Regarding the section on using macros to assign information in recipie lines. Why would you need to go through a seemingly lengthy process to input information that can be done quickly by clicking on the relevant window and choosing the required group / preset? Same with fade / delay times etc, surely the quickets way is to type the value straight into the cell?
Thank you for this video. The issue you talked about with instances and the Mac Aura’s not outputting until you had both instances selected, I actually feel Ike this is a bug. I have some Auras and they work in real life the way you had them to begin with, it is just in the MA3D that they don’t work. You have to select both instances (face and wash) to get them to work in MA3d. But I often don’t want both on in real life so I have been living with MA3d not working, but it working correctly in my rig. I would love your thoughts on this aspect of it.
There is no question that MA 3D and real life should be the same in my view. But intensity is only part of it. My experience is that it might output light, but your colors and other stuff is not working correctly. When you think of what happens In the console it kind of makes sense to me that it has to be like that. 😀
Hello I have a question for the Listreference command line. Can you create a macro that avoids writing Listref in the command line? when I do Listref in a macro line and I do go. The macro displays the Listref and 5301 Slot for all references. Thanks for your help
Well I guess it’s because it’s waiting for input on what you want to list. Listref won’t work on its own. You need to give it more info. And if you don’t, it will leave Listref in the command line.
@@Event-Lighting so we need to do several macros for example: listref sequence, listref preset, . the command does not work like the search command on software 2 in macro. I'm not talking directly in the command line thanks !
Hi. Thanks for another video. I'm always curious what I've missed so far with GMA3:) A question: does it bother you, that "mother" instances always indicate they are at full no matter what their actual intensity is? Best to see in a layout or in fixture sheet.
You are more than welcome 😀 Well yes and no because it’s kind of correct that it indicates that it’s on. It’s just depending on another instance to actually be on. So if the mother fixture is indicating that it’s on at full - that is kind of correct I guess 🤷♂️
@@Event-Lighting Yeah it is not from my point of view. Dimmer value says it is zero, it has "parent" control over child's intensity and then - graphical reference is confusing, especially if you use layouts as much as I do. Libraries converted from GMA2 don't have this flaw.
Thanks again. Just the things I wanted to ask😊.
That’s GREAT 😀👍
Always relevant tips and tricks from you! 🙂 Thanks!
Thanks for being here 🙏😀

how to search fixture, where were used (in MA2 it was "search") - listref for fixtures isn't working
Best video ever!! ❤❤
