    Just another reason I'm grateful for your coverage of games. Found out last night that your videos soothe our 2 month old when he is upset late at night. So between that and my wife and i really enjoying your coverage of this and the Iliad, it turned to a really nice night. Just wanted to say love your coverage of games and thank you!

    This looks like a great game. All the abilities and extra rules add a lot of diversity to each play. Sold!

    This looks much like a classic game and I imagine the pieces highlighting the spaces of the board they passed. But I also imagine getting AP making choices for this 😂

    Mannnn I really like you two 😊 always excited to see you pop up on a new Kickstarter. Love how easy you make things seem, love your structure of teaching the game and then playing it, and I love your playful banter throughout! Thanks for making me unwittingly decide to purchase yet another game when I definitely don't need more 😅

    This looks like a fun two player game. I’d like the idea of playing the game back to back with opposite sidesand having the difference in the two games determine the winner.

    Maybe it’s because you’re sitting side by side, but removing and handing back tokens constantly seems annoying. But I think sitting across from each other and the figures being upright will make it better

    is the Hydra move at 8:20 a legal move? is that not the power of the minotaur? Apollo being "trapped" feels like only the Minotaur can move that way. I could have missed something though.

    • @BitewingGames
      @BitewingGames 9 дней назад

      She moved Hydra from the right side of the board to the left side of the board. That is a normal/legal movement for any character. Minotaur's ability is to move off the edge of the board and re-enter from the opposite edge of the board - this is particularly useful if a figure is blocking your path/access to the opposite side of the board.
      Apollo was indeed trapped. An ability like Hermes (teleport), Hercules (push a figure), Minotaur (exit the edge), or Griffon (jump over a figure) would be the only way to escape in that scenario. Where Apollo doesn't have that ability, he is flat-out stuck.

    I'm surprised they didn't choose Nike, goddess of victory, for the alternate win condition card.

    This looks fun but I wonder if there's going to be a serious First Turn Advantage with it.

    • @BitewingGames
      @BitewingGames 10 дней назад +3

      We haven't noticed one in our testing. Often the second player can erase or flip the early lead that Player 1 gets, so it becomes a back and forth struggle of who is in the lead. Also, you play two games (once on each side) which both evens the playing field and makes for an interesting/evolving meta.

    Would be ideal if the tokens were double side.

    • @BitewingGames
      @BitewingGames 9 дней назад

      Yeah, but that would increase the production cost and price of the game. For what it's worth, we've found that it takes maybe 10 second to flip all the tokens face-up during setup. From there, it's really smooth and easy to stack and unstack them as you lay them out and pick them up. You never really think about or use the other side once the game begins. :)

    • @adamliny15
      @adamliny15 9 дней назад

      @@BitewingGames For this game in particular, double sided tokens would add a lot to the gameplay. Placing the tokens, removing the tokens, and placing once again can be annoying. I think there is too much randomness and chaos for the average board game player to table this more than once or twice. I like the way Iliad plays in comparison.

    • @BitewingGames
      @BitewingGames 9 дней назад

      @@adamliny15 We’ve found a lot of replayability in Ichor and think it’s got some pretty solid legs. But we know not every game is for everyone. Sounds like Iliad may be the game of the 2 that best matches your preferences.
