I'm SO happy you loved the Barbie movie!! for some reason i thought maybe you wouldn't like it, so i'm very happy to hear you loved it this much, ahhh!! I went to watch it yesterday and it was such a fun movie, genuinely i didn't expect it to be such a success, it's incredible 💗
i love that we both just randomly rewatched face/off this month, it’s truly a movie that just needs to be rewatched every now and again. also just saw talk to me and it was phenomenal! telling all my friends to go see it!
Yes!! High ten! 💜 We went to the drive-in to see it. I was cackling so loudly that I'm sure my partner was embarrassed lol. And then i cried a lot too. It was therapeutic lol.
Hi Emma! I also just finished Tin and Tina the other night and agree with all your comments 100%. Sometimes creepy, sometimes humorous, and sometimes deeply uncomfortable to watch. But I thought it was very well shot and acted. It has definitely lingered in my mind a bit.
Just watched Biosphere from your recommendation and OH MY GOD I did not expect it to go in that direction, thank you for being vague about it! Probably one of the most unique end of the world movies I've seen. I wish I could talk about it more but I don't want to give away spoilers but it's definitely a movie you need to go into blind.
Thank goodness for these videos, I’m a teacher off for the summer and thanks to the terrible weather, I feel like I’ve watched every horror I can think of 😂
The only men that are sooking at Barbie either didnt watch it or are the exact men the film is making fun of. As a bloke myself, i loved it. And anyone that says its man hating, did you even watch the ending?
I’m definitely checking out Barbie. Great way to detox from the dark side. I have a feeling it’s going to get a lot of Oscar nominations. I just hope that song does not get stuck in my head. Everyone is warning me lol.
I haven't seen Barbie, but what a huge movie! I work across the street from a movie theater and all week I've been seeing huge crowds all wearing pink, lol. Looks like we have a new cult hit.
Eyes Wide Shut is one of my favourites! It wasn't at first, but I really enjoy watching it every 5 years or so. As you age I suppose your perspective changes about the themes and narrative, well for me it has! Joy Ride was AMAZING to me, but I'm half Asian and was raised in an Asian community. Highly recommend for North American Asians!!
Barbie was a 10/10 for me too! We all love horror here, but Barbie was such a joy to watch, I was smiling and laughing the whole film. I knew it would be funny and smart because I trusted Greta and Noah from the moment they announced the film, but it exceeded my expectations with how genuinely hilarious it was. It has a great emotional side to it too. Overall, best theatre experience I've had in a long time. Oh, and The Bear is fantastic, although I'm curious how you feel about Claire in season 2.
Haha I can see that but we didn’t get much of that yet, I feel like she was more one dimensional for the sake of making it a story about his inability to connect. Hopefully we get more on her if there’s another season
@@spookyastronauts Yeah, I just hope that if they bring her back we'll get to see a more complex and interesting character overall. I'll trust the writers, so let's hope they (and actors) get the deal they deserve.
Loved, loved, loved Biosphere. Hilarious and unique. We went in not knowing anything about it, definitely the best way to watch it. Also loved Talk to me. There are plans for Talk to me too and Bring her back!
I wish that people would stop hating on Barbie before they see it. It was literally hilarious& makes fun of both men and women. The message is literally “nobody should live in someone else’s shadow” and people are mad?!?!
you were talking about Kidman's Monolog in Eyes Wide Shut..which made me think of another great scene she does in another movie....and then later in ur vid you even mention that movie. For me one of the best acting moments in cinema history is nicole kidman in The Stepford Wives at the start when she's getting fired and we see a close-up of her face with her reaction to it.
Have you kept up with yellow jackets, servant and from? I remember you recommending the 1st season to each and haven't heard you talk about them since if not they are really good.

The way I laughed when you brought Tin & Tina 😂 That movie was like a fever dream! The husband was an all-time dumb/gaslight-y horror husband right alongside the dude from Orphan. The amount of things he just brushed off were increasingly comedic.
Hi Emma! Saw Barbie in the US and it was excellent! I have never seen so many people dressed in pastels in my life! I just want to fan-boy over you for a minute. Can you please please please review the independant movie The Bunny Game written and starring Rodleen Getsic, from 2010 avant-grade horror film? I found it to be the most terrifying concept I might have ever seen.
