The CRF450L Complete Seat by Seat Concepts is designed with wider super comfortable foam, which is available in three different sizes to best suit the rider. This Comfort XL size is available with the black gripper top and red sides, while the Comfort and Comfort Low sizes come sporting the all black gripper look. Justin gives us his full review on this seat after having the chance to really put it to the test on a five day adventure ride. i have also the Comfort XL on my CRF450L... best investment i did to this bike !!!!
no more pains anymore...
now i can go with my bike everywhere without having my butt and spine hurting like hell
I dig my comfort gripper, excellent for single track, just as good for road miles....and it doesn’t look absurd. 👍🏻
Now I want the CRF450L... and the XL seat... and that Tusk dash plate... I see what you guys did ;)
I have one on my XR 650L it's awesome . The seat concepts along with Pivot Pegz make those long rides comfortable. Great Video ""RIDE ON""
thanks! - Justin
Im an Old Gummy and the stock seat is like riding a 2x4 with cloth on it.I rode it home about 30 miles and butt was sore fir a week..Haven’t had a chance to try the new Concepts unit yet, weather sucked ,then I tweaked my back..next week..
Комфортная сидуха это наверное самое главное. Seats very good!
I got the 2018 crf450r. And I’m wishing I got the x. Or maybe even the xr. I got back into riding after 10years off. Now I’m trying to switch out stuff on my r to make it more desert/comfortable-less race track-ish. Lol.
I have a DR650 that comes with the standard factory upholstered board for a seat. I got a Sargents seat (free) from a buddy who sold his DR. Better, but not quite there yet. So I ordered a sheepskin seat cover (from Alaska Leather) specifically for dual sport bikes. Now I can only ride for (about) 4 miles at a time. Every 4 miles I have to get off the bike so my butt can laugh.😄 On the negative side... being from Kentucky, I look like a hillbilly pimp😎. But it's all good.👍
I can't work out why Honda skimped on the seat for the CRF450L. Particularly as the seat skin for the CRF250L will fit onto the carcass. ( I worked that one out later)
I found an earlier model Seat Concepts seat online that I adapted to the original seat carcass, as the pain from the original seat was unbearable. The seat that they make for the CRF450L is a low profile seat which is better for shorties like me.
I'm from the UK, just waiting on my comfort xl to be made and shipped. I wasn't sure whether to go with the standard comfort or the xl, your vid has made me think I have made the right choice!
No doubt about it. the XL on this bike is the way. Not too big by any means. you will love it! - Justin
@@rmatvmc would u suggest the xl comfort on a ktm 500 exc-f
Cool review! Do you guys make a universal plate for toggle switches and a 12volt as shown on the bike your riding? I own a DRZ 400s.
Thanks!
Nothing universal, but we will make some specific ones shortly. DRZ included. - Justin
In the review you say to buy the XL over the standard comfort. On your website it doesn't appear that you carry the XL just the standard comfort. Please advise.
Whats the metal plate covering ur speedo gauge etc?
PR7 review PLEASE!
I'm sold on the seat. What is the Tusk device on the handlebar?
Are this factory bars or did you change them out?
OK you said you did this 450L build, you know we will be needing that video right? :)

Seems like you suspension was struggling with all that luggage. Is that a Highway Dirt Bikes tip clamp your running?
When is bike build time?
When you coming out with the video what do you do with the twitchy Throttle
So, it appears the twitchy throttle shows its ugly head when the coolant reaches 60 C (or is it 50?) and the ECU decides to cut fuel whenever you throttle down. There are ways to fix this I won't go into on a RMATV video. Some suggest they get used to it after a thousand miles. I didn't notice it in my first few rides and nor did one of my 450 class racing buddies. Well, that's because the bike wasn't fully warm. Now I know.
I’m debating the xl and the regular seat concepts for my Drz400sm
same! which is better? I have a relatively fat ass
Same boat.. did you pick one?
@@ThePleds I bought the xl
@@mcjedwards How do you like it?
Does you ass still hurt after a few hours riding?
at that price should come with a good seat, all the bikes in the 70s came with good seats now you have to replace the seat btw I have a 2015 xr650L I am getting this seat
Just be carefull when you order one, the price can almost be double as the advertised price.
I payed 192€ shipping costs to Belgium, thats the same amount as the price of the seat!!
It said 90$ shipping costs on the webshop. But once UPS came on my door with the package i had to pay another 102€! :o
In the US we have free shipping on orders over $75 but sorry to hear about you having to pay that much for shipping over there in Belgium. Thanks for letting us and others know about that. Have you gotten to put the seat on yet?
Import duties are fun
Stock seat is 4” and the Comfort Standard is 7.75 “....
XL seat

Screw the seat...what saddle bags are those? I wanna get a set
These are prototype Tusk bags shown in this video. Make sure to keep an eye out for them soon!
450l adventure bike? I would think the xr650l would be a better platform for such and way more reliable.
We have one of those as well. Different strokes for different folks. - Justin
I used to live in that area. Now I'm stuck in WI with no public land. Depressing looking back into my childhood trail availability.
At least you have good cheese out there???
MassCityMadman WI sucks for trails I live in the mid west and only ride private land :(
I don't have any problems with the stock seat. I have ridden mine for 4 hours at a time and don't have any pains but that is probably because I am not a fat-ass 56 year old. I work out. It seems everyone that rides ADV style is some fat old man (I'm old too). I think if people weren't fat they wouldn't be having ass problems.
Unfortunately that's just not true. Justin, the rider in this video, weighs 140 lbs. But glad you're not having an issues with the stock seat!
