  • My OTHER big bucket list run (along with Chimney). Nice spring conditions and a very flat, smooth runout gave me the chance to finally ski this. Next time I will wait for powder though. This makes the only major new lines I really want to ski at Mammoth some of the Top of the World chutes, but the snow was more variable in that area and I did not fully trust the runout.

      @Daley Spam oh sick! The middle where the side step tracks are looked solid. Thanks for showing all of the best parts if Mammoth. I need to get out there one of these days. Are these type of runs fairly lappable?

    • @DaleySpam
      @DaleySpam  Год назад +1

      @@jacobovermyer Oh yeah, the middle was the hardest part. Kiwi is not very lappable (takes two lifts, though one time is probably more than enough for a day lol), nor is Philippe's, but pretty much all the rest of the Chair 23 terrain is, and it is all really fun!

    Holy shit bro. Bucket list completions are the best. What other runs do you have on that list? (at any resort)

    • @DaleySpam
      @DaleySpam  Год назад +1

      I'd say the top ones for mountains that I know fairly well are Chimney Sweep and Center Line, some more Fingers lines, and some China Wall lines at Squaw, more Top of the World lines at Mammoth, and the Baldy Chutes at Alta. Besides that just some of the classics like Corbet's at Jackson Hole, Senior's at Telluride, and Big Couloir (along with a lot of the rest of the Lone Peak terrain) at Big Sky. Also basically everything off the ridgeline at Bridger Bowl. Hopefully I can travel to some new resorts next season!

    Every time I think that you can't outdo your last send, you outdo your last send. I am afraid of the rocks...but I think the rocks are afraid of YOU. Have you ever scratched your base or marred an edge? Asking for a friend. Great channel!!! Cheers!

    • @DaleySpam
      @DaleySpam  Год назад

      Ha thanks! Yeah I have gotten plenty of base and edge scratches, but those tend to be when I am billy-goating in sketchy areas as opposed to letting it rip.

  • @parkimedes
    @parkimedes Год назад +3

    Wow! That is really impressive! You must be very comfortable with speed! If you have used tracking apps, what is your top speed? I watched this at half speed, because the actual run only takes 10 seconds! What other run on the mountain can be done in 10 seconds?

    • @DaleySpam
      @DaleySpam  Год назад +2

      Thanks! This day I tracked 61 mph, though I am not 100% sure if it was on this actual run. I think the best runs for going super fast are the upper mountain groomers (Cornice Bowl and Scotty’s) but only if you are able to ski them when there aren’t a lot if other people around

    I feel compelled to link to an all-time classic of the genre: ruclips.net/video/JtzhWnii-A8/видео.html (it says Star Chute, but it's actually Kiwi. The Starr Chutes are lower on the skier's left, accessed via White Bark or by climbing from Chair 12)
