This is a great format! Definitely do it again. Maybe pull in some kind of mystery/wildcard alternative movie for the fifth/final movie guessing so you can still guess a fifth movie against a random sixth one. :)
Loved it! Next time pick 7-8 movies each but only pick 5 to guess the reviews so you have some extras to throw you off and its not process of elimination.
This is was a nice change of pace in terms of content! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE your reviews, but I also love seeing this wholesome and more unique concept for the channel. In terms of structure, I feel like the last two films can be discussed one after the other and then you can solidify your responses for both sets of negative reviews. It’ll probably just make it feel more like you still have to guess regardless as to if the end of the video is approaching or not. It’s just a thought, but I was happy with the video either way.

Yeah, so to let y'all know, Kevin Smith asked a dispensary to grow out two marijuana strains to help promote his film. Mr Tusk and White Walrus. He openly admits he smoked A LOT while making this movie 😂 I personally think Michael Parks & Johnny Depp smoked a bunch right before two scenes in particular and were just told to "go for it" resulting in two of the most bizarre monologues I have ever witnessed in a horror movie. That review was spot on 🤷🏻♀️
Love it! You two are so great together. I love horror films but I honestly just love hearing you talk about them as well. When you bring you boyfriend on with you, makes it even more fun. Always a fan and always a subscriber.
Hereditary is garbage nothing happens on those shots that are held for far to long and it just doesn't make any sense and is also overwhelmingly boring

Reviewer: It's not even a Hansel and Gretel movie! Me, who had a fixation on folktales, Hansel and Gretel being one of them: Gretel and Hansel was the adaptation that was closest to the original so far (to my knowledge at least)? You don't have to like the movie at all (everyone is entitled to their own opinion after all) but, to say it doesn't tell the tale at all is blatantly false.
Ryan returns! 👏 Tusk was an easy one to guess. Especially with that "last 15 minutes" clue. My negative review of Tusk: Kevin Smith runs out of ideas and makes a film based on shock value. It's got Justin Long and Johnny Depp. Plus Haley Joel Osment. Everybody remembers him, right. Watch Tusk to at least see what he looks like as an adult. * I actually give Tusk 2.5/5
as a big kevin smith fan, ‘too much weed’ was a dead giveaway lol tusk is such a fun movie for me, always worth a rewatch, so it’s amusing reading reviews for it and realizing only a small portion of its audience feel the same way. loved the game!

This has to be the worst video you have ever done! I couldn't even concentrate on it because my daughters kept interrupting me with social media and boyfriend drama! Then my dog peed on the couch and I had to clean it up while the video was playing! Then after all those distractions, the fettuccine alfredo sauce I was making over thickened and burnt itself to the bottom of my tefal cooking pan! I had to bust out a hammer and chisel to get it off and ruined the non-stick surface! Then having no dinner I ordered pizza but the pizza guy came late! Terrible video! One and a half stars! Juuuust kidding! Actually, this video was lots of fun. Good job!

The Witch actually took place in the 1630s, not 200 years ago like one of you said at 19:25. So that makes that reviewer even more inaccurate when they wrote that the character’s would sound like modern Americans. You could possibly get away with saying that if the movie *did* take place 200 years ago in 1823, but in the 1630s? No way! That person has obviously never taken a class in American history. I enjoyed this video, hope you guys do more of these. Thanks!
Not to mention that a lot of the dialogue was taken directly from historical documents! Like, they literally used the exact language of the period, it couldn’t have been more accurate without the use of time travel. Some people just refuse to accept that other people know more than them about certain subjects
On The VVitch criticizing the language used: there is a theory (not sure who exactly believes it, but I heard it somewhere) that since our assumptions about their speech is based on writing, we actually only know what they would talk like in the most formal settings. Now, having read a journal from the time period, this seems very unlikely to me, but it is good to keep in mind some level of uncertainty when trying to understand the past.
Great video! My suggestion for modifications to this game would be to pick say, 5 movies and then pick one review from each movie and read out all the reviews at once so you have to guess which review matches which movie. Just a thought, I think that'd be fun.
I'm really lost on the criticism of fiction writers telling you about their stories. It's called marketing. It's one of the ways I find out about books I'm interested in.
The Hunt is hilarious and makes fun of both extremist political sides of extra sensitive liberals and ultra redneck conservative nutjobs. It is very violent, but I loved Betty Gilpin in it.
This was good. If you tell each other when they’re wrong, but not which movie was really being described then you won’t run into the problem of not being able to guess the last movie every time. Would like to see you do this again.
This was so fun! I think it would be cool (and hard, lol) if you did it so you picked movies for the other to guess without telling them what the choices are, so they have basically every movie to choose from. 😂
I want to say that I heard negative things about the Captive Estate before watching it last year. when I watch it I was shock of how good it is. I am still trying to understand how is that people didn't like a political science fiction movie with an original well written script.
