I've voted Libertarian many times over the years. This guy ain't getting my vote. Where's the beef? I guess, because I love America more than I hate Trump, I'll have to hold my nose and vote for the first time for the Orange Man!
This is a very intelligent person, we need people like this in office who can be honest and not do a bunch of under the table business deals and bilk the taxpayers of money.
@@jamesrogers9949 -- Undoubtedly, Biden and Trump have traveled more than Chase Oliver. Still, Chase is the only Libertarian candidate who has campaigned in all fifty states. Does that mean I'll vote for him? Nope. Still, that's kind of impressive to be doing so much on a shoestring budget.
I will say though, you mentioned Ellis Island but many also came through Galveston, my great grandparents did in the 1900's. I'm from Texas, have to plug for state. lol
I understand his point about most migrants being peaceful, but a totally open border is unsustainable. I admire him trying to be a consistent Libertarian, though, and believe him to be a good evangelist for the party.
@thirty_character_limit -- It is one step away from an "open border" and having a system set up where everybody is required to go through a legal "port of entry" will still necessitate a certain degree of control and enforcement. It isn't possible to have an "Ellis Island" type of system where you check, examine and vet newcomers without a defined & enforceable border. If you advocate tearing down all walls and barriers, then that ends up being a de facto open border. Attempting to find that "sweet spot" will be more easily said than done, but I still respect his line of thinking. P.S. Millions of US citizens struggling to get by love their families too.
Original libertarians believe in open borders though. Freedom of movement is one of the foundational libertarian principles, and it take it to the stream. Sure, there are some libertarians with more moderate views on the border, but fundamental libertarians will always support open borders, or at the very least a lenient immigration policy.
The likely nominee and one of only 4 who will be on enough ballots to win. You may remember him from the Georgia Senate debate, the Iowa Causes or his coverage in Rolling Stone.
Donald Trump is the George Floyd of the GOP. Biden is demented. But the LP loses me when they start talking about legalizing drugs and freeing the druggies.
We've wasted over 1 trillion dollars and 50+ years, only for drugs to win the War on Drugs. It's time to cut our losses, since gov has only made it worse.

Love your immigration poliocy. I've been saying for a long time that what we need is a new Ellis Island.
Finally a candidate that is rational!

You are not alone in that sentiment.
Yup. Agreed.
Yeah, we need a president that won't get any support from either party
We've had that for the past 7 years.
Both parties have supported each other in bankrupting our nation for years.
With only the backong of 80,000 dope smokers....he wont go far

How many books has he read?
They would be a breath of fresh air. My opinion

And.......alrighty then.

Donald Trump for president!
