My 300L stock seat is admittedly hard, but on a 180 mile trip last weekend, I was pleasantly surprised. My butt felt better when I got home, than it did when I made the same trip on my Africa Twin! My neck, shoulders, and hands are another story. I was brutalized by the wind, and vibration of the torquier engine, that had me hanging on for dear life. That said, it WAS still a fun ride, just a more “aggressive” one. So anyway, I’m going to wait and see if the stock seat breaks in, and winds up as comfy as the stock seat on my 250L.
I ordered a seat for my T7 over 2 months ago. It’s supposed to be here Friday. I’m so excited.

CRFs Only has the standard seats just not the XL version. The XL does not come as a foam and pad kit, just complete seat only so that is why there is a longer wait.

As you know from earlier questions, I am in the middle of gathering parts for my CRF250L here in the Philippines.
-Did they give you any insight as to adding the XL for the 250 also?
-If not do you agree the Tall and the Standard are equally comfortable? The only difference being the extra 1" seat height (which at 5'11 I don't need). Included in the comfort question is if there is a difference in pillion comfort, my wife is on the back at least once a week.

I think if they had enough people asking for a CRF250L XL seat, they would do it.
As far as I can tell the Standard and the tall seat feels about the same. The pillion part is not as good as the the operator position but it is way better than the stock seat.

Yea I was told 1 more month but Ken at CRFs Only said they told him longer.

Mine is finally on the way! Took about 10 weeks but so what. That's why I ordered over the winter can't ride anyway freezing and salt is dumped everywhere. I got the Comfort XL for the Rally and had to send my pan in. FedEx charged me $41 for ground shipping! I thought that was a lot but maybe shipping has gone up and I bought a box there too.

I am running the Renthal Jimmy Button bend bars. I like the because they are a high bend.

I am also 6’1” and the standard XL is perfect for me. It’s the same height as the stock seat

That looks good. Comfort is pretty important on a bike like this. Not sure if I'll change the seat yet. I'll give it a while and see in the spring. If I do change, Seat Concepts will be the choice I think. A friend locally had a Corbin seat on his 250L, and man that seat was heavy. I suspect the Seat Concepts are similar in weight to the stock seat. I had the Spiral Step Seat on my 250 and it was the same weight as the stocker.
Yea the Seat Concepts XL like I have is not available yet but should be in a month or so. It is a little bit more weight than the stock because of the foam but worth it
How long did it take you to get your bike once ordered ?
Mine was 6 months but I had preordered it before any of them had arrived in the U.S

Your welcome. I actually decided to get the tail stock on the 300L, I do like the looks of the tail tidy better but the stock sure does a great job of keeping the water off my back

$360 is INSANE. I bought a PURPLE brand honeycomb style gel seat pad for $40 and it's AMAZING.
I looked and they have a banner that says price increase coming in 2022, so I guess I better spend some money lol. I know out of about 100 miles over the course of a few hours I stand about 10-15 miles of it lol.

Haha yea I had the FMF exhaust and EJK on the 2014 250L but really the gain that you get for the cost it really not much.
I like the low end torque of the stock exhaust better.
