  • In this video I will show you GrandMA3 MVR import and how easy it is to change your local lighting rig. If you have used GrandMA3 recipes to program your show, changing your lighting rig is very fast and much easier that you are used to on other consoles.
The need for cloning fixtures is completely different in GrandMA3 because you don’t need to clone every fixture, and or think about how they are going to react in your show.
The GrandMA3 recipe programming together with cloning presets will make you introduce a new lighting rig with new fixtures into your show in no time.
Using the options of Global and universal presets in GrandMA3 makes it very simple to clone information, and the prediction of how your show will react after the cloning process is now very easy to understand.
I will show you the GrandMA3 cloning process I use, and I will show you a simple GrandMA3 macro with 2 variables I use to make my cloning in seconds.
I think that the MVR “My virtual rig” is part of an easier future when it comes to programming stage lighting shows, and it opens up for a simpler way to program GrandMA3 using recipes, that are much easier to understand for people that have never programmed complex stage lighting shows before

I'm wondering why do you use Blind in your macro? Why not do it without Blind for example?

I'm sorry but what button do you use at 4:57 cause when I open import it just adds new fixtures, I don't know how to add data to existing MVR ones like you show here. Thanks!

Click the library tab under the search box. it defaults to a tab called show and thats where the dummy fixtures are.
