Zion and Wemby have crazy potential, but 19yr old lebron was just something else man. Look at the speed, athleticism, and instincts he had at 6’8. We can only hope to see something like him again once he retires. And being that social media is so prevalent these days, we will know if another Lebron is on the rise by his sophomore year of high school.
@@Nine5Vader Zion is just a normal guy, banging instagram thots, having illegitimate children, eating himself to death. Lebron, mentally, was just a different guy. A lot more maturity and focus, and a vision for what he wanted. Just think about his career if he hadn't reuped with shitty Cleveland after the 1st four years. They wasted 7 years of his career bringing in Mo Williams and Antwan Jamison. That is what is shocking. He was literally put in the worst situation in league history as no team was as bad as the Cavaliers from 1990 to 2003. They had the worst ownership, were the worst destination for free agents, and had the worst players when he showed up. Some guys like Duncan or Durant get drafted by momentary bad teams with historic success...Cleveland had no success, no history of championships...he had to overcome that and Dan Gilbert, who is a criminally inept leader and owner.
Imagine the hype, intimidation, expectations and hatred as a rookie up to now and overcoming and defying all odds, I’m proud being Lebron’s fan since day 1.
They all had to deal with a 19yr old coming into the league already being compared all time greats without a single dribble. This rubbed a lot of veteran players who had pride and had to swallow that ego because before day 1 this was already the Bron show. With todays hype machine its tough to explain how much clout Bron had as a senior in HS.
The thing with Lebron was it was obvious he was ready to play in the NBA from day one. You dont pass on a talent like that and put him thrugh the haze system. Jealousy is a real thing and out of all people, vbeterans need to understand better than anyone else that talent is talent and there is nothing you can do about it, except for nurture it and not deliberately try to kill it and destroy it. They are called PROFFESIONALS for a reason. Them acting like some high school drama class queens just goes to show how unproffesional they were to begin with and why the Cleveland were in a position to even have a number 1 pick. I am glad humble Europeans like Jokic are dominating the league now because American players have been acting out like primadonas for too long. The NBA became a me me me first sport instead of a team sport where every player contributes. Theres a story where the bulls loss and the team nonchalantly didnt care except Joakim Noah, who was crying and yelling in the locker room. Point is some players actually care about winning
Noah really wanted to play with LeBron. I think he would have given his all to play with Bron. When LeBron turned him down and went to the Heat Noah was furious and really cried giving way to his hatred for LeBron. He said that that was the reason he despised LeBron
The thing is theres caring theres also immaturity and lack of control. Noah was a fan favorite for his passion and emotion, but that also shows up in negative ways.

Kobe as well. The difference between Kobe and LeBron is that LeBron wants people to like him, so I'd imagine he handled his situation better. You forget that Miles was just a dumb 21 year old kid at the time. So was Boozer. They'd been the best player at every level before getting to the NBA and then suddenly found themselves struggling. They just couldn't imagine that Lebron would be different. They were also just entering their peaks so natually they wanted to be "the guy", but now they were told that some kid out of high school who hadn't played an NBA minute was going to be "the guy". How his teammates treated him is literally the prime example of the Lebron hater mentality. There’s resentment to begin because of the hype for some people so from there it’s easy to create a narrative Lebron is bad if you’re only looking at his flaws because you want to tear him off the pedestal. Today you rarely see any nba players hating on him because they know how hard it is to win and dominate in the league themselves so they’d be fools to diss someone doing more than them.
They also know that he basically controls all the contracts and FA in the flopping friends league and to double team him or complain about how often he travels and flops is basically like making plane reservations to Siberia where your career will end up as a consequence. Why should your team's top player accept a lesser role and the entire chemistry of the team revolve around an overhyped rookie? MJ and Wilt didn't get afforded this luxury right away, unlike Lecheat; they had to actually earn it.

Unfortunately, jealousy is a part of human nature. People will always hate the top guy anywhere in life. Never expect everyone to congratulate you for your success.
This is a little different though... It's what separates lovers vs winners esp in team atmosphere. Losers aren't willing to change what isn't working and out for self even at the detriment of the team. Whereas, winners are able to assess and make necessary changes to thrive, even if it involves a lesser role themselves for benefit of the team. I agree with your last sentence whole heartedly though.

This may sound crazy but the most talent LeBron ever had during his first Cleveland stint was his rookie year. If they had just bought in and understood he was the one they may have had the building blocks for a championship team. There was nobody brought in the 6 years after his rookie season that was more talented than Ricky Davis, Carlos Boozer, Pre knee injury Darius Miles and DeJuan Wagner. The only thing trading them away did for LeBron was force him to be Superman without another bucket getter.
@@xaviervega468 Because they were losers. You can be talented and still lose because of selfishness and a lack of culture. That entire team as a whole (minus Igauskas) was a bunch of me-first players who were never going to let LeBron lead them because of jealousy.
I always say this. Dejuan had a great rookie season it’s just that the Cavs never expected to be in the position to draft Lebron. Once they did , the fact the basically played the same position early on took him out of the team plans. Changed the whole trajectory of his career. I know he had some stomach issues but had he had his own team they would’ve been more willing to see him through to healing & becoming the player they expected Dejuan to be when drafted. But boy was definitely his city before Lebron as a pro. Should’ve gave them a chance to play together. After Dejuan was traded noone was looking at him like the Cavs were when they first drafted him by that point. & health issues. It’s was over with. Let him stick around a couple years to get a couple more checks.
Darius Miles is a perfect example of someone who wasn’t good enough to come straight out of high school. Maybe if he went to college for 2 years he’d develop into his potential. That era had way too many hoopers entering out of hs and most were massive busts.

