- How To Make Amazing Crepes At Home - the most delicious French pancakes! 🥞
The ingredients to make crepes:
1 cup all-purpose flour (150g / 5.3oz)
1/4 cup sugar (50g / 1.7oz)
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 large eggs
About 4 tbsp unsalted butter (50g / 1.7oz)
2 cups milk (500g / 17.6oz)
Dark rum 1 tbsp or 2 tbsp
Melted butter for coating the pan
My frying pan is 25 cm in diameter, which is approximately 10 inches.

But I have questions...
1. Can I use clarified butter for it?
And,2. Can it be cooked without rum?
1/4 cup of sugar??? for 1 cup of flour.

Great crepe for my breakfast this morning.
I reduce half of the ingredients for two seniors and I got 4 perfect crepes. Each crepe came out from 1/2 cup of the mixture, using 12 inches diameter pan. Thank you for showing the way you flipped it, leaving one of the spatula in the pan while flipping the thin crepe that helped me alot. Also, I don't like the egg's smell, adding rum the the ingredients solved my problem.👍👍👍

Scottsdale, Arizona here. My nanny would make these thin delights on Fridays for dinner. I believe she used vanilla rather than rum. A little butter in the center with maple syrup, roll them up in a log. Couldn't get enough of them, so delicious.

We use less eggs in our pan cakes (crepes). We fills it up with fine coconut boiled in sugar water until slightly sticky or caramel and bananas😊.

Thank you so much. I have been making crepes for years. I'm almost 80. My Mom made them and we just had them with butter and sugar. Oldest of 7 children in Chicago, couldn't afford much. I mix my batter in a Vitamix, but I will try your way, as the crepes look so light and fluffy. I make them with a cream chicken filling. (no sugar) But I add sugar and vanilla to the last few crepes, and fill with vanilla ice cream and berries. I now live in Gilbert, Arizona. I can't wait to make my crepes your way. God bless from AZ.

I live in Minnesota, USA, AND cousins in Norway. My Norwegian grandmother made almost identical Norwegian pancakes: 1 c. Flour, 1 c. Milk and 3 eggs. Maple syrup.

In my country this are called pancakes. For my taste your recipe has to many eggs (the egg taste is overwhelming), I also leave butter and sugar out and use 3/5 milk, 1/5 water, 1/5 mineral water ratio. The recipe has been passed down for generations. Nevertheless, thumbs up!

In my country, crépes are the really thin ones, and pancakes are the thicker fluffier ones
Crepes and pancekes is not same. For crepes you got different recipe than for pancakes.
Usually pancakes are those thicker ones but actually on our beachfront in Cape Town they sell crepes and call them pancakes which are actually crepes but most ppl can’t read around here so pancakes is what they call them.
Crêpes are not the same as pancakes . We use crêpes to prepare a dessert called Crêpe Suzette
To much eggs for 1 cup of flour, I have been making these for years 😂
