I really hope this video holds up and was worth the wait! I don't see myself taking on a video of this scale again for quite some time, admittedly I wasn't having fun by the end of it, and having so many other ideas for things pop into my head while I had to focus on this was killer. Expect some smaller scale sillier stuff in the future, I think I've earned a 20 minute video on one move or a video ranking NU mons based on how they'd behave in an airport if their flight was delayed. @@AronFigaro I don't think it's estrogen (yet), as that would cause some noticeable quirks with their voice. It's probably months of working on their makeup and style for maximum charm and stylin.
Glad to see how well this turned out, going through RBY's source code is definitely not the easiest thing in the world (and I definitely made some mistakes with my first analysis of the code) but mistakes like that happen. I want to give a huge shoutout to the community at pret that put in the herculean amount of effort to disassemble the code so I could even begin to try finding these results in the first place, and to the people in the speedrunning discord that caught and corrected my initial mistakes when trying to do a deep dive on this. When I have time later, I'd like to look at other random events (like the number of wrap turns and the number of times a multihit move hits) and see how they are affected by the RNG being weird (mainly in terms of damage rolls), but I think I've gone through the most important ones that I could find. If anyone has any questions about how the RNG works, feel free to ask me and I'll try to respond whenever I can.
As someone who was following Yellow's work on this video as it was made, between the meta updating and outdating certain things after they'd been edited, to the numerous rendering headaches, it's super cool to see this video finished. Great work as always Funny Yellow!
