Farideh is in her actual home kitchen making chicken and waffles, a brunch (or anytime) treat you can make for yourself. For this recipe, requested by popular demand, she demonstrates how to make crunchy fried chicken, sweet and crispy waffles, plus a boozy bourbon maple syrup.

I used to go to a place that had cheddar, green onion waffles with fried chicken and jalapeno gravy. They closed.

You know, you can infuse jalapeno into oil very easily, and mixed with that bourbon and maple syrup it'd be fucking awesome.
Or just puree the jalapenos.

This was the first episode of The Cooking Show I ever saw and thought "what is this?" Then I saw the episodes before quarantine in the test kitchen and was all like "ohhhhh"

Farideh, the waffles they have at ski slopes are belgian leige (sugar) waffles, and they are DELICIOUS. The sugar crystals get all crunchy on the outside of the waffle, and then they drizzle chocolate all over...it's almost as good as a beer at the end of a ski day.
