- Trawling through some old usage stats I found a correlation that revealed an extremely cursed set. How will this bad set fare at the bottom of the OU ladder?
I haven't hit the ladder in a while and don't have many good games to show for it, as well as being hella preoccupied with things other than Showdown. Gen 8's meta has been kinda wild both pre and post DLC, and somehow half the crown tundra meta has been banned in the two months since these games lmao.

So you get copycat final gambit coming from a 600 HP 'mon? I don't like FG victini because turning a game into 5v5 is a bit of a silly meme if your opponent has a remotely well-constructed team then they can just sac the one 'mon that has a bad matchup against yours, but the Blissey busting out the second FG sounds absolutely savage.

EDIT: I found the video I originally found the set in (ruclips.net/video/6cN6r6q8N6Y/видео.html). I remember unironically running it (along with a semi-complimentary team) for like weeks back when I was starting out in Showdown- it was surprisingly effective (presumably because I was near the bottom of the ladder).

as someone who doesn't play much pokemon, and nearly zero pvp in it, i do not get this video at all
blissey is a really tanky pivot with amazing special defense that can get into alot of special attacks, sponge the hit and teleport into other mons
so usually you'd see her running boots to freely switch in and no offensive power, generally only seismic toss so you would not need to out stats in offense and make her as defensive as possible, teleport as we said before, soft boil to heal back up and something like toxic to not make her completely passive
there isn't really much variant with how blissey is played
so seeing a scarf on her, an item which gives you +1 speed but limits you to using only 1 type of attack until you switch her out, item which mainly see usage on revenge killers who need the extra speed to pick off mons, is not a very common sight, considering her abysmal speed and underwhelming offensive stats (despite a great movepool)

Blissey is a pokémon most known for being an absolute chonker; her massive HP and solid defenses make her a pain to kill, but she's slow and doesn't have much offensive power at all, so Blissey usually relies on support moves and status effects to be meaningful in combat beyond being a damage sponge.
What Kierany9 did instead was make a meme of a set involving Choice Scarf, which gives the holder a 1.5x speed boost at the cost of forcing them to repeat the same move until they're switched out, and gave her an *offensive* setup instead of a defensive one, involving offensive stat investments and... Copycat. Copycat repeats the last move performed, regardless of whether the copycat would ordinarily be able to use the move.
People expect defensive Blisseys, especially since Kierany's team would make sense with a defensive Blissey, but suddenly they're faced with a meme setup and their gameplan goes wrong.
