What if; You wanted to play Rainmaker. But God said; A bug has been found in the Ver.1.2.0 update of Splatoon3 that affects the Rainmaker Anarchy Battle mode. We will release an update soon to fix this issue. In the meantime, Rainmaker has been temporarily removed from Anarchy Battle. We apologize for the inconvenience.
I hope Dude doesn’t take this the wrong way but seeing him miss shots makes me feel a lot better about still needing to work on improving my own aim. Like sometimes I feel like I am utterly on point with my shots and then 2 seconds later I will dance around someone as we both try and fail to hit each other. And then I run out of ink because I am very dumb and lose track of how full my ink tank is lol. It is just comforting to know that even pros make mistakes sometimes and I don’t *have* to be *perfect* .
I mean, it plays into the whole point of the series being "In The Mind"! Your aim and technical skill will improve with time, especially if you know the ways to work on them, but it's the _mindset_ that really helps the skill of your playstyle.
Watching you play eliter makes me feel a lot better how I am at using it. Not saying I'm better, because I'm %100 not, but how you are so nonchalant about missing shots. Keeping your mindset right. The main takeaway for me though, is I should be looking at picking up the rainmaker more as an eliter, depending on the team comp. It is funny, because some times I'll just think "FINE! I'll run it in" and then we are able to take the lead or get a knockout. Come to find out I should have probably been picking it up the whole match with what everyone was using. Great stuff Dude!
fellow eliter main, felt this! i get hard on myself about missing shots, its comforting to see folks at a higher level of play keep a level head about it. and same about picking up rainmaker. it makes sense when you think about the rainmaker in terms of a weapon role; it fits into a similar category as a backliner, so its as if a backliner picking it up isnt shorting the team any other roles. :}
One thing about eliter is that it's less about actually making shots and more about the zone control and fear. Enemies are scared to be within range of you whether you hit 100% of shots or not, so just enforcing such a large zone around you means you're contributing a ton
@@apersonwhomayormaynotexist9868 That's great advice honestly. On Mincemeat Metalworks especially, I know for a fact that E-liter can reach you halfway across the map so I tend to stay off of the platform right across from the spawn grate. When there's an E-liter I stay on the ground and try to draw their attention to me so my teammates can do something and half the time I'm trying to juke the E-liter enough to take it out
All Rainmaker Holder's Please make sure to 1) make sure that the checkpoint is hit before going to the Goal 2) make sure to not retreat to a point where the enemy hasn't passed yet.
love carrying the rainmaker! theres still a lot of stuff i need to learn of course but im so glad i learned to have fun carrying the rainmaker early in splat 2 :) its a funny mix of defending and actually using it as a weapon and being good at slipping away from the enemy and having to figure out your opening where you can get to the pedestal and learning when to trust your team mates. in other modes i struggle with game awareness more sometimes but not as much in rainmaker for some reason
God it was so relieving to see you using ELiter and missing basic shots and necessary moments to shine and falling through. I get so down on myself doing exactly that, but seeing you do the same puts my mind at ease, in a way Also so glad you agree about Makomart being a struggle to snipe on! Mako is my favorite map, but since I picked up the ELiter, I've been liking it less and less and it's making me sad;;
I call that painting that "line" chin music... like when a pitcher throws a ball inside on a batter to get him to stop crowding the plate. A line that if you jump over or stand up to paint, you're going to get hit (hopefully haha)
Love your videos. I'm relatively new to the game and I've been struggling with rainmaker and tower... I love hearing your thought process and seeing your strategy for the different modes. I get so nervous when I pick up the rainmaker... but now I know how to play it a little smarter thanks to you.
What you said after the first match is something more people need to understand, basically to pay more attention to the "now" rather than the "later", or paying attention to what is more relevant. I had a match where a brush on our team went away, making paths instead of helping stop the push, and thus, we lost. I was discussing this with some friends and they said "well, he's preparing for when you guys got the rainmaker", but the thing is, because he was making sure to have paths, he wasn't paying attention to the push the other team was doing, and it costs us the match.
Thanks for the tips. When you are playing the game and using the headphone mic, your audio is clipping when your voice gets excited. Maybe just turn down the gain
Does anyone have any tips for the map undertow spillway? The only ideas I could think of is either use big bubbler, blasters, and maybe sloshers (particularly the higher up ones). But besides that, I have no idea how to properly play on this map or what weapons work well. The map is split in the middle in an awkward way and even though it has a good sniping area the left side is uninkable wall and the area that it covers can easily be avoided or shot at and since it the snipe is also uninkable it doesn't have a good escape route. On rainmaker and tower control I do somewhat enjoy it but that's because I am a charger player. In splat zones and clam blitz I just suck at it.
Hey Dude! Do you do coaching? Bcuz I am using gyro controls. My play style depends on the weapons I'm using, for example I'm using .52 gal and Heri shot replica, I normally get 10-17 kill every other game but always lose even when I do the objective. I've learned everything from you, but coaching I feel would give me a better gaming style and knowledge
@@edwardspencer-EDS Squid rolling nulls damage, like if you were about to be hit by an indirect blaster shot and squid rolled,it would nullify that damage. But i believe it can only null 100 damage. Bombs and direct blaster shots deal over a 100 damage so squid rolling wouldn’t be useful.
I still cringe at my first rainmaker match where in a panic I just completely fucking forgot we were meant to take it to the enemy base AND I BOOKED IT BACKWARDS TO MY TEAMS BASE it was my first ever anarchy battle too and I just humiliated myself lol

