That's pretty interesting about Tony Dalton hearing the name Lalo years before and never knowing it was him.
This scene was ridiculous in all the right ways. I loved it.
Vega Vice Exactly! The Salamancas encompass all angles of just plain twisted.
Hector will shoot you in the head when he's supposed to bring you a drink.
Tuco will beat you to death and then show off his bloody fist.
Lionel and Marco will charge into your compound and shoot up everyone, even taking some hits themselves. They'll exchange looks before(or after) guns blaze.
Then there's Eduardo, who will lay down charm before coming down through a drop ceiling and taking over.
(And of course, Joaquin, who will lose a one-on-one firefight to Jesse Pinkman).
Love it.
For all those who didn't like this scene, well, just remember that Gustavo Fring walked through a doorway and adjusted his tie with half a head before collapsing.
This universe takes crazy turns when it works, and this works.
Chris Morgan Everything involving the Salamancas is pure crazy awesomeness. They deserve their own spin-off series IMO, Vince Gilligan should never stop expanding this universe.
It's based on an actual crime, you can watch the footage on RUclips

What makes Better Call Saul great is that many shows would’ve skipped past the consequences of this murder whereas a season later in BCS, this action still has consequences!!
I love how Fred's death truly got to Saul and he felt horrible about getting Lalo a free pass on the crime.
@@franksemyon5855 shows that he still has some moral good left
0:34 Seeing Mike all smiling and bubbly messes with my brain.
It´s so refreshing to watch Lalo Salamanca. He is so charismatic and lethal at the same time.
Lalo is seeming like such a badass guy, hoping he's the main antagonist of next season! Maybe someone who can actually give Mike a run for his money?
Yeah even Gus seems puzled by him
Nah
@Rational PoC I don't think so. The way Saul talked about him in BB it seemed like he was still very much alive.
Yes he is
@@Carlos-ln8fd He could be dead behind the scenes, assassinated by Gus for real this time, but Saul wouldn't know any better.
now we all know that Lalo is a Ninja.....
A ninjor
Lalo is the typecast of a psychopath. Charming, playful, yet batshit crazy when necessary. That's why this scene - whilst out of character for Better Call Saul - shouldn't be seen as unexpected. We've already seen what the Salamancas are capable of and know their reputation precedes them in the field of violence. Lalo is heralding in the convergence with Breaking Bad, where we can see overlap with the fearless, almost insane, antics of the Salamancas in that series (Tuco, Lionel and Marco, Hector) in the form of a grinning, gun wielding Mexican willing to climb through a ceiling vent to get what he wants. Season 5 will ramp up the violence and most likely we'll begin to see a confrontation between Gus and the Salamancas that involves Mike and Jimmy.
That's my point. Better Call Saul had a degree of realism to it that is being shattered with the likes of Lalo and Gus Fring.
And that jumping in ditch on car scene was also perfect
mmmmmhm.... we need military grade vents in this bank, waltuh. these cartel guys will tear through consumer grade in a second....
This is the moment where Mike becomes Heisenberg.
Solid Snake colonel, can you hear me?
Lawda mera
Who came here after finishing season 5?! Well Lalo doesn't looks so funny now , does he!!😅😅
He's pissed now and thirsty for revenge
Mike smiling is blowing my mind
As if Gus' scene after having faced an explosion wasn't a lot more ridiculous than this. Or are you giving it a free pass because it was 'badass' and 'full of symbolism'?
And that scene in Breaking Bad that shows Danny Trejo's head on a turtle? Come on. I love Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul but there are a lot of bizarre moments in both.
I usually like that, because it's funny and unexpected.
@@matheuslaudano124 Since the Mexican Cartels are realistically a bunch of sick fucks, I wouldn't be surprised if they resorted to that kind of thing lol.
+Matheus Laudano
That one isn't far off. The cartels are sick crazy bastards and they do worse than beheading a guy and putting his head on a turtle.
The craziest thing I saw a cartel do is in a video going around of some cartel gang skinning a guy alive. Very graphic shit.
@@AddictionToGaming
Well, thinking like that, I have to agree XD
@@matheuslaudano124 I think these bizzar scenes come from the producer/director background in working with X-Files team
Somehow I find those wrinkles every time he smiles and eyebrows raised pretty damn unnerving
Fred wasn't no snitch tho
But you can’t crawl or walk across a drop ceiling.. it doesn’t work like that.
Gaston!!!
wish tony do something about the mole between his eyebrows....
