Try these small tweaks to get more realism in Microsoft Flightsimulator 2020

By tweaking the graphic settings in MSFS2020 you can create more realism in the sim. I this video I will show you how to get 4K shadows and color grade the VR image in the headset.

I tested the OpenXR Settings with the Quest 3, the colors are so much better now! That was the final thing that was missing. Perfect flying now. Thanks for this!

Nice vid, sounds like you're Dutch as well ;) I just got a this video as suggestion and it's funny since I'm currently redoing all the cockpit gauges/textures from scratch for a bit more real and more crispy look in VR. Especially in VR you notice it if quality is a bit different between instruments etc. so thought I draw all from scratch.

Thanks for the video. Are you using NVidia Experience and Open XR or just open XR for this set up?

Thank you John. I just use openXR for this setup. The nvidia filters don't work in VR, as they only color grade your monitor, not the VR goggles.

Theres a lot of these 4k shadows tweak videos on youtube at the moment but no-one goes into much detail about the hit on frame rates - in VR or flat screen. How did you find it? Any performance loss?

I haven't notice any performance loss. Just try it, if you don't like it, just reset it to your normal settings in the siom. :)

Its excellent. I have had mine 4 days, total game changer. However, in its use with VDXR and Airlink, it cannot help improve image quality vs. link cable. But as a 5hz wifi band, it is really excellent. Remember, wifi 6 is not 6hz, it is 5hz. 6e is 6hz.