Young Lebron was crazy and fun to watch. Sometime around "the decision" to go to the Heat is where I started disliking his leadership and style though. He's an all-time great for sure, but that aspect kind of ruined it for me. Seeing him go from a super baller high schooler that took a horrible team and built them up to the finals in a few years, only to jump ship to make a super team in Miami, while simultaneously getting cocky and seeming to get worse cardio from bulking and ego stopping his defensive energy, kind of wrecked it for me. But, I've never seen anyone get so hyped at such a young age and so immediately over-deliver on that promise

Today you rarely see any nba players hating on him because they know how hard it is to win and dominate in the league themselves so they’d be fools to diss someone doing more than them.

Look how Kareem was able to get that many points.. what age, year in the league and what was his avg his last two seasons? LBJ breaking it and surpassing it shows he has a lot of help doing it.. And his energy is not like Dennis Rodman's energy.. because if it was.. he would be playing Defense on high level as well and that was never the case except in Miami. So understand.. LBJ didnt earn his respect if his teammate truly felt like that.. coming from Highschool, not even college.*
Psalm 23:5 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Imagine if they all accepted and nurtured rookie Bron … They definitely would’ve had a shot 👋😩👉🚪
Poor dude wasted his prime on a trash team
bcos they were jealous of him and knew, somehow, that he was going to be something. special..

*Yet that was there 2nd best player, who could still get his stats just by being number two. Yet they traded him and never got a great number two again.. they had a good one, but they diminished his ability to be the number two and said he wasn't good enough to be next to LBJ. So everyone ran with the narrative that LBJ never had great players until Miami.. nonsense..*
People hate LeBron to a degree that is so insane. Y’all will dismiss a guy putting up 23 ppg in 75+ games and say he was a bad teammate because he did coke but y’all look at an 18+ guy who made pretty much public knowledge that he was wrestling for hierarchy from the phenom and say Bron is the bad teammate
@@imaniberrios59 listen you can have your little fantasy and blanket statements. When you get into reality maybe we can have a discussion
reality, oh okay...and Ricky Davis is a standard by which good or bad teammates are judged lol
@@shaft9000 you’d have a point if Ricky even called Bron out by his name. The worst thing he had was Bron didn’t always pass him the ball. Ricky issue was Cavs FO. The guy just documented that the cavs were surprised by LeBron acceptance to being rookie hazed. All Ricky did was believed he was the better player. He was wrong but he has a right to feel that way and just because he felt that way doesn’t make LeBron a bad teammate. What makes it worse you have IT and Crowder that’s really it to guys who have publicly not like LeBron. Two guys who barely played with him
@@MrSlashbladeWhy is that guy so weird?
@@imaniberrios59talk about it
8:20 if your wondering why cavs fans/nba purest hated this dunk it was because Ricky Davis decided to a in between legs dunk while down by 20 with 22 seconds left on the clock.
Oh bro had the Jordan poole mentality 😂
And the hate continues... although it will always be a backhanded compliment
Same sentiment. Lebron James is already a billion times better as a David than Goliath. That's when he peddles himself to the metal the most, when he's forced to carry bad teams, that's when he's at his actual best...
That Cavs team when Bron was a rookie was trash. Losers in every way. I dont know why Davis thought that the Cavs were fine with losing year after year. When they drafted Bron is when they started filling those seats in that arena and fans started getting hyped up. Bron was home grown, one of them.
Same as the spurs with wemby
Bron was 18 with them millions nuff said 😂😂😂
This is what Wemby is dealing with currently.
He is? Isn't that Spurs team loaded with young players ?
Wemby averaged the most shots per game while being on a minutes restriction most the year.
@@frankiethefrog1752 did you see how long ago I posted this?
Man imagine if the Cavs built a better team around him. Maybe all those trips to the finals bron could’ve won more
I just realised that LeBron's been in the league so long that there were still guys from the '80s playing when he was drafted.
And i feel the same way happening right now with wembanyama at spurs.
His teammates seem to deliberately ignore him in the game and not pass him ball for an easy bucket.
😂 I'M SO GLAD THEY GOT RID OF THEM EVEN LETTING BOOZER GO .
Similar stuff going on right now with Wemby...
Great video. Found myself halfway through without realizing because it was so good. Got my like and my subscription.
Also, I agree I believe Wemby is being treated like this nowadays. Talent and greatness speaks for itself and in the business of basketball if there is a phenom, get out of the way or get with it.
Ilgauskas stayed with the Cavs a long time because he was good and also acknowledged LeBron's status.
Vets being pissed because the number 1 pick was going to get as many reps as possible, in a tanking team is so out of touch with reality man.
This sounds like how Wemby is getting treated now with the spurs!