As someone who watches many horror movies, have you found the trope of "the Black character dies first" something that is acurate? I liked The Blackening, more than I thought I would, in large part because I didn't like the marketing, which was largely built around that trope e.g. "If everyone is Black then who dies first?". I get why they focus on that for the poster, even if the movie itself doesnt really all that much, but the more I think about it and every horror movie I've ever seen, it just doesnt seem to happen enough to warrant actually being a trope. If you praise Barbie THAT highly I've GOT to check it out. Sounds like you saw a different movie than what all the critics have claimed. Lots of love to Gromit! ❤
As much as I hate attending the movies ( aggravating noise and irritating behavior of people ( ie staying on cell phone entire movie!!), I am going to try again with me going to see Talk to Me today bc of your review. Ty💙
Biosphere, I'm on it. First, A Man Escaped. Haven't Seen Barbie yet, went to Oppenheimer first. Huge Greta fan. Love Frances Ha. House of the dEvil. Me, "No, not the pretty one, JC". LadyBird's next up. Tin and Tina. Mmm. There's too much separation between key moments filled with, silly childish things. You can't go the Zelot route, the literal aspect, and impose things figuratively. A disconnect happens in the depiction of the characters. As you said, a comedy.? I think if they defined the characters to one side, they would be frightening, and the scenes then would be horrifying. So I guess you would be right as just creepy kids. The scene I found horrifying in regard to "Different Children", would be the cat and staircase, and the following decision was in The Innocents. Thank you for Biosphere. BTW, I can recommend some older films. Wild Strawberries and Summer With Monica and The Cranes Are Flying.
I watched The Sound of Freedom and Talk To Me recently. Both are excellent films. Both are in my top 3 of the year so far. I thought Run Rabbit Run was pretty solid. I was entertained...
I thought “How to Blow up a Pipeline” was a documentary about how the US gov blew up the Nord Stream causing the most devastating ecological disaster in decades…
But yeah it makes sense that Hollywood made a movie to shift the attention away from the awful ecological impact, and repackage it as an “super impactful act of ecoterrorism”
Came for the horror content, but was most excited for you to talk about Barbie :)

What critics? Most loved it, I mean I’m a rotten tomatoes critic too! It was just the headlines that were rage baiting.
@@spookyastronauts The ones on RUclips who complained about agendas fot the most part
As much as I hate attending the movies ( aggravating noise and irritating behavior of people ( ie staying on cell phone entire movie!!), I am going to try again with me going to see Talk to Me today bc of your review. Ty💙
Hope you love it
Been thinking about watching Tin and Tina. It looks like such an odd killer kid horror movie. I'll have to give it a shot.
It’s so weird
Willy Wonka is a great horror movie and im serious, if u know what to look for and turn ur mind set into believing ur watching a horror, it works
I plan on going to the movies and see Barbie movie aug. 3
Hope you love it
Hope your dog gets better.
I reccomend watching Oppenheiner. For a film that it's not of the horror genre, it's pretty scary because it's real life. Plus it's just a good movie.
Yes I talk about this at the end! I’m seeing it
Biosphere, I'm on it.
I think if they defined the characters to one side, they would be frightening,
and the scenes then would be horrifying. So I guess you would be right as just creepy kids.
The scene I found horrifying in regard to "Different Children", would be the cat and staircase,
and the following decision was in The Innocents.
Thank you for Biosphere.
BTW, I can recommend some older films. Wild Strawberries and Summer With Monica and The Cranes Are Flying.
I found red door to be a bit boring, not rubbish but the same kind of feeling I had about conjuring 3. 🎃🎃👍👍
Oppenheimer Slay Incoming
If anyone else wants to recomend me any movies it would be much appreciated i have recently got stan and prime video
Is it every youtuber? I hear all the horror RUclipsrs have their views slashed and ads slashed. Her, Cody leach, myself and others.
Hmm I’m not sure what you are referring to. I never said this happened to me, nothing has changed on my account. My views are actually up.
@@spookyastronauts oh okay my bad. You mean your dog its been rough couple of months personally. Yeah I was like you're crushing it.
Yeah my dog has cancer. It wasn’t anything to do with my channel
@@spookyastronauts your channel is awesome. I remember you had that playlist with creators on it and it started me doing RUclips.
@@spookyastronauts your videos are so personal even your reviews like we’re going to the movies with you. Do you have any advice?
TALK TO ME 🖤
I watched The Sound of Freedom and Talk To Me recently. Both are excellent films. Both are in my top 3 of the year so far.
I thought Run Rabbit Run was pretty solid.
I was entertained...
I love ❤️ movie 🍿 Willy wonka and the chocolate 🍫 factory 🏭
I thought “How to Blow up a Pipeline” was a documentary about how the US gov blew up the Nord Stream causing the most devastating ecological disaster in decades…
But yeah it makes sense that Hollywood made a movie to shift the attention away from the awful ecological impact, and repackage it as an “super impactful act of ecoterrorism”
nope i think this might be different to what you are talking about.
🖤
Insidious was indeed very disapointing... very sad about it.
You can have Barbie. I just will never…👍🏻😏
I found The Bear way too stressful to watch. The chaos and the yelling and the pressure...not for me.
haha i get that
I just can’t imagine what Barbie is like 😝
