im sorry but any polish that "dust" alot isnt worth it there are tons of compounds/ polishes that dont dust as a pro when you fully correct a car and its covered in dust and the only way to quickly remove the dust is to wash the car again vs a non dust all you need is an ISO wipe down and straight to coating time is money brother im more of a fan of the sonax compounds at the end of the day
i bet using m100 with your da and a foam cutting pad you could handle 2000 grit wet sand scratchs if you moved da slower on panel... then finish off with m 205,

I didn't get the dusting you did on DA. Maybe was that a brand new pad? I did have an issue with brand new pad on first panel of the foam dust coming off, but when I switched to a used pad it didn't dust at all. Also after first panel/area with new pad the "dusting" was gone. But I get the foam dust with new foam pads. Lately I've been running a brush Iver the new foam pads while running on machine to kind of break them in and get rid of the foam dusting. Seems to help.
Yeah I used to think anything I used dusted. Now I just run a bush over the pad mounted to my polisher at low speed for a bit and let the foam break in a bit
That was interesting. This video series is really helping, i have crappy little car but i do love try to get it looking good and your helping fill the cleaning shelf.

i would say its most likly your machine. If the one you mentioned has two handles, then its def your machine and you need a dual action machine or one that has forced rotation. Stay away from rotary, but something with more power will help a lot.
@@autodetailingpodcast the rotary i used has no handles, I even tried without the rotary, just a microfiber cloth and the compound and still no results. Thank you for your response, I appreciated it
its a bit weird because the 110 combo with microfiber pad cut and remove swirlmark flawlessly on my w204 mercedes paint which is known to having a hard factory clearcoat.. it should work better on japanese car because their clearcoat hardness is on a moderate level.. and i use a bauer 21mm DA.
I can see if you're a detailer and worry about dust but here I am wet sanding a whole damn car and polishing the whole goddamn don't care about dust. Great video otherwise
Hey can you try on your metal panel if you sand it then spray clear over it if it will remove all the scratches? I've tried this with 5000grit sand paper on card board it did look to fully remove any defects but there is no depth in my simple cardboard spray paint with two layers of clear
With all the modern newer compound in the market right now, having a dusty product and hard to wipe is a nuisance, needing extra step to clean it later.. other modern compound such as from 3d and sonax produce almost no dust and easy to wipe..
Do you recommend using a cutting pad before using a foam polishing pad?? i have the m110 and i noticed with the foam polishing pad it doesn't cut deep enough to get 2000 grit wet sand off, or water spots. i feel like the 110 needs a cutting pad to actually get 1200+ grits off. shit even with the foam pad i cant remove all swirl marks.
For best results when leveling 1200-2000 grit sanding marks, wool or microfiber is going to give you the most cut, a foam cutting pad will work also, but it might simply take longer or require a second pass, the good thing is that foam usually finishes better than wool or microfiber.
Im trying to use the M100 on my car. I have it for 3 years but never done anything like that on the car. Can i just wash it and put this on? Then finish with the turtle spray wax? Anybody?🙂
