Today at work I needed to change an adress on a fixture far up and we had no access any more to it, so everyone said to me "use RDM" and i asked what is it... "You don't know what it is?!"... So a quick look at your video explained me everything and i feel less of a caveman now, thanks alot.

I made a macro to turn off RDM and set the ports to out after 15 minutes as I kept forgetting to turn it off!

Went back to this video today because I saw in the dialog a "Match" button to match the RDM device to a patched fixture, but you don't mention it. I would have expected the RDM fixture to sync up with the patched fixture, but nothing happened.
Do you know what this feature is supposed to do?

What if I'm in FOH and im using a 100 ft cat 5 snake from my console to BOH node , does RDM work with sCAN ?

RDM only works on ma net and artnet. It can work on Elation's new nodes that run artnet down their sACN but that is a unique thing for them.