I honestly thought this scene was so dumb
I`m sort of disappointed that in this video Jonathan Banks is not trying to intimidate the audience ;)
Lalo killing this guy might be the worst written thing in the whole BB or BCS universe, him killing this guy makes no sense at all. I mean wtf no way a dude as smart as Lalo kills some nerd for no reason he hasn't done that before or since.
? He legit got Werner Ziegler's name from beating Fred's head in... if it wasn't for this action Lalo would've never even suspected the project that Gus was working on. And its not like he feels bad about killing in any way he clearly enjoys it, despite not losing control like Tuco does. The worst written thing in BCS is how both Lalo and Gus gets dumbed down in season 6 ep 8.
37 people watched this video and pressed dislike lol, why?
I just need to see my vife!
As bad as as Tony Dalton looks here, I still hate him. Clase 406 fans understand
was he in Clase 406?
@@Nobody6175 yea... he was dago, the one who got Gabriela pregnant. The gym teacher
I never personally liked this very much. Bit much.. Maybe I'll change my mind.
I feel like I’m the only one who actually doesn’t like this stunt. I think it’s too cartoony and not very realistic.
How are you "breaking out of the mold" when you're playing the same character you've played for 12 years?
Meh, this scene was really out of place, especially in such a serious moment.
lalos violence is weird, we can expect scenes like that from him on next season
he fits perfectly with the weirdness of the Salamanca family
Lalo is the perfect antagonist for Saul Goodman since they're both smart guys who like to talk a lot
lalo is alive during breaking bad.... when walter and jesse hijacked him in season 2, saul asked them if lalo send them.
Mike's gonna take Lalo out
@@firgasz2920 doesn't mean he's alivr
@@firgasz2920 He could still be Saul's antagonist in season 5. Antagonists don't always die at the end.
Saul helps Gus or Nacho to send Lalo to Belize and he blames Nacho, so he kills two birds with one shot. That's my theory.
It's amazing how perfect every single actor fits their role better than anyone else could
Exactly! They all behave like their characters!
Ceiling drop caught me by surprise. Its the most comical yet the best thing they had ever done in BCS.
I never thought i'd say this...But for me: Season 4 and 5 are actually a bit better than Breaking Bad. I did not know that was possible, especially Season 5!
JD182 Explain how its Better than Breaking bad
I agree that the tension created in previous season's episodes is paying off huge now. They build up Lalo like a charming super-villain. And there is a point of no return for Saul. Everything is spiraling organically but at brutal pace. A simple take away from Gustavo's workers became a suicide move. The courthouse payment turned into an epic journey of the same level of No Country for Old Men. We now understand better the deeper hate moving Gustavo's empire of evil. I just can say that the writing of this season is meticulously rich and smart. Much more than Breaking Bad's best season in my opinion.
Agreed
@@deviloushdemon12 because of lalo, he is a better final boss

Jonathan Banks, you're a badass.
seriously! Why is no one talking about that gum scene where he escapes Lalo?
I was absolutely blown away by that trick
@pyropulse you're probably not even old but I bet you're weaker than him lol
@pyropulse also he's a great actor and plays his character perfectly, that makes him a badass in my book
Tony Dalton y su personaje de Lalo, le han dado un giro extraordinario a BCS.
Lalo is just too charismatic damn 🔥
After 10 years of character buildup he could might as well turn water into wine and I wouldn’t care
This scene is a good show how Mike and Lalo have different morals even when their trade is the same. It was clear Mike was not going to waste that kid to get the information he needs but Lalo has no constrains hindering him from getting to his objective.
I loved his jump to Saul's car, it was so smooth.
Lalo: Show me what you show him
Worker: I cant , im sorry
Lalo: I'll be back!
*Comes from the ceiling
tony dalton is a moviestar name !!!
Every time I see his name in the credits, my brain reads it as "Timothy Dalton," and I'm like...that's kind of an odd choice for a guest star in this show.
Lalo is
The MEXICAN version of
Saul Goodman.
Both talkative
Both Cunning
Both Deceiptful
Only lalo has a better car than Saul 😂
Saul Goodman has some morals
Lalo has none
Also Lalo kills people. A lot
And now Saul doesn't have a car!
Lalo is to BCS what Fring was to BB
There is nothing I don't like about BCS other than its ending soon. It's perfection that we will sorely miss once it concludes.
Jonathan Banks is so good!
Seeing mike talk is weird I can’t believe he’s a normal person. He plays his character so well.
this part felt like a suspense/horror movie
Lalo is so damn cool, keeps me on my toes
God I love this show. I wish there were more episodes, though I recognize that would mean a dilution of quality.
