I was thinking same thing. 100 hours is like 4-5 weeks of Warzone lol. I just had a controller crap out on me. The left stick won’t click consistently so I can’t slide cancel when I run. Just bought the elite 2
@@edwardheath7943 how do you like it? I just picked one up used lol took a chance cuz it was in pretty good shape and wanted to test it out and so far I really like it
Stick drift right out of box. It’s very light but it’s there. That being said, it is a great functional controller while it works. I can snipe MUCH easier in warzone or Pubg. But the price is steep considering I’ll probably have to exchange it to Microsoft 3-4 times while it’s under warranty
Never owned elite but thinking of buying one, my local gameshop has a refurbished elite 1 for $100 cheaper than elite 2, what do u recommend? Only play like 10 hours a week.
Aggro Vizn lightly used on eBay for $125, and came with the PC adapter too. Works perfect and came in original packaging, it had minimal wear signs, the guy said he only had it for 9 months.
Just did the exact same thing tonight. I “supposedly” bought it for $135 but taxes and shipping brought it to $160 😑 Just hoping the controller works well and looks as good as it does in the provided pics
I bought series 2 used for 100 looked great on pics and had original packaging guy said he only used it once but I know that’s a lie but the controller is in amazing shape it literally does look brand new only couple stains on the front that I rubbed off with alcohol but other that so far so good crossing my fingers :)
Does anyone know a true effective difference? I plan on getting the Series X when it launches, so therefore having the elite 2 would be nice. However, you already get a controller when buying the console, so yiddle Dee Dee. Anyway, how long does it take before the grips start coming undone? I plan on buying the 1st series, and using it until the launch of the Series X. But my only question is, is it worth buying? It is $100 at gamestop.
Had the 1st one since early 2019 I believe I recommend black I got white and it was a huge mistake you can see every little scratch but nothing else is broken
The Xbox elite series 2 is pretty bad the joysticks mess up and the Lb and Rb also the paddles too I’ve got two elite series two and they both messed up I’m planning on getting the series 1
My Series 1 elite controller was nice. It did have problems. The rubber pieces came off on both sides. And the right joystick moves to the left at any moment. The left one does too but it is extremely rare that it happens. Unlike the left one that does it every few seconds. I just got the 2nd Series. Been playing with it for a week. No issues as of yet. The controller feels great in my hands. Has some weight on it. I love how it comes with a charger and the fact that you can charge it in and out of the case. The paddles are better because they are smaller. Series 2 controller was worth it for me. I'm glad I made the purchase. It you have the cash then go for it.
I need a wireless adapter for my XBOX Elite Series 1 Controller, which doesn't have Bluetooth, to my Windows 11 laptop. Can you suggest which one to buy?
I ordered a new aftermarket set of the thumbsticks and they don't fit on my XBOX Series I thumbstick posts. I'm assuming they sent me a set for the series 2 as they don't seat on the posts. The replacement stick heads are too narrow to fully seat properly on the posts I don't have that tensioner piece like the Series 2 has which you showed in this video. You said the sticks aren't interchangeable between the 2 series, correct? XBOX is ridiculous with their nomenclature on all their Xbox products. The newest controller is just named "XBOX" on the box. ???!
Can the new Shift function change one of the buttons into an entirely new button or a combination of buttons eg: Shift + Y = Q or Shift + Y = A + B? That's the decider for me. I mainly play on PC so being able to do that would definitely make the series 2 worth it. Otherwise, I'd probably just stick with my series 1 until it breaks or whatever then consider upgrading. The stick tension and extra trigger setting are nice but not worth replacing my series 1 (still in perfect condition) for. At least, not at that price.
Very interesting ! One question : are the paddle from elite 2 compatible with elite 1 controller ?? oups I get the answer in the rest of the video ..... Thanks !! 🙂 By the way it's November the 11th 2021... Still happy with the elite 2 controller ??
Have a series 1 for 6-7 years with probably thousands of hours on it. Not even really taking care of it. It only started to crap out on me, with ghost button presses and stick drift, a week ago. Really wish I could buy another one brand new, but it's stupidly expensive now.
Cool review. I've had a series one for almost 5 years now and it still works well. Why do you mention 100 hours like that is a lot though? Even small kids game more than that over the course one summer. Some people game that much in two weeks...
Pay 4 to 5 times more than a standard controller plus it falls apart while playing. But guys listen, you can pay an extra 30€ for new joysticks when that happens😌
Great review video! I only knew about this controller thanks to Crowbcat video I've watched years ago where it shows all the problems with the controller. At the time, I don't own an Xbox One until this year where I've finally decided to try 8th gen consoles (I haven't stopped using it, it so much fun). I was considered buying the controller until I saw the price for 1 controller at one of my local game store in Malaysia where it cost RM669 (about $151) which with that price I can buy another 2nd hand Xbox One console. Maybe that price is worth for someone who does competitive gaming?
I've owned 1 single Elite Controller, which lasted for 4 years, and after a quick Repair, lasted another 2. I've owned 4 Elite Series 2 Controllers, which all broke within a week.
Just a nit pick but the Elite 1 didn't come out in 2013 7:47 It came out a couple years later (I grabbed day 1 as well) Great video though! I've been teetering on upgrading for a while and I've been itching super hard lately.
@@joshbentley2307 yeah but people like the internal battery because I guess it looks aesthetically pleasing like the PS5, so even if it breaks the consumer mindset is (just a buy a new one anyway).
