Honestly as a Kings fan I also have no idea what's going on. All of our metrics, advanced stats and everything look great, our record is almost entirely contingent on whether or not the 3 ball went in. With Kevin and Keegan forgetting how to shoot (they've been really good from 3 over the last like 3 games) the team has looked really bad. The fit with DeMar is good and I think he contributes a lot to helping the offense even though I think the team is worse defensively with him on the floor.
Kings fan here. Like you said we are top five in the league in FG% but bottom 10 in 3pt %. Kings 6th in ORTG and 10th in DRTG with a 3.2 NRTG. The whole issue is our elite 3pt shooters have been some of the worst not only on the team but in the entire league. This prompted Mike Brown to put Monk in the starting role and have Huerter as the 6th man. Over the last 5 games this adjustment has been great phenomenal for both players and the team. The team has also been injury ridden but are getting healthy leaving only Trey Lyles and Devin Carter out with injuries. As for Demar he’s looked his most comfortable these past 5 games as well. He’s done well offensively because of who he is but in the start of the season you could tell he needed time to play with this starting roster to gel more. I feel like he’s 85% of the way there and it’s elevated the whole offense. Keegan had taken a step back from offense with forgetting how to shoot 3s all together and has excelled defensively. If this team plans to make the post season then Keegan needs to average 15-20 while sustaining his defense. The Kings biggest enemy has always been consistency so we will see if they can keep it up over the upcoming stretch of games.

Ive been kinda vocal about this in discord but its hard for me to see jimmy butler getting traded or leaving the heat. His contract is huge (48 mil and has player option) + age factor. Then if we talk free agency the only team with significant cap space is brooklyn which that aint happening so either jimmy leaves for significantly less or comes back via player option or less money (dont believe heat can sign and trade due to apron)
