Another great use for Worlds, is to partition lights for TV studios or areas within a studio. If you are using a console to control say, three studios of lighting, you can build the worlds for each space to keep separate and from accidentally writing fixtures from one space into the other. Say, weather set, vs news desk, or ect.

Yes - that’s a good point - kind of the same approach to making a larger tv show with multiple programmers 👍

Also any info on how to create a flicker effect, like a fire or broken lamp etc would be great

These videos are always amazing & helpful!
I’m still just trying to figure out the 3D world 😂.
Would you ever consider doing an in depth tutorial on how to make custom 3D on the MA?
Thanks again for always making great content @Event-Lighting

Great Video. I'm used to MA2 and thanks to you the switch to 3 is not that complicated. Feels more like an advendture 😋(and now i can try Thomas Koppers way of World based control of things 😇 that concept hooked me). By the way - great Merch! 😁

Hello! Always great videos, I'm struggling with an older issue and can't find help on it anywhere! When patching in anything with multiple pixels, like titan tubes, with more than one pixel i.e 8/16 - they patch in fine but when assigning them to the layout view, they are un-usable. If I assign for example 1001 it just looks as though it's fully on and I can't adjust any setting. I have to assign "1001.1" then .2 .3 .4 etc then each pixel will be assigned separately but surely there is a better/proper way of assigning all the individual pixels of one single fixture to the layout view? You can't 1001.1 thru 1001.8 as this doesn't work. On Ma2 you simply stored the main fixture ID and it would put in every separate pixel as it's own little icon that is controllable. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Just watched the Video of Thomas about his showfile. Saw him using Worlds as Groups to filter. Can you explain how he did his Color/FX Bumps ? He started explaining how ist Works but drifted away :/

How can i use world to filter what fixture are in my fx (recipe) / if i have a recipe with multiple line ( my group1/group2/group3 ) and i filter world with a world that have only my group1. the Fx will run on the 3 group and no be filter.

If you filter the sequence with a world (group 1), it should only affect Group 1 I would say. If you set the output filter to a world only containing your group 1 fixtures it should work. Let me know it it doesn’t. 😀

I feel like I'm at such advantage like the middle man in a room observing an argument. ETC vs GrandMA.. I use EOS ETC ionXE lighting console at work for theater productions and GrandMA on PC for live busking music... for me it's so funny EOS update a new software feature and then 3 weeks later there is much better and broader version implemented into Grandma , then 3 months later ETC bring out something that grandMA have though of and cause Iv spent time using this feature in MA its like okay I got it I get what they are trying to do here and short of understand what these EOS guys are trying and my boss and colleague are like this just came out today. How are you able to understand its functionally so fast. Then I call ETC support day after the patch drops and I'm like hi I have some question about this new update and no lie this guy thought I was asking for where the button was or syntax to input on my command line ..But I actually give them advice how it should work and explain 25 mins on phone how it works on MA and the guys at ETC are like this has only been added we need more feedback and its still in development and we are pushing this further

Interesting to hear about ETC. I have personally never used it myself, but to my understanding it dominates the US theater marked. I would like to know more about it to compare the functionality of the two consoles.
