Ive been telling my wife for a couple weeks now I need to make some chicken and waffles. Now im definitely doing this, this video was a sign from above that this needs to happen.
The best thing i had for brunch in my hometown of Fl, was a fried chicken benedict. It was sooooo good.

I just had chicken and waffles for the first time in my life (37) and it was an out of this world. I'm Irish so it's not a normal item on a menu to see. Absolutely gonna try this. Looks delicious. May have to cheat a little with bought waffles as I'm not ready to commit to a waffle pan 😅

John, We loved Roscoes when we lived in LA… their waffles had a hint of what I think was nutmeg… SO Good! There’s not much I miss about LA..but Roscoes is one thing I do..

Marinating is pretty useless, especially if you use any sauce on the final product. Seasoning the breading is more than enough. Stop trying to use chicken breast

So, I went shopping. I am in the aisle and I see this woman walking down, carrying a huge thing of Krispy Kreme Donuts, some Tates Chocolate Chip Cookies and a huge package of bacon.
I go to her: "Looks like you have the perfect meal there."
She goes back to me: "It's my brother's birthday! So, what I am gonna do..I am going to make scrambled eggs and bacon...and make it into a sandwich between two Krispy Kreme donuts..."
My response: "You are The Coolest Sister on the Planet!!!"
Then, about 20 minutes later I was checking out. She passed by, carrying her treasures and I go to my cashier....
"See that lady? That is The Coolest Sister on the Planet!!!"
And then I told her all about her Krispy Kreme sandwich with scrambled eggs and bacon. The cashier looked at me and said, "That is The Coolest Sister on the Planet!!!"
which, you know, to me is a kinda Chicken and Waffles, variation on a theme, with just a different protein and a different pastry.
Anyway, that lady was The Coolest Sister on the Planet!!!"

I've never had waffles with chicken and syrup. Where I grew up, waffles were most likely served with chicken and gravy.. It was one of our more common meals after church because it is quick to get on the table. My husband grew up with waffles and syrup and never chicken gravy. Chicken and waffles with syrup seems like a tasty compromise.

If you want some extra pizzazz, you can add bourbon to your maple syrup. If you want things G rated, simply heat the mixture in a saucepan to cook out the alcohol.

Not a fan of salty sweet. The proliferation of salted caramel turns my stomach. But that chicken looks good. I'd make both of these recipes, just not together.

Hi John, have you ever thought of buying a wok as it works wonders for deep frying as well as for stir fry and even steaming? Actually buy one out of a kitchen supply store like in Chinatown as these have the carbon steel woks.

You can use anything, hell you can even put a steak on it. It just matters if you like it
