Put simply, straping people to rockets that go at 3-4G and barrelling them across the planet is a terrible idea. Not only does the 3-4G part exclude half of the population, but it would also make it a living hell to actually go on one. Not to mention how long it would take to actually get on one, based on how far they would have to be from their respective cities, essentially increasing the time taken to get to wherever you want to go beyond the point of practicality.