The only time I retreat to my base with rainmaker is when the timer is about to run out so I can prevent an overtime (assuming we are in the lead)
That guy at 8:17 painted EXACTLY at the right time, amazing
Great timing, now that Rainmaker is back in the rotation pool.
8:00 A+ teammate there, you guys were basically on the same wavelength

This has to be one of my favourite vids from you Dude. Some very sick plays and I feel like I learned a lot about Rainmaker and playing Anchor.
8:10 you arnt going to thank your teammate for painting the podium? My g won the game in a way

4:30 To use a pokemon term: Entry Hazards
what if you used the replays to also watch your teammates point of view and give your thoughts or takeaways on crucial moments in the match?

Yeah I've seen that a lot lol. Some people will be in the enemy base and completely miss the fact the rainmaker is on the other side of the Map lol.
11:35 the schmovement, holy
im glad your uploading these types of videos more
No doubt your explanations help me a lot, thanks DUDE.
Happy to help!
GGs DUDE, I was the jellyfish playing in the dirt on Spillway

this video really helped me with rainmaker
but it still doesnt help sometimes when its your team mates not knowing what to do sometimes ; _ ;

Came here for the judd pillow. stayed for the judd pillow
I'll put it to practice in the next Rainmaker rota...oh wait...
Dude's mentality is unshakeable
This is definitely the mode I'm worst at. The strategy is just less intuitive for some reason.
Thank a lot bc I can’t play rainmaker anymore! Really Helpful!
No problem!
@@ThatSrb2DUDE Extremely helpful bc now I can play rainmaker!
So glad rainmaker is back after the update but the giltch got me to S+30 ❤❤

How to be the Rainmaker main that your team needs
Do you know what sensitivity dude uses when playing chargers?
I fucking HATE backlining in Mart. Any weapon can just pop you from any meaningful position. I hate having to play around it.
Two questions:
When I squid roll it never seems to save me , just wondering how it works ?
And also how much dam do you take if you walk in enemy ink?
Squid roll only gives armor, not invincibility. and I don’t know what damage enemy ink gives.
For one don’t call me an idiot for not been 100 percent clear I don’t want to be writing an essay
I just mean when squid rolling in a bomb or a direct blaster attack it isn’t always reliably saving me
How does the armour work then? (That’s how you spell it)
