked it! Hope you get a chance to fly them!
I love it when the Pilot or First Officer say 5 minutes to take off or landing!
Damn... I was flying on my Flight simulator the same 787-9 PH-BHA haha nice video, thanks!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
57 Minutes from Amsterdam to Salt Lake City? Wow!!!!! SR-71 couldn't even pull that off.
love the sound on takeoff, i always try to get a seat JUST forward of the wing/engines. , that sound is gravity b*tching about losing another airplane to the sky.
Nice looking engine
I noticed you folks sat on the taxiway for quite a while between 9:40 -14:43.
Also, that red and white 747 in the background, was next for takeoff, but decided to taxi back to the terminal at 12:12. The co-pilot probably told the pilot he forgot to leave a tip at the skyway lounge. 😊✈
Say, do you hand out hearts? ❤
Amazingly quiet!
I can almost guarantee that I watched you fly by at 42:15 and on.. You flew right over my work, Hill AFB, during my shift, and I spent a decent amount of time outside and checking out flightaware.. Cool you flew straight in like that.. Usually the flights coming in the northern tracks fly past SLC then do a 180 and land facing north.
They're direct flights between Salt Lake City and Amsterdam? Thinking maybe the Mormons need to unwind from time to time.
That was the fastest pushback I've ever saw.
At 13:35 when the 747 took off, you could hear the roar and the power shaking the 787, the window was shaking..
Awesome video! =D
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome Video.. Thank you..
Glad you liked it!
I think the A320 has a very distinctive taxi whine sound
That was one long pushback
What with the blue shift on the video around the 25:00 mark? Is that the lighting in the cabin or the camera setting?
That's the electronically dimmable window
SIH Aviation thanks
Is there anything even there at salt late to go all that way in normal circumstances
I sometimes see these fly over my house north of Salt lake
在阿姆斯特丹机场的滑行很有趣,我最喜欢一边听安全须知的BGM一边看发动机启动了,有一种要征服蓝天的感觉
nice sound engine
17:01 no need to waste your time
No need to thank you
although that can be help for to some, many like to watch a video in its entirety :)
thank you bro
Traces of snow always until the 4th. Maybe longer this year though.
Great engine sound starting at 17:02. Look at those turbines put in the work over those cold extremes. 26:49
Skip ahead to 17:00. Thank me later. BTW are there any two cities that are completely opposite of each other?
I Love Boeing❤️❤️❤️
Netherlands to Salt Lake City? That's an interesting route. Are there many Mormons in the Netherlands?
I'm guessing it has a lot of do with SLC being a Delta hub and letting KLM feed it's passengers onto connecting domestic flights.
That makes sense. Thanks.
sad to see these modern era airplanes. going to miss the sound of a CF6 or trent or RB211. the noise makes the trip exciting! much like a v8 car or motorcycle with exhaust!
The engine so silent on startup compared to the GE90, even the takeoff roar 😃
Smtimes it roars
@@thiernoba3388 Depending on the pilot huh!
Yeah
I live about 15 miles north east of the Salt Lake airport. I can see these big birds when they come to town.
wow 👍
I hate how quiet the reverse thrust is. Great plane though!
I miss the days when those Delta gates at SLC were filled with 727s.
Why Thy don’t have the tv the new ones do
I look forward to seeing more big jets like the 777 or airbus 350
i going to go on a 787 brisbane to Vancouver
I am going to fly this route, in a few days, and I have fear of flying. Wish me luck ✌️
good luck. But honestly everything will be fine
Very interesting! I guess KLM has a lot of English-speaking passengers!
The 747 has a genx engine too
How long was the flight? You never mentioned it in your description above.

I was thinking the plane was driving to salt lake city ..
Hi,tell me how can a plane drive. Question nr.2 do you know where Salt Lake City is??
Hey, 35:00 you're flying over Cache Valley! You can see Bear Lake in the background
Right? And you can see North Ogden Pass as plain as day.
1) Any idea what engines are these? 2) What is the flight duration?
Thanks
Colin Chai Those engines are GEnx1B
GEnx1B engines. Flight was 9:37.
Wait What? I thought Slc have domestic flights only
actually there are flights from slc to Paris, Amsterdam and London
Despite the green idiots, this is by far the fastest and most efficient way to travel around the globe.
13:28 , the sound from boeing 747 ?
Yes that was the 744 taking off
Nice!
Nice
Can't take off without pausing to bow to the queen.
17:04 full volume.... eargasmic
That must be Iceland at 26:25 ;-)
I'm not exactly sure where that was. I don't remember looking at the map. It could be Iceland or Greenland or just ice covered ocean
We have planes that can fly themselves from one runway to another on their own, but we can't make an in-flight speaker that can handle "plosives". (b, d, t, k, g, p)
What were the loads like?
It seemed like the last time I checked the seat map a few hours before the flight every seat was full. World Business was completely full.

WHERE THE A350 IS QUIETER THAN THE 787?
I haven't flown on the A350 yet
10:27 That 747 was belong to ANA.
Yaorong Dai nope Hainan
I mean the lord that before HNA group. Because this plane named 747-481, and “81” is the Boeing customer code of ANA.
Hainan Airlines’ code is 4P.

Did you have to speed up everything? Sorry, but that was really annoying.
Heather stubbs the video wasn't sped up
Yes, I know that now. I apologize profusely. I hoped you had received my apology in the comments section, but I realized that I'd somehow messed up the speed setting when I dozed off. Again, I'm so sorry for the mixup.
Oh boy. Do I need to apologize! I am so sorry! I didn't realize that I had amped my speed up to "2". I must have hit the mouse while I was dozing. I am so sorry, and with that, you got a subscriber, and I removed the "dislike". How I wish I could take that comment back. I only had to play another unrelated video to realize that I'd made a serious mistake, because that's how I discovered the speed.

QUIET LIKE AN AIRBUS
What a shit airport design. Jet aircraft turning into active runways blast dirt and debris into waiting aircraft. Nice.
Not every country has the space to have non crossing runways, so is the case for this airport so yeah. Plus there are alot of people that complain about noice there so they have to make it as compact as possible
