    That had to be one of the most inefficient tool paths I've seen in a while. You're starting to remind me of me.

    Injection molding is always the big barrier to those small businesses who wish to develop new products. It would be great to see how you have approached this from tool design through to molded parts. Love your content - it inspired me to follow your journey.

    Very cool. Are you going to do a video on the plastic injection molding machine?

    • @NerdlyCNC

      yep...itll be a bit. but once we have a mold that is youtube friendly we will

      Awesome. What kind of plastic injection molding machine is it?

    I probe z first, or else the depth of probe on x and y is crossing your fingers a little. Thanks for posting!

    That probing macro in the beginning, is that one that you made yourself, and maybe are willing to share? I have an X7 my self, but as far as I know I cannot do that probing sequence with it.

    Sounds like the spindle bogs down a bit. What KW/HP does your spindle have?

    • @NerdlyCNC
      @NerdlyCNC  Год назад +1

      i think its like7hp...i'm running up at 10k near the bottom of the torque curve

      I know you use this mainly for prototyping, but our Syntec X7 takes heavier cuts (YG-1, aluminum) and only reads about 20% spindle load. I have yet to be able to bog it down. Strange@@NerdlyCNC

      @@MrEpicLion I'm curious about this. You are the 3rd person to mention this.

    Curious what helixing into the center and cutting outwards would do to your cycle time

      There definitely is a lot of potential to improve cycle time here, but it’s usually not worth the programming effort if you’re doing the part only once

    hello just interested in what type of spindle this machine has i.e BT30 or BT40 ?
