- The Honda Civic has always been that go to for affordable & reliable transportation. Under the hood is an inline-4 that produces 158 HP & mated to a 6-speed manual. The Civic Sport adds some extra suspension bits to help create better handling and response. The big question is, "with so many people buying SUVs can you use the Civic Sport Sedan like an SUV?" That’s why I love my civic, it always surprises me how much I can get into my car. There’s no reason to get a boring looking CUV when you can get a very sporty sedan

Excellent video as always! I stopped by the Honda dealership a few weeks ago and looked at a Civic with a manual transmission and really liked it. It's amazing at how much stuff you can put in a car that has fold down rear seats if you try and you don't always need an SUV..

Funny thing is the sport (and touring I think) model has less trunk space because of the center mounted exhaust. The floor of the trunk is higher than the other trims. I have the 2019 EX-L and I got 3 full hockey gear bags, sticks, and goalie pads in the car by only folding down the 40 side of the back seat. That left plenty of room for the 3 people wearing that gear to head to the rink. I seriously love the hell out of my Civic.
Glad I ran across this video as I struggle with the question of SUV vs. sedan. Nice job, 'hope to see more like this.
I will always love the civic. Great on gas mileage and love that it comes in a Manuel option.

I put my road bike in my 16 Civic ex sedan all the time. Just take the front wheel off and that is it. The trunk is just short of the Accord so it works. Just get some snow tires and their is your SUV for two people.

I just bought mine on Wednesday, She’s such a beauty. Only thing i would change are the headlights, I’d prefer LED’s.
i did the same, i changed the headlights to LED and the fog lights as well. Other than that this civic is a masterpiece!!
I actually prefer the halogens. I think LEDs are too bright. But the housing looks cool when the lights are off
I was glad that the SIs in the states come with the halogen housings

I just picked up a 2020 Honda Civic sport 3 days ago. I really like it but my two complaints are that it doesn’t have xm satellite or the flip down cup holders in the back.

It’s the cars class, the size is a compact car which means the tire is gonna be smaller, and as the tire gets smaller the rims start to look bigger.
The Civic Sport Hatchback is the more practical variant IMO Another good review

I live in Marysville, OH where these cars are built. See a ton of em driving around my area, I'd be more interested in one if they had more power, I easily outrun these cars from a stoplight in my E30 tuned FiST. But I will cede to you the fact the Honda is more of a grocery getter and has more interior room from what I see.
I drive down 33 to columbus occasionally for work. Marysville is literally hondaland. Every 5th car coming the other way is a civic. Hondas might be more common in that town than Fords in Detroit

I wished they offered apple car play on the base model that has 16’ tires, if you upgrade to the sport to get it you’ll have to get the 18’ tires and rims.........for the average buyer that’s not familiar with that size, there almost twice the price with shorter tread life. Just as an everyday driver, I’m not interested in paying 800-1000$ every 2-3 years for tires on an economic vehicle.

Does it look like it says “Honda Civic sport review”, because last i checked it’s called “How usable is the 2019 Honda Civic sport sedan?” Please excuse me if I’m coming off a bit rude but when people act stupid and rude at the same time it kinda pisses me off. I ride a late model LX often, lots of room, like the video shows, even my Chevy Cruze sedan did, but I think the Civic beats it. But the Hatchback edges it out if you have taller clearance items that won't fit under the rear shelf in the sedans. That's where the HR-V, CR-V, Passport, Pilot is needed. And the reason I think it would be a better choice for me to get the HR-V Sport, even though I like the Civic Sedan Sport much more. I may need that extra space at times...

It's the same space wise but no performance wise.
Limited slip differential, true sport mode that stiffens suspension steering and throttle response, turbocharged and makes more boost than the regular 1.5T civics, sunroof
Here is South Africa, Honda refuses to bring in any manual versions of the civic into the local (criminally overpriced) market. They say that there is no demand for them. Pity.
