I wasn’t even on that flight but I still felt very sad when the plane landed 😪 (Landing at your destination after a great vacation is probably the most saddest feeling ever)
That's a great view of Honolulu on departure from the airport. In 1969 I was in Honolulu with my wife to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary during my R&R (rest & recuperation) from the Vietnam War. We had a great time, rented a car and tour the entire island. We stayed at the Hawaiian Hilton Hotel on the beach. It was a time that we'll never forget...!!
Haha I was born there! I went to UH manoa and would watch the planes all the time from the round dorm towers I was living in on campus; great memories.
14:28 The Boeing 747 and the 767 Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines spooling up takeoff sound like the screechy underground train accelerates! That’s what they made. :)
vinylking1252 I’m wondering why you think HNL is hard to get in and out of. One of my best friends is an HA A330 captain; he said it’s the easiest airport imaginable.
Love the roar of the 767's engines

it sure is
You could imagine you lived in Honolulu and was going to LA and you wouldn’t be sad.

Spectacular views..........and Delta number 1
I remember as a kid, my mom would drive me to the reef runway and let me watch all the planes, great memories.
I can’t wait till we’re able to share memories bc I’ll love to have that memory
I was stationed at Barbers Point from 1979-1982 and always enjoyed planes coming and going at HNL.
Awesome video! Brings back good memories! Thanks for Sharing 🤙🏼
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
4:24 you can hear the A330 spooling up
I was stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center for three years from 1978 to 1981 and watched the planes land and take off every day.

Spectacular view of Honolulu!
Nice B♭2 note of the buzzsaw which is near the lower end of my singing range!
My Dad Was Stationed in Hawaii Since Sept 1981 To June 1984 When He was in the Navy.

Wow that is one long taxi. I thought for a moment they had taken a wrong turn or something Wow! Great video though.
The pilot buttered the bread on that landing!

ホノルルから羽田へはいつもコオリナ方面へ…なので、ダイヤモンドヘッドやハワイカイの方はとてもキレイですね!
ホノルルからロサンゼルス方面へ一度乗ってみたいです!
Très jolie vidéo et très belle vue
That's an unusual pattern on the centrepiece of the left engine fan. I've seen that same pattern on JT9D engines.
Awesome video
Thanks!
Listen to those Pratt & Whitney’s sing!
And the engine sounds not only classic, but like a CFM LEAP-1A A321neo..........
I’m pretty sure that’s a GE CF6-80
@@paintedblue6006 Nope, these are PW4000s.
It looks like the plane landed at LAX..but I thought LAX was closer to the ocean than what it appeared in the video.
great damn pilot. wow

Youre right! Brain disconnect. I had heard planes have to turn at a 45 degree angle to
avoid noise abatement over Waikiki Beach.
What engine is that? Anybody know?
According to Airfleets this aircraft has PW4060 engines
Excelente Jato Ótimo Vídeo Parabéns amigo
I noticed the plane had to taxi past a golf course, subdivision and a Walmart to get the runway. Jeeeez.
4:20 ... Let's race!!! lol
Haha
What time was it when they landed in l.a? 625? Am or pm?
We landed at 6:25 p.m.
Still using 767s christ,very old
Yep. And I just read they are retrofitting the 763s and A330s
They'll be around to at least the end of the decade.
Ohahu ❤️
😀
What are those islands at 25:11 ? Channel islands, Santa Barbara?
San Miguel, Santa Rosa and Santa Cruz Islands. We flew over Anacapa but you can't see it in the video.
At one point, I thought the pilots would be driving to LAX. Lol
