Dear Daphna, thank you very much for your video and your motivation. I am a 67 old german woman, retired, and moved alone to the South of France 5 years ago. Some weeks ago I startet my youtube channel and my videos are not yet so good as I wanted. But I began...some people clicked on it, but very rarely. I asked myself if it was better to do them in English, but my english isn't perfect, so I remain in German. The youtube journey isn't easy at all, but I like doing what I do now. Thank you again for your inspiration.
Thank you so much Daphna, I m committing with myself that next time I will comment your video I will have my first video published. So see you soon 😘 merry Christmas 🌿
One of the best things about being in this platform is the community I have built up with other creators of our age. Thanks for reminding me about looking at my analytics too! 😀
Thanks Daphna. This video was very helpful. I’ve been frozen for the past year on starting my RUclips channel for all the reasons you describe. Next month I’m just going to do it. Thank you. Love your scenic b-roll as well. Take care 🫶
I’m thinking about starting but not sure about a topic but like you said most people I watch on RUclips have totally different topics than their beginnings. Thank you
Your English is amazing! Thank you for this invaluable information. You confirmed that I am on the right track. Wishing you all the best on your channel and relocating to Portugal! Cheers from NYC!
Thanks for sharing Daphna.Isn't life all about making mistakes and learning along the way 🙏 I'm almost there, when it comes to monetizing and looking forward to see how that will be. Wish you peaceful and happy holidays. Peace and love..
I absolutely love your videos and the journey you’re taking on your own. You’re such an inspiration, and watching you motivates me to start my own channel too. You’re a truly kind and amazing woman, and I hope one day I’ll have a friend like you. Keep shining and doing what you do!
👋 Hi Daphna - You're an inspiration for all of us over 50 content creators, thanks for sharing this. And congrats on your success. I'm so glad you kept going!
Thank you for this heartwarming and motivating video. I'm 54, live in the middle of nowhere, and make educational nature videos for just about anyone who loves nature and wildlife. I'm growing slowly but steadily (me and my channel) and met amazing people from around the world. I've learned so much in the few months I've been on this platform. It's been an incredible journey.
Love this! Thank you for the inspiration. I have over 100k followers between IG & FB & have not posted in a year. 😕 This video made me want to get back into the swing of things & also FINALLY launch my RUclips channel. Thank you!! 🙏🏼
❤❤❤ thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. Congratulations 🎊 on your amazing success too. As you said it has taken years and support from mentors etc
Love your videos Daphna! Thank you for the encouragement- I’ve created my content calendar for the first quarter, and my lighting, mic and new tripod arrive today. 2025 will be a year of growth and learning!
I’d definitely recommend that anyone who can create videos in English do so, because the potential audience is much larger, even though there is more competition
Great video…thank you for such informative video…every time I turn around RUclips’s algorithm is pushing everyone else videos but mine…I don’t understand…my videos are just as great as yours…I’m an African American intelligent woman and I work hard to gain subscribers, but I’m not gaining no where near that you have…anyway…congratulations on monetization…I’m gonna keep grinding. By the way…I just subscribed to your channel…keep going!
If you’re already working hard, then there must be another reason that the algorithm interprets your videos as not good enough to get a larger exposure. Working harder is not always the solution
@ First of all, when I said I work as hard, I meant I’m doing everything possible to gain subscribers such as consistency and quality videos. The algorithm may like something else in your videos than it does in mine. By the way, you could have said thank you to me for subscribing to your channel.
I promise you, my first channel completely flopped, so pretty privilege didn’t help me there. At the end of the day, it’s all about creating good content-beautiful or not. But thank you so much for your kind words
I love your work. You’re honest and down to earth. I’ve been on the fence about starting a channel. Definitely think I’m too much of a bumbling baboon but this video makes me think I may be able to do it somehow. Thanks
The title is a bit misleading. You never actually gave details on how you got to the point of monetising after only 9 videos?! Ive seen at least 10 videos saying the same thing but noting valuable. I guess that's what everyone does.. creating catchy titles with no value.

I love your encouraging message that RUclips isn't just for youngsters. It's so heartening that older people can shine too. Thank you, Daphna!

Did you listen to the whole video? She provided many tips.
I would have loved to hear your best tips 😇 but I could not stand the music you chose to loop in the background forever. Sorry.
What’s wrong with the music in the video? I’d like to understand what you mean. Could you please explain?