The scene where he crawled in the ceiling had me dying laughing
It shocks me that something like a bunch of foam cups and plywood with a thin mat on top could provide the safe landing needed. That's incredibly creative engineering.
im really having trouble figuring out why everyone thinks this is so impossible... go do some cardio or something
Yeah it’s actually based on a real robbery where someone did the exact same thing but no cushions.
I mean, the thing that I'm trying to understand is how he went up, not down
oh, and how was he so quick
It's impossible to land the way he did and not hurt yourself, if it were real life he wouldn't come down essentially standing up straight hed bend his knees and most likely touch the floor with both hands
@@GERPITO3000 I used to work at a restaurant... I was able to get from the outside parking lot to the 2nd floor roof in 6 seconds. Lalo is tall and athletic. Also, this is a TV show.
hahahah this scene was epic
Lalo is Sam Fisher Splinter Cell
Who realized Lalo is left-handed?
Seeing how this has had impact further in the story is so amazing.
how does this action have an impact ?
Lalo gets arrested for the murder, asks saul to get him out, he fails so lalo kills kim as a revenge
Never thought about the relevance of this episode 4.10 . Now it all makes sense.
The mike character is awesome. Thanks Jonathon
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BREAK THE MOLD YOURE ON THIS SHOW FOR 12 YEARS
Hope they were thinking about the environment using all those cups!!
Kidding on, I'm not a mad environMENTAList
Lalo and Tuco combined Salamanca will be a formidable force
Spider Lalo!
Are you telling me that a man just happens to fall like that! No he orchestrated it VINCE!
So this new Lalo character is basically somewhere between the T1000 and a Xenomorph. That's cool, I can go with that.
The beauty of Lalo is that we know he's a badass....and we know he's not coming out alive. Gus and Mike are gonna win this fight and Lalo is ending up in the dirt. Would be fun if the one to bury him is Mike. But it could be Nacho
how do you know he will die? we dont know if gus knows about Lalo
toni h. Gus met Lalo! He knows. And Lalo is not in Breaking Bad. He’s not there when Tuco dies and he doesn’t meet Hector after that. So either he is gone or dead. Pick your choice.
@@SwaggerMcYolo It's confirmed that he dies since Gus managed to tell Hector that he would be the last of the salamanca blood
Such a charismatic character ❤👌
What is the point of him crawling into the ceiling real fast just to drop down and point the gun at him and do what he did? Why not just skip the whole ceiling part? lol...seems so unnecessary.
He wanted to get the drop on him.
lalo, the mexican ace ventura. natural charisma. should do a comedy.
There are no blooper/gag reels of Mike.....because Mike never makes mistakes.
I like Mike.
People in the future will look back at this series and say wow.
Funny how he really look like a Dalton from lucky Luke
This scene... i laughed so loud! :-D
But it was weird in a very special way.
They should have make a spin off with Mike, Gus and the Cartell and Saul as a seperate series.
So many strong characters like Lalo who deserve a spin off on their own. All this potencial!
I think the show would be way better if it was like that. Instead of didcating like 90% of the first 3 seasons about fucking Chuck and the fuckery between him and Jimmy
No more spinoffs... Dont be ridiculous
do you know why breaking bad was only 5 seasons? because the people in charge know that milking a show is the best way to ruin it. look at walking dead... 9 seasons, still gonna be more... i cant wait for it to end... i dont even want to watch it anymore, im just invested at this point.
Finally 1 person i can relate to
Well... Vince Gilligan said that he would like to have more spinoffs in the future.
You're all correct. Breaking Bad was perfect with 5 seasons and more spinoffs are not necessary now. But Better Call Saul feels like 2 spinoffs in one. That's the problem.
Lets be honest: Most of us were totally hyped for more Gus content and stories about the cartell. Sauls story doesn't fit here so well. They should have make 2 spinoffs out of BCS. Gus, Lalo, Tuco, Mike and Nacho... I would love to have a whole series with such strong characters but the producers put them within another. That's sad because the Breaking Bad universe is really unique and very entertaining.
But you can't get goat milk out of a cow... ;-)
And sometimes when I've watched BCS, I didn't know what I'm watching...
Lalo vented. He is sus. Vote Lalo.
Lalo is the Mexican "Fall Guy". He had two great jumps in this series with no fall back. One also on Saul's abandoned car.
lalo is so fine ohmygerd
