I used to be afraid of takeoffs myself and had the same feeling growing up…Don’t judge a book by its cover. You don’t even know what she’s going through.
I remember leaving home/San Antonio for a work assignment in Hannibal Missouri. The connection was through IAH and the weather out of San Antonio was kind of bad but not too much for significant delay. The flight out Houston got delayed like I landed around 9am and my flight got pushed back so far that the takeoff didn't happen until around 845pm. Then once in the air we experienced the worst turbulence I'd ever felt. I was in first class with other frequent flyers and even they were gripping the seats. I've flown nearly 300 times since I started this job in 2022 and that was the absolute scariest thing I've experienced on an airplane and turbulence 99% of the time is something I ignore

Nice video. I didn't see anything scary. Light chop through cumulus clouds and precip. The worst of the weather to the east was avoided while the heavier precip to the south was crossed at higher altitude. I think most of the flashes were the strobe lights (white on wingtips and the red "beacon" on the fuselage). Hope MCO was fun!
The video title sure got my attention. But I saw no thunderstorm! Just one distant flash not long after the beginning. I would have loved to see actual lightning, which with thunder defines a real thunderstorm. I left the 11 minutes feeling very disappointed.
We try to avoid it how ever there are times we have to due to amount of air traffic. Lightning strikes can occur. Thats not yhe brst thing. If i give the green light then away we go
Did someone say “that does not sound right” referring to the engines noise? Cuz that’s exactly what they are supposed to sound like. Lol
Apparently she never heard the climb thrust set sound. Someone like her needs to drive everywhere because she sounds like she always want to be right.

Sounds like perfectly normal operating engines to my ears

If the captain says we’re ready to fly then it’s good no matter what.

I must have missed the part where there’s a thunderstorm lol. I saw light rain on takeoff and going through some clouds 🤷🏼♂️
This is a routine take off. Not all take offs are the same..

Severe you say? Where?
good video. you did not fly into or thru a severe storm.
Where is the scary part? Lol love takeoff videos!
Still waiting for it
Excellent buddy keep it up full flight videos.
More to come!
@@AviationManiakI have a question, Did you get struck by lightning during the entire flight or no?
I’ve flown in rain and snow but I’ve never flown in a thunderstorm
I cant stand those kids screaming in the background
they were likely having fun knowing the takeoff part was the fun segment of the flight.
Boohoo
Scary cosa??
Thats "climb thrust btw"
I missed the scary part.
When did this flight take place
